I like how Snipe doesn't use non-lethal weapons, but pulls out actual guns and shoots actual bullets

don't see that too often in battle manga and comics

Bakugo's crew was canon. Also the episode was great for Kaminari, he was hilarious with his faces during his scene of capture.

Kirishima was a great friend too, actually he seems like he'd easily win the superlative for friendliest characters. Also I love how Bakugou has already warmed up to him and all, beside him at all times and even responded to him warmly when it was time to go. Too bad the season ended on this note.

Ojiro needs more love.

What an ending, the music really justifies the adaptation, its just so good. Also really happy to see confirmation of Season 2. At the risk of overhyping, the two next arcs are exponentially better than this one. I'll start work on the second OT when the time comes.

If you need more MHA in your life, come on over to the manga thread! Remember we freely talk about manga spoilers then, so be sure to read up.

You can buy Volumes 1-4 from Amazon or your favorite book seller.

If you want to continue reading the manga where the anime left off, its chapter 21 Page 18, in Volume 3. For those not on the US or without a way to get it, you can find the whole series with great quality translations online, should be really easy to find if you have google.

Don't forget to support the official releases!

Man, I'm so glad that we got the Season 2 confirmation (both here on the thread before the episode, and after the ep was over)

Loved the pro heroes putting the work, and the big evil dude on the top of the building looks fucking menacing.

Can't wait for "soon" :D

Damn, the music was on point in this one. I mean, it literally carried the rpiside itself and really helped set the mood/action. The actual content of the ending was pretty unique as well since neither of our major hero's played the OP role of "saving the day" but rather all the other hereos arrived in thr nick of time. I really enjoyed the show for what it was even with the presentation style ragging it along at times. The characters were all unique (hopefully, we see more of the rest of thd students snd hereos in S2) and the music was excellent and clearly the best aspect of the show, for me anyway.

They should've made the villains scene the last scene before the ending, would've made it much stronger.

opm x mha is the crossover that needs to happen
We'll have to wait until Midoriya reaches All Might in his prime level before he has a fair shot against Saitama.
As for Genos, Bakugou has to do a fusion dance with Iida.

Don't worry, horikoshi cares for his secondary characters, we'll see lots of them and a lot of growth in the arcs coming.

A lot of MHA arcs aren't really even about Deku. He's just there, putting his nose in other people's business, because he just happened to be there at the time, or because he cares, or both. Like Mad Max!

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
For those wondering if there's any changes from the first 21 chapters to the anime, not really. The only ones I noticed were the removal of cultural references, like the first chapter having silhouettes of Superman, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Kamen Rider, Ultraman, and Devilman, and the third chapter of having silhouettes of Mario characters

That was a fun season closer but goddamn, Deku is still such a crybaby who tears up at everything

This is not aimed directly at you but since I read this comment often I must ask. Why is it wrong for Deku to be emotional? Is it because he's a guy? It never bothered me since I guess I identify myself in Deku a little. I really don't think he cries too much.

I find this situation similar too the get in the robot Shinji thing.

A fine last ep, although second half was a little slow. I loved that gun hero, and his sharp shooting, that along with all the heroes entering at once with the music going was awesome.
I hope the second season gives us less school and more Villains situations.

I also hope they fix the uneven pacing.

Yea the instant water works do start to get a little annoying.

It's not that he cries, it's that he cries multiple times every episode. Any time they want to show him being emotional, he starts tearing up.

Also anime crying is super disgusting.

Anime tears are like gel I swear to god

But that whats makes them so good. It's even better with snot.

It's not that he cries, it's that he cries multiple times every episode. Any time they want to show him being emotional, he starts tearing up.

It's not that bad. Every moments he cries or get teary eyes is at least understandable no? like last episode, he was happy for All Might surviving so he had tears of joy.

I think if I were anime only I probably wouldnt jump into the manga right after this. They announced s2 afterall.

Overall this was a fun adaptation, could have done more to be creative or learned from at least World Trigger for enhancing clear places where the original writer overlooked some things, but otherwise was good.

Ill continue watching the dub and Ill probably 100% buy the anime once funi releases it. Dub has better writing and voices for most characters (cept for Todoroki).

He's just a really emotional little kid guys come on.

It's really part of his charm, and I think there should be more lead males that don't have to be ToughGuySupreme all the time. Fuck that noise if I was a protagonist I'd be weeping cuz shit is hard and crying helps.

But yeah Midoriya has successes and failures and is just a great strong emotional boy.

for the record, I love that the art for the manga is the same as the show. I had a hard time adjusting to attack on titans manga cause the art was straight up ugly

I'd also like to remind everyone many times Deku cries he tends to have one or several broken bones. That kinda hurts. That being said the tears dry up in S2 for the most part IIRC.

Because if someone cried that much in life or if someone was constantly super angry like that other dude you'd probably think there's something wrong with him. Do you know anyone who cries that often? If so, why do they cry that often?

Do you know anyone who has been in the kind of situations Deku has in real life? I don't get the complaint.

Crying is super obnoxious when there's no reason for it. There's a reason why people dislike it and the super angry guy because it's overbearing and awful. You can defend it if you want but you may want to think, "are they wrong? Why are they wrong?" and go from there.

Seems pretty normal to get emotional after getting severely hurt and being in those kinds of stressful situations

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

dawg if you think he just tears up for no reason i dunno what to say. sure he cries a lot but every time it's like "holy shit god damn something i literally thought was unachievable my entire life has happend", "holy shit god damn three of my limbs just exploded but I did the thing", "holy shit god damn a different set of limbs also exploded but my hero i've looked up to my entire life didn't die and neither did me and my entire class"

like damn man I tear up when my fave dude leaves a podcast like yo lay off the kid

Well, yeah, you can cry anytime. How come this makes the story better? How does this make the character better? Would Batman be better if he cried every time he got hurt?

Wouldn't it help showing All Might in his fragile state to let the new recruits know that:

A) There is a human side to him as well
B) He is not all-perfect and can be surpassed with hard work
C) From point B, he needs to be surpassed soon because his time is almost up

Right now he is viewed as a ceiling that can't be broken through.

I know Deku is next in line technically but I'm guessing it will be a while until he gets a full handle on his powers, as he pretty much rolls the dice in every situation while having good situational awareness and prep time.

is batman a 15 year old kid? also brucie could stand to tear up a little actually.

all might has a view on the idea of an infalliable natural-born hero who is the paragon of good, which is why he never-ever wants to admit weakness.

It'll also let the villains of the world know that the Symbol of Justice is a shadow of his former self, and they can now freely do whatever they want cause no one can stop them. That's the reason given anyway.

Being emotional =/= being whiny

Deku shows his emotions, but that doesn't mean he's whiny. And considering what he's going through its fair to expect him having teary eyes on multiple occasions

I understand this but the students looked at him in a way of "I'll never achieve his level of greatness". To me that's a de-motivator. Even Superman sometimes lost.

I'm saying only to the heroes, not media. Unless you are implying that someone in the school is a secret agent for the other side...

Lol using batman, cut it out dude. Deku is a 15 year old with destroyed limbs put on a life or death situation with his class, not a roided 100kg/10% fat, 30 yo, millionaire male vigilante.

well, the series doesn't really make a stand on whether he's right or not to take such a stance...

probably just pure information control. the facaulty seem to know in any case and the kids are still kids.
