I can't remember the name of this Movie/Cartoon/Song/etc.

There's a movie that I've been trying to find for years but have yet to find. When I was little, I had flipped the TV to one of the movie channels to watch the first Harry Potter I think, and the movie before that was still ending. In the ending of this movie, there is a military helicopter that's in the middle of a football(maybe) field. This guy is going out to war and his younger brother and possibly father say goodbye to him. After they go back to the seats, the helicopter begins to start, and at that moment the boy runs back out to the field, the dad yells at him to not go, and then all you hear is the sound of the propeller grinding and blood sprays on the crowd. IIRC, you hear the boy once more after that, saying in a sort of gurgling voice that he's okay. That movie scarred me when I was a child, and ever since then I've wanted to figure what movie it was. If anyone could help me out, I thank you greatly.

Okay can someone help me find this book. It's a children's book where a young boy is on a trip with his family at either a zoo/jungle and he loses his balloon. The whole story is a series of mishaps that has him being separated from his mother and father, attack by wild animals, and generally escaping death while chasing down his balloon. It has beautiful artwork and I think it's an American book. Anyone know what it's called?

Don't remember much about it but a comic my older cousin gave me back in the 90's. It was about cyborg beavers. I'm pretty sure they were beavers but it could be a mix with a wolf or something. Not sure if it was like a team of them or anything but I remember it wasn't very cartoon like and I think it was pretty badass.

Also, I'm trying to remember the title of a book about werewolves. It was at least 20 years ago. There was some awesome art. I think most of it was black and white and if I remember corectly , it was pretty realistic. It may have been a novel or short stories.

Thanks :)

I know the name of it.. But finding a copy of it seems nearly impossible.

Its a hilariously bad TV show that they used to show during my PE classes in elementary school called "Zardip: Search for Healthy Wellness". It was about an alien who comes down from outer space who has terrible manners and bad health choices. A group of teenagers teach him how to act properly and eat healthier.

I would love to find anyone who has knowledge of this and/or knows where to find SOME footage of it.

Here is the IMDB page for the series, along with a picture of Zardip himself:

I'm not even sure why this popped in my head but for some reason I need to know the name of this movie. It's about a guy, a drifter, who comes in to small town and gets a job at a car dealership. I believe he may have been a bank robber, not sure. This town also has some murders going on. He ends up having an affair with a married woman at some point.

I honestly don't even know if this is a movie or if I dreamed it. That or I'm putting together elements from two or three movies I've seen in the past.

Not the show you're looking for, but the show you need to watch: Banshee

Could that be the Breakfast Of Champions film? Read the book but heard the film was off the rails.

Found the movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099797/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

It was The Hot Spot with Don Johnson and Jennifer Connelly. I'm starting to think there weren't any murders but there could be!

Here's a scene from it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smDhC-GDHf0

Haha, that's actually on my list of shows to watch. Looks right up my alley.

It's not the movie I was looking for but I kind of want to check this out. Thanks.

I need some help trying to identify a movie.
I saw it many years ago but recently (due to a horror story) I started to think about it but I can't for the life of me remember the name and despite all the "clues" Google is not helping.

I don't remember the plot of the movie perfectly but I remember the protagonist (a girl) was a reporter/writer/photographer/I don't know and she was invited to this huge mansion where there's a masquerade going on. Everyone is wearing a costume so she can't see their faces.
She's wearing a short sleeveless white dress. Anyway, the host (can't remember if it's an old man or lady) tells everyone there are "golden eggs" hidden all over the place. If any of the guests finds them by midnight, they'll get a huge prize.
Here's where it gets fucked up because someone is dressed with a red hood (a la Scream) and starts killing people.

There's a huge clock in the middle of the living room and somehow, a girl gets her ass trapped (killer put her there) right under the pendulum and by every minute it swings lower and lower. People try to save the girl but they can't do anything, she's beheaded.

Then there's another scene in a different area of the house where a girl dressed like Cleopatra or some shit like that. She enters the room and finds an egg but someone shuts the door behind her and when she sees the killer she's like "I found one, yay" but then the killer takes a huge needle and starts to sew the shit out the Cleopatra girl alive. She eventually dies of course.

Can't remember how but most of the guests manage to scape but the main girl.
Several people already died and by the end of the movie she finds out the killer is actually another girl (a blond one) and she dies when the protagonist activates one of these things:
stock-footage-iron-grate-in-arched-entrance-to-caerphilly-castle-in-caerphilly-south-wales.jpg

squashing the killer girl.

It's a 90's movie, probably from the 80's so I'm not sure.
Hopefully someone knows what's the name of this movie.
for what it's worth, the VHS cover had a white skull with a black (or a really dark blue) background

There's this movie I remember watching as a kid. I remember some things but the name escapes me:

- It was about a dysfunctional family from what I could gather. The mother is having an affair and we find this out by some bathroom scene where the guy walks in to see her daughter sweeping the bathroom instead. The youngest kid smokes all the time. I think the daughter(who might be kirsten dunst I dunno) has sex on the train tracks. There's a diner scene where the father tells his friend his daughter is beautiful and gets it from her mother. I remember many fringe scenes like that mostly.

- It seemed like it might have been around 99-02 release wise. The movie itself could be a period piece.

-I think it was set in new york. A grimey version, at least.

Would appreciate any help with this.

I dont know what this is but it sounds incredibly similar to the plot of Empire Falls (which I know was turned into a mini-series on HBO)

I saw a movie that I believe was from 1995-2005. It was very Hitchcockian, and starred a British woman whose husband had died. It might have been a remake of a Hitchcock movie.

The actress was mixed race. I believe Stephen Dillane of GOT had a very small part. It deals with international travel and crime.

- I made a shiny new thread without seeing this one already existed. Sorry again :-/ -

I have personally three memories that keeps nagging at me without being able to put a name on them. It's very hazy memories... please note that these are hard ones, they resisted many google search over the years and hey, I'm half convinced now that part of them are constructs of youthful memories based on multiple things that don't really exists.
I would say all the memories take place during the late 80's / early 90's.

A/ TV Show
I remember watching a Twilight Zone episode, or some similar show. Several people are in a car journeying to who knows where. Then a new character appear, I suppose he is a hitchhiker. There is a very disturbing mood. The new character whisper something in the hear of one of the passenger and the guy begin to laugh uncontrollably. Then the hitchhiker or the laughing guy then whisper in the ear of another passenger and the same thing happen, and so on until everyone in the car is demented. There is a strong sense of the hitchhiker being the devil. That's all. Nothing else comes back to mind except that I found the thing quite unsatisfying to watch.
My most successful google search lead me to a famous episode of the Twilight Zone where communists (?) unleash an illness on America (?). Infected people become insane and when they say some particular phrase to other people they in turn become insane.
Interesting, fascinating like nearly every fucking episode of the Twilight Zone, but not really similar to my memories. The first difference being that the classic show is in b&w and my memories are in colors.

B/ Movie
This one is strange in its premise. A rented VHS that really looked like your typical urban sci-fi flick with teenagers, where aliens invades earth and adventure ensues. Except maybe 15 minutes in some old guy sits in a sofa and some alien behind him... sucks his brains out ? tentacle behind sofa ? That's my memory, but at the time I ejected the VHS like there was no tomorrow.
I'm nearly certain I recognize the cover from Invaders from Mars (1986), but can't find mention of the scene with the guy and the sofa.

C/ Movie
During the time where video rentals were stocking asiatic movies without a big concern for quality. I would say late 80's maximum. The Mad Mission (oh how I would like to re-watch thee) epoch.
There is a very dangerous mission, and the movie begin with an operative selection sequence, where we can see some sort of ID for each member and a commentary by the person in charge of selecting them. I only remember that the plot had indeed quite a death rate.
For the anecdote, I think it is the source of my boner each time a movie or comic book pulls a variation of this. Like when you see the hunter team first appear in Blade II or the same thing happen in the Deathlok comic book by Joe Casey. Surely some sort of power fantasy, I don't know, but operative selection or operative group appearance make me all fuzzy.

D/ Movie - FOUND IT ! - Dollman (1991)
Most intellectually offensive movie I ever saw, it nearly hurts remembering about it. Nothing was salvageable.
A sci-fi movie where a man, is it a cop, is miniaturized and when he shoot people with his gun they nearly explode.

Ok, there's this movie I remember seeing when I was young, and it gave me big time nightmares. All I can basically remember is that some guy gets killed by having his head shoved into a light?. Something like that. Honestly this was 20 years ago, so my memory isn't gonna remember much.

There's this movie that I never watched but I remember passing by it constantly in the video store. The cover was a picture of a guy with his mouth open with another guy walking out of his mouth. I think the guy walking out of his mouth was wearing sunglasses.

Two movies.

1. Japanese movie of a group of girls spending a day and the following night in Tokyo. All sorts of random stuff happens. Probably made in the latter half of the 90's.

2. American movie where a man spends one night in a big city, finds himself in stranger and stranger situations and gets into trouble. There was a crazy yellow-dressed girl. Made in the 80's.

There was this sci-fi movie, most likely the 80s, where this group of people are stranded somewhere and someone's mother gets killed. It then shows them around a campfire eating her remains and consoling the guy that his mother tastes good or somesuch.

I thought it might be Ice Pirates but I don't think that was it.

Maybe that's Bulworth, the Warren Beatty political film? I never saw it myself.

Removed since it was the first thing I found going back to Google. I was looking for the girl from tomorrow it seems.

Edit since I bumped it: Probably pre 1995, an animated show/movie with a baby left alone in his cradle when the parents goes out. The baby proceeds to smoke cigars and playing poker/cards. I don't think that it's the baby from Roger Rabbit, as I remember it as completely animated. Maybe it rings a bell for someone?

There was a cartoon movie, I believe, late 70's early 80's. It involved toys or maybe just a character was a toy. Maybe a stuffed bear. I seem to remember a rat being a character of the film. I think maybe the whole thing took place in a junk yard. It's been bugging me for years. Does anyone know?

EDIT - Shit, I completely forgot I posted in this thread. Double dumbass on me.

Any chance it's Bebe's Kids? I remember the baby was meant to be street smart or something and definitely would fit that sort of activity but maybe it didn't go as far as have him smoke cigars. Unless something like Cool World had a baby like that but it's also not completely animated so I figured that should be ruled out. Only two I could think of from around that time period that might feature a baby doing something like that.

Sounds like a Loony Toon.

I have one. A cartoon.

All I can remember is the end (somewhat). It takes place in someplace like monument canyon, where there are all these rock towers (with plateaus). And there is this character jumping from point to point on them.

There might of been a chase? Or a lot of the towers falling? It's all a bit hazy.

Just received a message about this one, and I remembered It was more of merry melodies type short. Something about a heartbroken cowboy jumping the canyons or something to that effect.

If anyone has leads on such a short, that would be wonderful

Was it from Looney Tunes? I remember one of them about this short mobster who pretends to be a baby. He appeared in a couple of shorts from what I remember,.

There's a book series a customer of mine cannot remember and I am curious if Book-GAF can help with this one.

  • Books are reportedly a trilogy of sci-fi novels from the early 1980s.
  • Humans go out and explore new worlds, riding on massive computers that are spacecraft. Spacecraft are controlled by human brains as a precautionary measure.
  • Spaceship Computers detect uninhabitable worlds and convert the cryogenic-stasis humans on board to be compatible with those environments and deposit them, armed to the teeth to take on any challenges that world may have.
  • The Robots/computers decide humans need to be wiped out, so a group of humans commandeers one of the large spaceships on a mission to shut down the Master Computer. The Master Computer is disabled only by gathering the seven(?) override keys held by the different colonies/variants of humanity.
  • The commandeered spacecraft is powered by the leader’s brain, who sacrifices himself to be able to control the ship for the group.

I don't really know more than this, like names or whatever. And some details might be incorrect. Any thoughts?

Probably a pretty easy one but I can't remember the name. It is a show about Spy Dogs. They start out as normal dogs but then go through these tubs and become human looking. The leader was a Golden Retriever that belonged to the president. There was also a doberman and a sheepdog. I think there was a team of five but I can't remember the other two.

Does anyone know the name of this cartoon.

I don't remember if it was a series, a movie, or just an episode. I saw it when I was very young.

All I remember is this boy gets sucked into a chalkboard and becomes a part of the chalk world, everything is drawn 2D and very squiggly, and ends up getting into a sword fight with anthropomorphized numbers.

I am trying to think of a manga that may have been a anime as well but I dunno. It seemed kinda cool but I lost track of it and now I can't remember much.

There was a girl walking somewhere (home maybe)? and she and a few other people see these weird fish flying through the air, and everyone who sees them develops superpowers right after but have a hard time controlling them. She gets the ability to phase through things and her dad? i think have magneto powers and there was one or two others.

I remember her dad was freaking out and made this big metal shell around himself out of cars and she phased into the center to calm him down so he didn't wreck the town but not much else. I don't think it's that old, definitely 2000+

DECK'ARD

The Amiga Brotherhood
Trying to remember an early 00's animated music video. It was made in a 8 or 16 bit style as a kind of side scroller, the graphics were blocky / pixelated but not unsophisticated and with a fairly high 'resolution' if you will. Setting was fairly simple, like moving through city streets. Electronic music probably. Can't even remember if I actually liked it, but I would love to see it again. I think it released around the time of Faithless' 'we come one' track (though could be anywhere from '01 to late '03 maybe).

It is not 'move your feet' by Junior Junior.

It is not either 'scratched' or 'am i wrong' by Etienne de Crecy.

(It is also not one of the songs in this thread: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=395385 )

It's been almost a month, so you might have already found out, but it sounds like it's Tokyo ESP. It started in 2010 and it did have an anime series last year.

Just heard a song on the iTunes Pure Pop radio station, but of course on the mobile app it doesn't keep track of the song history like in the desktop version of iTunes

I forget the title, but I think it had "Here" in it, something along the lines of "I Don't Want To Be Here" or "How Did I Get Here?" Woman singer, the only specific part I remember is her singing about being at a party and some guy not being able to hold his alcohol

Been searching for about an hour, I really liked this song

edit: Nevermind I totally found it, "Here" by Alessia Cara. And it turns out there is a way to see your song history on iOS, cool

Heard a song on the radio 30 minutes ago but I don't know what its called. It goes something like 'I lost myself in the cold but I'm still here, I found myself growing old but I'm still here', I tried Googling it but no matches showed up. Its not rap or rock, more of a popish indie sound like Gotye. Any help?
