End Game order for KH2 FM? I know there was a post earlier on in this thread about a great order to do the following:

Level Up
Mushroom XIII
Organization XIII
Journal Entries
etc.

but I foolishly forgot to bookmark it! Does anyone have a good order of operations for the all end game content (note: playing on Critical)? Pretty sure Lingering Will is dead last, right? :)

You can do it in the order you listed but you could max your drive form levels and summon levels first. Also once that is done you can finish collecting the puzzle pieces if you want.

Anyone else had the game crash on them at a really bad time? Game crashed after I had beaten data Axel and had almost beaten Zexion. And I was doing so well...

You're generally better off doing leveling up/synthesis/mushroom xiii fairly concurrently, as you're gonna need some Tranquil materials for a bunch of synthesis but it'll really help to be at max level to take on certain mushrooms (though, as with everything, they're technically all doable at level 1 - but a few mushrooms are all about the speed of reducing an HP bar).

Make a full set of Lucky Rings before doing basically anything else, though.

I've been trying to do mushroom 8 (the one you have to juggle) for four hours now. I got him to 84 hits once and haven't gone past 70 since :(

Master Form and Berserk Charge worked pretty well for me. Just have to hold the stick towards it while you're swinging away in midair. Took about 5-6 tries but seemed easily repeatable.

I'd like at least each world to be seamless.

The zones currently are way too small and its actually fairly annoying. :v

Going by the KH3 tech demo,I think(maybe) they'll focus on having tons of enemies on screen at once.

Kingdom Hearts Musou next?
It just makes too much sense after that 1000 Heartless battle in KH2.
It would also be the only game where we could basically play with every single character from the entire series.

I just want to play with all my KH waifus (Xion, Aqua, Kairi and Naminé).

This really needs to happen. Or at least give kh3 some variety and pull a re:coded. Have some worlds with completely different play styles. Imagine in the final or next to final world, after you have gathered the full crew, you begin an all out assault on MX. BAM! KH Musou.

They would probably need to make a game about the Great Keyblade War.

I just beat Armor of the Disco Master on the first try. I beat him the same way I beat Mysterious Figure.

This guy has really cool attacks, it's just a shame that these bosses are so crazy that you have to abuse Thunder Surge and Cartwheel and such to stand a chance.

Oh well, next up is No Heart then finishing up Ice Cream Beat and I'm done with BBS.

Holy shit. You can make 675 medals with Monstro in less than a minute. Getting to 9999 takes no time.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jpbiJL-d3U

Yeah, Falk shared that nuggest with us a few weeks ago. I've been using that tip to farm medals easily. Still, netting 2000 medals for beating No Heart in under 25 minutes is nice too, especially since it's quite easy to cheese him with Shotlocks and beat him in about 4. But Monstro is stress-free.

EDIT: nah, I take it back. No Heart is too unpredicatable for farming.

Anyway, that's Aqua's reports done. Kinda strange... to have done each character's report 100% and having the trophy for each, but not the Collector trophy. Was hoping it'll pop when the reports were completed, but I guess not. So much for this plat. Ah well.

EDIT: Hm, Trinity Archives at 100%. All on Critical. Feels good. Total Play Time: 106: 14: 33

Haven't sunk that much time in one game since Persona 4.

I think you could back up your system data/saves somewhere, wipe BBS completely from your hard drive, then bum rush through each story on beginner collecting all the stickers - it shouldn't take more than 90min per character really.

If you really really want the plat of course.

Does the BBS postgame level bug thingy happen to everybody no matter what?

It happens to Aqua no matter what (because the final episode is what gets the level boost), but if you don't load Terra or Ven's file after beating their stories until finishing the final episode, they'll be fine.

It's not a huge deal, but it does make it take a bit longer to grind out levels for her.

I've got a weird memory of the BBS Trinity Report trophies you've unlocked giving you Command Deck abilities right at the beginning of a new game (making later playthroughs marginally easier toward the beginning). Did I totally imagine that? Is DDD the only game in the series with anything remotely New Game Plus-ish? I could have sworn that Trinity Report trophies gave you something.

Only in the PSP version of Final Mix.

That seems a little extreme. Are you saying that just starting a new game isn't enough?

I dunno, I'm figuring if it's a trigger in the game data as opposed to saves (which is... honestly the only way I see it considering it involves states from all 3 characters and saves are specific to 1 character) it seems there is a good chance that the game data already has whatever flag saying "collected all stickers" for all 3 characters flipped, and for whatever reason the trophy didn't pop when the last flag was flipped.

Which means recollecting all stickers on that particular game data has some chance of not doing anything since the flags are already flipped to 'yes' right now, meaning the trophy might not pop depending on how the pop function is written.

I wouldn't know for sure, but logically speaking going with a completely clean slate seems a lot safer from a pure programming standpoint.

I wonder why that was removed for ReMix.

Hm. You might have a point. Or perhaps one of the Stickers "flags" didn't flip when collected due to some programming snafu: the game recognized it but the behind-the-scenes trophy programming didn't. In that case, collecting it again (who knows which one) could fix the issue and pop the trophy. Shame, I'm not really interested in replaying again so soon to find out. I'll leave it as something to do in a few months. I've got a playthrough of FFX-2 that's been stalled since II.5 ReMix dropped.

How do you get the mickey symbol to show up next to the unversed section in reports? it looks like I've encountered all of them in terra's story but its still missing

Have you met all the Mirage Arena(Iron Imprisoner 1-4+Mimic Master) and Unversed Mission ones? Also I think the most common normal unversed you can miss are Blobmob and Glidewinder.

edit: Also Prize Pod. You need to kill one before it escapes for it to count on journal.

I ended up watching all of Recoded...it's pretty bad and way too long. A 3 hour movie, and most of the dialogue is just bullshit friendship talk. The rest is Mickey and co pondering on what they should do, and then a KH1/CoM retread, but worse.

Pete and Maleficent manage to find their way into the Data world, and Mickey and co actually have a chance to erase them for good, but they Mickey decides that they should save them even though he's not a fan. Lol wut.

Once the KH1 retread is finished, you think the movie's about over. Data Sora loses his memories. OK, but then Data Riku finds a new world. However, Mickey and his lazy-ass doesn't want to through it himself, so they try to get Data Sora back again even though he has no idea what's going on.

It's really bullshit how they expect Sora to do absolutely everything. And since Sora is so nice, he doesn't say no. The fuck, is he their slave?

Oh and I should note that Maleficent drops a story bomb randomly in one of the interim scenes. She mentions something called the Book of Prophecies which is an ancient book that has the ability to read the future before it happens. On top of that, it allows the user to create worlds and accompanying people, effectively making you a god if you own it. Dafuq.

Moving on, we find out the new world is Castle Oblivion. And this part is also super long.

I found it kind of hilarious how Data Roxas tries to coerce Sora into murdering the Data versions of his friends. "It's not like they have hearts or will know what's happening anyway, lol."

This is all a bunch of bullshit and lots of meandering to reach the point where the game wants to say that Sora needs to save the Days trio and the BBS trio. Also some philosophical stuff about hurt and memories and feelings and shit.

Kind of ends this collection on a sour note, lol. Ah well.

Edit: Also the fight scenes are bad. They're all really brief, everyone gets swatted like flies, and many of them just have Sora fighting with his stock KH1 animations, just with more dynamic camera angles. They could've spruced things up making him use more magic or different skills.

As Terra do I need to buy Giga Magic Receipe and Giga Attack Receipe for full journal completion? I don't think I do?

Nah, but if you have the stomache to 100% the Trinity Archives you'll need to have bought one of everything in the medal shop, including the useless tickets.

I can't be the only one who thinks Aqua is freaking hot...right?

Nah, she a tall drink of water or some such euphemism.

... she's supposed to be 18, right? Do we even know the ages of the main characters of BBS? Sora, Riku and Kairi had clearly defined ages stated in character profiles, but I don't think we've ever seen the same for TVA.

While we are on the .. erm .. subject.

I am fond Aqua's English voice. A couple of dry lines here and there and raw in spots, but the tone and cadence are quite unique and help set a personality well, I think.

Terra, on the other hand, has a ton of poor lines and a really generic voice. Eesh.

It helps that Aqua feels like a wholly new character (as does Master Xehanort), whereas Terra and Ventus and Vanitas are fairly obvious retreads of archetypes already seen elsewhere in the series. It's really no mistake that the final and secret chapters are framed around her; she's kinda the star of the game more than the other characters even without the extra content she gets to play through.

Biggest feels is when you open up Aqua's sticker book and it's all bubbles and flowers in an open field and shit and you realize she'll never have that carefree life. :(

Once they manage to get all of these assorted non-Sora protagonists back into the general status-quo of the universe in KH3 it's gonna be interesting to see how they handle it all going forward. I expect that the 'worlds' situation is gonna get changed up a good deal going forward, but we're gonna end up with a much more heavily populated KH universe.

Having watched the entire run of Arrow since I last played BBS, I thought her voice might be so familiar as to become a distraction, but that thankfully hasn't been the case.

Nope, though they're reasonably nice to have on hand.

Thought so!

That makes sense... think I'll go for them too through Monstro farming.

Terra down, Ventus and Aqua to go!

Finished Kingdom Hearts 2 tonight, I loved that game back when I first played it and I still love it so fucking much. It's just really damn fun. Onto BBS, which is also great.
I can't wait for Dream Drop Distance HD, even if the game is not all that.

275k for 2.5 in NPD. Pretty good.

Way higher than I was expecting. Considering 1.5 had pretty much the exact same number (I can just imagine vast majority of the sales are the fans who bought both collections) I expected it being PS3 exclusive in NA so damn late to fall somewhere around 170k ish.
