This is exactly the type of response he's probably talking about. Instead of being happy for Xbox fans your slating him and the release? And for what?
After coming from the PS4 last gen, I didn't feel any need to upgrade to the PS5 atm cus there's not very much to plahy, so why arnt you moaning about that? Especially when the big spiderman game is on PS4.
Personally, as a new xbox owner I'm extremely happy with the hundreds of games I can play on gamepass. I'm spoilt for choice.... Something that I've never had at a launch before.
But no.... He's very sad because the xbox is not a 'runaway' hit. You personaly know how he feels and personally know how many xboxs they sold, you personally know how many were manufacturerd and you've probably seen a ton left on the shelves /s
Man, you are so salty. So PS5 launched with a handful of first party games, only 2 of them being exclusive: Astro's Playroom and Demon's Souls. That's considered a lackluster launch, although those two games are both reviewed as being phenomenal. Still, only two "exclusives." Compare that to N64 which launched with literally 2 games: Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64. It's lame.
Or compare it to Xbox One, which did launch with a handful of exclusive games like Ryse, right? Crimson Dragon I think? Probably a Forza thrown in there. That had a solid launch lineup although they're all games that have been forgotten by now. Then as time ticked by, the amount of first party games ticked down smaller, and smaller, and smaller... Oh but Forza is great! Let's all act like racing games are our favorite now because that's all there is...
I'm no fanboy, man. I could go through the launches of all the Xboxes, and this is just from memory. Original Xbox was awesome at launch. Halo, Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee, Fuzion Frenzy and Azurik! Alright, Azurik was trash but it has a special place in my heart. Max Payne was out soon after launch and was the definitive version of that game, blew away the shitty PS2 version. I loved Xbox at that point. That coil game on Fuzion Frenzy, that was my shit! All those Sega games they picked up, Shenmue 2, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta. That was a hell of a console.
Xbox 360, King Kong and Kameo, right? The move to HD, it was glorious. I went to Target multiple times to play those demos, couldn't wait for it. Shortly after came Lost Odyssey, amazing exclusive RPG. How about Alan Wake?? Amazing.
Yet the further away we get away from the launch of every Xbox console, the first party offerings disappear. It's the opposite of the way Playstation goes, where their best games come at the end of a generation. Xbox traditionally gives us their best stuff early on, then it fizzles out. That's why during the 360 generation, I got a PS3 and started using that more and more until I finally turned away from Xbox entirely. I didn't leave them, they left me.
So for them to launch a console with
ZERO games is, I think, something that should be talked about. That's a dangerous move. Yeah, you can play all the old games you want with Gamepass. You could do that on your old console too. You could do that on your PC too if you wanted to. As a PS5 purchaser, I was given access to a library of most of the best PS4 games, something I would not have access to on the old console. There's more incentive. Where's the incentive to upgrade from the Xbox One X to the Xbox Series X? It doesn't even have a different interface to make it look like a new generation. Everything's the same, it just runs better, theoretically. Do you think the average consumer even understands the difference in the names of those two consoles?
Some things to think about. Peace and love.
