MS Store never take the money right away, only when shipping, even for preorders.
At least that's how it always worked with MS Store in France, I ordered many consoles and stuff and they only took the money on shipping date.

I don’t see what’s strange, you have this big monolith in the middle of your TV space that you see all the time, why not make it look a bit better?
It’s a drop in the ocean compared to the cost of a proper wall mount, holes and tubes in walls to pass cables, TV furniture etc.

I've actually never noticed the side panels of my SX get warm, I don't think this should cause any heating issues, as it leaves all the vent openings clear and even adds tiny little legs at the bottom so the heat dispersal from the bottom doesn't get trapped either. The design seems good.

The thing is, with Sony's approach they can kinda do both. They still sell special limited edition full consoles and it still makes some sort of sense as the white plates come swapped for the limited edition ones. Selling a regular Series X that just comes with a wrap on the box would actually add to the cost/price, as it's an extra product on the box.

Not a fan of how this looks. Seems tacky. Hopefully they design the next console with removable/customizable components; I wouldn't mind dropping $$ on a new outer casing for the system, or something along those lines.

The consoles I've had issues with in terms of cooling were the PS4 Pro and the Japanese launch Dreamcast, both systems were super loud too
