That's assuming you have a coordinated team, or you have a strong shield to simply run to the opposing base, pick up their flag, and move your hooves through the bottom ways of the map. It is that simple!EazyB said:As much as I love Snowbound... multi-flag simply work too well on it. It would be so awesome because the games would go so quickly! It takes less that 5 seconds for a person to move the flag from one base, over the top, and into the other base. And that's not even considering the fact that one-hit melees + shield doors = great fun. I hope Shishka is listening.
It doesn't take much coordination to make a 5 second flag run.Striker said:That's assuming you have a coordinated team, or you have a strong shield to simply run to the opposing base, pick up their flag, and move your hooves through the bottom ways of the map. It is that simple!
I suppose you find 1 Flag at Valhalla in 4v4 much more enticing.
OK. You've played these games. You've experienced this gametype against other players on your skill level. Gotcha!EazyB said:It doesn't take much coordination to make a 5 second flag run.
And anything on Valhalla has at least 5 times as much fun as anything on Snowbound.

Can someone provide me with an easy to follow, clear cut solution to fixing my NAT? I have a Linksys WRT54G router and a cable connection.
backflip10019 said:... are you serious? Every single game of Standoff that I play, there is always a shortage of BRs. There are what, 3 that spawn on each side in the beginning and take at least a minute or more to come back? That's way too few for a big map like Standoff (especially with a Warthog spawning each side and a laser in the middle). If you get killed in the beginning by some lucky Rocket shot or something, you're stuck waiting back at your base for a solid weapon to spawn. ARs are the most useless things on that map.
Valhalla, I'll agree with, there are lots of BRs in the bases. But what about when you (frequently) spawn out in the middle of the battlefield? No BRs to be found anywhere (except one in each cave, but half the time those aren't even there).

Big improvement over your last version. You've increased the spawn count, although I'd suggest you allocate them to teams (instead of being neutral) to be safe. Map feels abit bare outside in terms of weapons, Throw in some more BRs or ARS or duel wieldable weapons. Whatever feels better.UltimaPooh said:Alright Halo 3 GAF....
I PRESENT TO YOU!!!!!
Tiny Avalanche BETA
Lemme know what you think. It's pretty mcuh going to stay the same, I just need feed back on spawns, weapon respawns, certain placement of objects.
Difference rom the previous version: It's a little more wide open, which means you have more room to fight now. I also put in Assualt, CTF, and King of the Hill areas, that are very similar to the real avalanche. Anyway, lemme know what you think so I can do any finishing touches.
I'm also working on a new map called Halo Land.

Cocopjojo said:Some routers have an option for a DMZ. In that case, you'll want to see what IP address your 360 is getting assigned - when it's on, go to DHCP Client Table or Connected Devices or something like that and look for a blank name. If you have a lot of devices connected to your network, this may be a little difficult. Then, you just enter that IP address into the DMZ field and enable it. Then, restart your box. This is how I get around my NAT problems.
backflip10019 said:Thanks, guys, I'll have to check into this.
And Cocop/Juices, you can check which IP your box is assigned in router settings, correct?

I tip my hat to you Voc. Very well done as always.
Chinner said:Map could be made abit neater, and if you have the time I'd 100% suggest you look into interlocking. If you want, I could do half the map to show you what it looks like.
Holy shit, Voc.:lolCocopjojo said:Btw, did you guys notice the cover picture for the article?
Amazing picture.
Voc drew that... lol. It's amazing, IMO - the symbology and the drawing itself.
Just talked to him and he said he has a higher-res version. He's gonna post it later tonight when he gets off work.Domino Theory said:And Cocop/Voc, any way to get Voc's drawing in wallpaper size?![]()

I can't imagine making a decent map without interlocking. I haven't looked at you map yet but I'm positive that interlocking would make it loads better. Not only does it make the map look cleaner, it fills gaps that grenades can get caught in, things to interfere with player movement, and gives you a ton of flexibility.UltimaPooh said:I had no idea what interlocking is, until you told me to go look it up. I thought you meant just make the pieces look like they connected.
Anyway yeah I'll do interlocking. It'll take some time, and when I feel the motivation to give it a go again. I appreciate the feed back.
I'll try to add some more weapons, but i doubt I will be able to now that I am down to 1 dollar. I'll fix the spawns, etc.

Okay, this is crazy. Everything else about my Internet is fine but now my 'ICMP' has failed in the Test Xbox Live Connection screen. Anyone have any experience with this?Shake Appeal said:It is now taking twenty seconds to read or delete messages on XBL and I can't reach xbox.com. Is this just me, and if so, wtf? Grimm Fandango said:Ok wtf, don't the barriers in Snowbound block all grenades, explosions and bullets?
Someone threw a grenade at the barrier in the middle near the shotgun/sniper with me on the inside. And somehow it blew up the wall things, killing me. The grenade was totally thrown by the other team and the grenade stayed on the outside yet the explosion still came through...
Was this changed in an update or something?

I enjoy both, but doubles and 1v1 shouldn't have radar.Voltron64 said:It limits map movement and encourages camping.
I'll almost always switch the AR out for a brute shot if I already have a BR. I'll still replace it for a mauler, sword, or shotty if I plan to do close combat. The brute shot is great against vehicles though.Chinner said:I seriously heart the Brute Shot. People may say that the BR + Sniper combo is the best, or maybe even BR + Shotgun....but for me personally, its got to be the BR + Brute shot combo. Its like, awesome.
