There's a good amount of text, but most of it is inconsequential. I managed to work my way through both games completely with little problem. If you came across something, all you'd have to do is post here or PM someone like me.

Stafy 3 will be mine as soon as physically possible.

There were signs that explained things in Japanese (such as moves), but they also showed you what to do via drawings. Nothing I played in terms of just gameplay requires English writing.... however, you obviously won't get much of the story lol.
