Honestly, if you can stay in full character while winging it as someone feeds you lines that pretty god damn impressive anyway.
Well, they didn't include any shots from that angle :lol
No editing.
It's probably just for Brando's closeups.

The shot is mostly from Tom's backside. I believe this is the scene when Tom asks why he's being cut out, but I forget.
So what. Film is all smoke and mirrors. As long as the end performance is great, actors can do what every it takes to perform.
Is the guy even in movies where he doesn't play a pirate anymore anyway?
Fuck this guy, no one needs that kind of excess. Worse still is to feel entitled to it
"reportedly volatile behavior with his now ex-wife Amber Heard."
Talk about minimization of shitness
hmmmmmm
This is bullshit, he ad libs for Sparrow.

He improvs every single one of his lines over all five movies?

I don't know about every single line but his freewheeling performance style has been well documented ever since the first film. There's no way he's being fed lines.
Eh, delivery is all that counts anyway.
Those former business managers sure seem shady as fuck releasing all these completely defamatory stories to the press.
Dennis Hopper used a teleprompter in his later years. ¯\_(ツ_/¯
I don't have a single issue with this, especially if he has physical or mental disabilities now.
I was talking about acting in general, not Depp's recent work (yikes!). But using an earpiece is ok if it works for some actors.
TMG says Depp's sense of entitlement is "clear and epic," as evidenced by his recent interview with The Wall Street Journal in which he said, It's my money. If I want to buy 15,000 cotton balls a day, it's my thing."
Was thinking the same thing. I have heard of more than a few actors that do this. This is a lot more common than people think

Robert Duval gave an interview where he said that Brando read almost all of his lines from a sign off-set in 'The Garden Scene' one of the scenes with him and Michael early in the film. Never would have noticed it watching if you're not looking for it... You just think it's a quirk of his character:

Wouldn't that have been after Sonny was killed?
