Greg Miller (Kinda Funny) delays this weeks podcast by 4 days due to multiple expected Sony announcements

Fuck Greg Miller and fuck Jeff Grubb
The blame needs to be placed on the gaming companies.

Sony clearly saw the hype influencers try to create and they should have come out and said “we don’t plan to make any further announcements this week” …. It’s that simple. If it was done that way these BS influencers would not keep getting away with deceiving fans.

So what you're saying is that Sony's skirt is too short so it's in part to blame?

Dude, people make up shit every fucking week. If they were to come out and say "we don't plan to announce everything", they'd have to do that constantly or the moment they don't everybody goes "OMG THIS IS HAPPENING".

The truth is we need to stop giving attention to these people. Stop making threads about them, stop following them on Twitter. If not, be ready to piss out your butt.

Sony didn't make Grubb, Miller or Jake Baldino say those things

what Sony can do is stop giving them game codes, kits, previews, etc. That would teach them to not act like children

Blame this guy, blame that guy, blame anyone but yourself for getting caught up in the hype...

I understand the importance of calling out these "insiders" whenever they get things wrong, but people need to practice more discernment and self-control at a certain point.
Especially after multiple instances of being let down. Maybe wait and see if a rumor or leak is corroborated by one or more reliable sources, rather than immediately boarding the hype train.

No. That's the opposite of what they should do. Companies should not respond to rumors.

This. If Sony has to announce every week when they have no announcements to make, what do they do on the weeks they don't make that announcement? Everyone would immediately realize that they have something to announce.

Ugh, so fucking tiring. We don't need all these clout chasing journalists feeding us drips. Let the surprises be a surprise.

Either tell us what you heard or fuck off. Remember when we thought an announcement of an announcement was the worst thing? Turns out a tease of an announcement is even worse.

Greg 'Best Friends' Miller can eat shit.

I genuinely think these podcast influencer journalists need to take a break . I get that people are trying to make a living and that’s a serious thing….but the hard facts is video games just ain’t that exciting and hasn’t been for a while…..they are trying to deliver news, hype and influence every single day or every single week…when in reality all you really have to talk about is what you played this week…some mild news….and then a shit ton of what ifs….please be hyped…who might buy who….what have you heard….how shit is X company now.

honestly, these peeps should just give up on twitter but they are so self absorbed and craving attention that they can’t…its fucked up and is completely taking away what this shit used to be about. Great games and hype moments when they mattered….not trying to create something every 48 hours.

Good thing is now you know they're exploiting your feelings, that's journalism 101.

If they were going to announce something at the close of financials like it was alluded to, that is still hours away from now.

Having looked at Sony's IR page, they don't appear to say anything about having a "silent period". Even if they do, there's nothing stopping them from announcing acquisitions during that silent period (assuming it doesn't pertain to FY3/22 results). As such, I'm not sure why people are assuming Sony must announce something by the end of today.

If they announced a deal to acquire, say, Konami, Konami's earnings wouldn't be retrospectively consolidated into Sony earnings and therefore they have no obligation to keep it hush once we pass the magical March 31st.

Its april fools dude. don't hold out hope for fake shit.

Represent.

Represent(ative) of bad opinions
again, nothing will happen. nothing ever does. even if the insiders were right, its clear by now Sony hates getting stuff leaked, so they will change plans/dates out of spite, essentially.
