Dark Souls Remastered |OT| Souls Remastered

its pretty much dark souls 1, from what I've seen the weapons, and mobs all look the same, I think the bosses also look the same.
Yeah no the developer was very creative/intelligent with what he does and throws you for a loop with the placements and
you can go into Sens right from square one
. Enough is the same that it allows experienced players like myself to start from scratch and speed run into areas newer players would never attempt owing to the difficulty. Once you do that, then you can build your character with what weapons/items you find in harder areas early game and it makes a unique playthrough. I liked it enough that I started recording my playthrough...ill update a link once it gets edited and uploads to You tube. It is fun to watch Lobos Jr. do the early areas I have already been to after the fact to see how an "expert" approaches the game and to see how I handled the same anomalies and sequence breaks...Im much more adventurous and like to try to break sequence as much as possible without killing bosses until I have exhausted the limits of where I can go first.

Isnt the mod for the old dark souls prepare to die version?
Yes maybe ill try there, I didtn realize there wasnt support for the remastered version yet...but I learned there will be soon. Thanks for your reply.

edit: apologies for the double post....but i dont think the prepare to die thread is going strong right now. I may consider starting a thread for the mod if no one else has....its really a good mod so far, and Lobos Jr. endorses the mod saying "especially the later areas were very well done". The developer mentions that he really wnated to improve some of the criticism the second half got and apparently he may have done a good job at doing so.

edit 2 - I liked enough to record my unique approach to any souls game that I do blind st the start, i.e. break sequence for a ehile whiel leaving bosses alive:

Any awesome players willing to help me with Ornstein and Smough tonight? I'm so frustrated. It's either a million invasions or I die to early. Extremely frustrating! Tips on gear? I'm wearing the robe from discharge and a level 3 lightning spear.... I'm getting owned constantly. This fight has always given me huge troubles

Help me!

Edit:. On PS4

Just started playing this on Switch, so much fun. On 360 I gave up at the dragon on the church roof.

Now after playing Bloodborne and Sekiro I find it much more manageable.

And I realised that I never understood blocking, that you can just hold L near the enemy, bait them to hit, take little or no damage, and get a safe opening to take a swing. Seems a bit easier now *facepalm*

I am now L21, but haven’t leveled my weapon at all. Should I? I think my best weapon is the club with the spiky ball in the end.

Looking back at that L21 message a couple of weeks back, makes me think “oh sweet summer child” as they say on some places in the internet.

I’m now L61, did all of Anor Londo this weekend. Soloing Ornstein & Smough took the best part of my Sunday, many a fuck were shouted. I can’t believe I actually did it. Took 20-30 tries, first dozen were just basically getting whacked three seconds before entering the room.

I can’t believe how big this game is, I thought Anor Londo would be the end but the game just opened up now. Crazy. Incredible to be able to play a game of this caliber on a handheld.

Was so damn close to beat Ornstein and Smough last night.... So damn close!

Some dude named "havels mom" kept invading and killing me. I couldn't hurt them at all it felt like. Just ruined my night lol.

If anyone is on ps4 and wants to/ can help me I'd appreciate it. I'm about level 60 I think.

This one part has nearly ruined the game for me.

Thought the Havel Moms and Dads were a thing of the past when Giant Dad started making it's rounds.

Best advice I can give you is to go offline when doing the fight. I would help but overdosed on Dark Souls 1 the last couple of years.
Probably will, any suggestions for a weapon to use? I'm using a +3 lightning spear. Not the best for the fight.

Literally hate this fight.

Just a quick thick question - for someone on PC with the prepare to die version, is it worth the upgrade?

I play STR characters and always use the Zweihander. Don't know what your stats are and whether you can use the Zweihander. But with this fight patience and position is the best. It's a fun fight but Fuck face and fat fuck got the best of me a few times. But there is a nice pair of tits for you ahead once you beat them.

I think my strength is a little low, I think I was doing a dex build. I played last night for the first time in like 2 months.

Maybe I should grind a few levels by where I beat ceaseless discharge.

Just got it for Switch. I keep putting stats into Endurance but every time I put anything on remotely heavy I fat roll.

I regret starting a pyro build. Stuck in depths. Sighhhhh

Pretty much lol. Love dat long bow!

Honestly I started as a mage, then pulled some more weapons in.
Nah man. Play the way you want. But focus your stats more on what type of build you want to use. Because stretching out your stats too thin can make a lot of things a lot more difficult than it has to be. I tend to use STR builds mostly. They are the most fun and the Zweihander is the only weapon you'll ever need.

In the og game on PS3 I used the fire sword you got from that one bosses soul. Loved it. Can't remember when I got it though...

Cool, thanks chaps. I'm getting a solid 60fps on my laptop at 1080p with a 1070gtx so it sounds like there's no need to upgrade. YouTube videos didn't look like much of an upgrade, I thought maybe there might be some quality of life improvements or something.

In Blightown? :p

I think in the remastered you can use multiple souls at a time. >.>

Got my furysword up to +3, going to try for max tonight. How the hell do you get to the bottom of sens castle? I can't find a way down that doesn't kill me. I want to go get those guys on the ground! I remember there being an illusion wall but no idea where or if it was actually real.

Any tips?

Walk off the walkway at this part, you'll take considerable fall damage and you must be prepared to fight some ranged guys.

Thanks, I'll check it out.

I also found out last night the giant knights in anor londo can be easily poisoned for an easy kill. Makes that area much easier.

GerAlt-Right. Ciriously.
Is there a save editor for the Remastered version? I am wanting to experiment with some different weapons. OFFLINE.

It's amazing how much of the game I forget. There is so much to do. Gotta get down underground, new London and the dukes archives, let alone the DLc and the painting... So much fun!

Made my way to the valley of the drakes... I literally have no recollection of it. Exciting!

It's funny cause valley of drakes is usually one of the first places I go. Been forever since I went through the regular way of Blighttown.

It's funny. I've been playing Dark Souls on and off ever since it first came out. Years! And you know what? I always get fucked over in the Depths with getting cursed + poison. Then I get lost and aaaaah.

I can literally do Blight Town easily. But the depths always manages to screw me. Anyone else with their most hated area?

Not really there, the depths wasn't too bad. Blight town was something else though...
