MJ is an integral part of Peter Parker’s life, she’s not an integral part of his exploits as Spider-Man.

Yeah, I think a lot of gamers want MJ to fuckoff being an integral part of the story and she should just be the hot girlfriend/wife of Peter Parker. There are literally hundreds of post in GAf just complaining how unattractive MJ is in SM2. And If Peter Parker had similar stealth missions where he couldn't use his powers there would be very little criticism comparably

As per about 3 full game walkthroughs on YouTube it’s about *10-11 hours and about one 1 hour is spent as MJ depending on player skill of course. And of course that’s also not counting slow walking as Peter, bike riding, the whole deaf girl mission, spider drones flying through AR hoops like Superman 64, spider drone bathroom stealth, and spider drone bee zapping
But I understand it’s easier to argue against a straw man than it is to argue against observable reality so don’t feel too bad

If we're being 100% honest, Sable was also ridiculously OP in the first game. Silver Sable is just a human and was able to get the drop on a superhuman who can sense danger (multiple times, mind you - does his spider-sense just not work on her for some reason?), and can easily kick his ass in a one-on-one boss battle in the DLC:
This fight was ridiculous on Ultimate difficulty btw, she can literally one-shot kill Spider-Man lmao
But hey, you're right about one thing - that kind of bullshit undoubtedly laid the groundwork for Spider-Man 2's silliness.

Hm. Okay. I think you’re coming at it from the wrong perspective perhaps. People say that because she is quite unattractive and it’s curious because in the first game she wasn’t this way and the game clearly does have numerous political agendas so it makes people kind of see a correlation
Have you see Harry’s facial model? Peters? Mr negatives? What I think you’ll find is all the male facial models look extraordinarily like their game counter parts. Have you seen MJs facial model? Curiously her in game counter part looks nothing alike. She looks uglier simply put. And she’s the only one of the main cast to have this be the case. So people notice this kind of thing and call insomniac out.
I dunno man the whole “people just wanna jerk off the pixels” thing I keep seeing feels like something a suburb mom would say in like 2009. I think it’s outdated. I think it’s silly. I think the issue is a bit different

One of the worst aspects of the game. Easily. The game would have been better without them and that's the criteria you need to use to decide if they have a place or not.
There are better ways to empower women like having Black cat involved.

- Biking to deliver a photo
- Walking around the foundation doing minigames
- Walking around coney island and doing minigames

That's true for all female characters in these games. Black Cat could have single handedly defeated both Venom and Kraven.
This is why I enjoyed Miles's game better. Game was shorter, so it had less filler bullshit.

Criticize MJ segments all they want. Those are subjective thoughts, and I don't mind them at all.
They are in the minority, as clearly almost all the critics and users disagree with them (as evident by the critics and user scores I shared above), but they are still entitled to their subjective opinions.
But you can clearly see that these racists are talking about the game being "woke" in a thread that's about criticism of MJ's gameplay segments. So they shouldn't be racist in this thread if they don't want to be accused as racists.
