Underrated gem from the PS360 era. You fight against the Nazis and blow up their infrastructure. It's plays like a GTA where you run around the open world, liberating areas from the Germans by blowing shit up. Has a pretty cool visual flair, where occupied areas are in black and white, and when you liberate them, they get back the color. Would love a sequel, or even a remaster.
That game had the best DLC ever.

For me, that would be Unreal 2 The Awakening. That was one of my first Pc games ever and I've played through it at least 3 times.

I don't know how well this game was received back then but it seems that everyone has forgotten about it, at least I have never heard anything about it again for a very long time.

I played Unreal 2 back in the day. It was a bit of a disappointment, compared to original. But I still enjoyed playing it.
It had great graphics for the time. And they put real effort into creating a story and characters, at a time when most FPS just sent the player some place to kill everything and little more.

games from a previous gen, that are offline and not getting a remake or a remaster in the near future and without an announced sequel. you can choose.

Can we chill with the troll answers like we get it…”haha i answered with recent exclusive game, me le epic troll and brave and original” thats not the spirit of this thread. Jesus fucking christ. Its like some of you cant stock slurping your favorite brands dicks for even a second.

Anyway, another answer of mine would be singularity. Another raven software game. Its a very good fps with an interesting story and time rewinding/forwarding mechanics. Sadly activision put it out to die

Another good time based fps was timeshift, which came out very early in the 360’s life

Dark Souls ancestors. One of the best games in history.

I could go on for pages, but I'm kind hearted and I'll spare you guys.

Yeah, pretty good story here.

This was the 1st PS+ game i played. Back on the PS3 when the PS+ gave u access to a" instant game collection" of 10 or so games, I used my 30 days free trial to download this and Dragons Dogma: D.A.
Played Remember me for a day and unistalled it, it was mediocre, and spent the entire time of the free trial playing Dragon Dogma, which was enough to beat it and still kept playing it after i beat it. It was that good.

More than forgotten games, i miss a forgotten genre that went by "Graphic adventure" usually point & click games. Phantasmagoria and Gabriel Knight was some of the IPs i wish to see coming back.

I thought I was the only person who remembered that game lol. Would absolutely love another one (or at least a game that used time in a similar way, there's really a surprising lack of games with time powers or games that use time as a mechanic)

Also with Singularity I'm really hoping the Activision purchase allows Microsoft to make it backwards compatible, would love to play it but don't want to drag out my 360 just to play it

The Sonic Advance games often get left out of discussions when people talk about good Sonic games, all 3 are solid entries that could do with a collection release at minimum

I know the $60 price point did this game no favors on PC, but it's a god damn shame how hard gamers rejected this game already. It's easily the best game I've played in 2023, and it's a fucking masterpiece of a game if you enjoy roguelikes or even just a terrific sci-fi story and vibe. Not even mentioning the sublime 3rd person shooter mechanics, which are already in the all-time pantheon with the best ever done.

Play this game you idiots.

the N-Gage as a whole qualifies as well here I think.

like Ashen for example.

or the N-Gage's graphics showcase

it also had an exclusive conversion of
Red Faction

and an exclusive Elder Scrolls game,
The Elder Scrolls Travels: Shadowkey

I was the weird guy with the Ngage holding his phone sideways. But it was a great little thing. I didn't even know Red Faction existed for it. Sadly, most of the games stuttered or ran relatively slowly.

I too had one. Loved that thing.

emulating mega drive on the go, having THPS on a handheld...
it was kinda magic back in 2003, when the only other relevant handheld on the market was the GBA.

I also played Pandemonium for the first time on the N-Gage, it was a decent port

Except for Bug Island (I've never played it), all of the above games are fantastic. Amped is a straight up masterpiece and the others are all definitely worth playing and better than they were given credit for.

Escape from Bug Island arrived in the mail the other day, excited to try it out, it's been on my radar ever since the Wii launched, just never got around to playing it.

Maybe this is actually a good place to ask but does anyone remember a PC game from yesteryear in which you'd take on aspects/traits from enemies you kill? It was a third person shooter with platforming and RPG mechanics if I call correctly. A similar visual style to something like Sacrifice (I think) where your main character looks like/is an alien himself. Evolve something? It's been bugging me for ages.

Well there you go... proof that Bing is trash! (or that my description of the game is ass lol).

But nah it was an oldie that came out during the early 2000s if I recall correctly.

both from the wonderful Shiny

I've never played Messiah, but Sacrifice is one of my favorite games ever released. I wouldn't call it so much of a forgotten game, but simply a game that most people never heard about unless they were subscribed to PC Gamer.

Sacrifice is in a genre of its own, and had one of the most incredible magic systems to this date. It also has Tim Curry.

The death of this IP is criminal. RIP Shiny.

I had the revised model that allowed you to use it normally and get this, allowed you to put in a different game without turning it off and removing the back cover

Awful to play of course

The main problem with the game is when every area is liberated the game shows how ugly It Is from the technical side.

When It starts in black and white the game looks way better.

Two solid sports games that I liked but can't seem to find anyone who has actually played them.

Trade games are a genre of games that seems to have been relegated to a few random indie releases once in a while. Where you have a small city and build it up by trading and producing goods. Patrician III is the best one of the bunch, and while it had its glory days back in the day, it's a franchise and sub-genre I miss. That said, trade games are pretty big on mobile. But who gives a shit about mobile.
