Didn't it have a warning in the manual that it could cause injury if it fell on a child?
It did! Amazing. I still have the launch console with the manual and checked this a while back. Don't think I've ever had a console with that warning before or after. But the Xbox looked huge indeed beside my tiny Dreamcast.

best looking? it actually may be the ugliest console of all time.

So much of its exterior aesthetic isn't even functional, it's huge but doesn't convey that its expensive, rather highlighted a lot of cheap plastic. It didn't even use the led on the console to light up the xbox logo on top.

the sliding door PS3 probably the only other close equal, at least was small and cheap.

i always liked the xbox 360E for its simple and no fuss look, much the same reason why i love the look of the series x and hate the look of the ps5.

theres nothing worse than "GAMER!!11!" asthetic

The OG Xbox and Xbox One are two of the ugliest consoles ever made.

Luckily the surface team that are on the job now make some of the best looking consoles ever made.

I mean,it was a big black box with an X on the top.......most certainly an XBOX,lol........but I always found the thing pretty ugly tbh.

I voted Xbox One X, it's super clean looking, but I also really love how the series x looks, it just looks smart.

But one X and series X would be my choices.

One x is the best xbox. By a long shot.

One X just looks like a Sony design. It's a PS2 without the ridges.

I like the Series X much better. Because it's too tall to fit upright under my TV and too ugly to have sideways (that permanent circular stand on the left side is defintely not meant to be seen) I have mine facing outwards, so I can gaze into the green-tinted dust-catching holes and bathe in the warm electronic aroma from the fan.

I've got nostalgia for the original, but even though I never owned it, the one x was the best looking console Microsoft ever released.

I miss consoles looking fun. The modern media box look is so boring. I don’t need to pretend that games are sophisticated. They are toys. That’s fine.

I remember seeing radios like this when I was a kid:

I think that is what draws me to the Xbox Series S.
We still have same thing in our family weekend house, it is beautiful piece, timeless if I may. You could swap that frequency tune "display" with some lcd/oled and it could be sold as luxury item today, without any changes.

It's nostalgia and a popularity contest going by the 360 votes. It's beautiful to me cause I remember waiting in line for that sweet box and being blown away by Halo but setting that aside, the Xbox One S, Series S, and Series X are the sexiest 3.

Bought it on launch with Halo CE PGR and DOA3 and yeah looking back that shit was wild. Including the Duke.

ATM Series S/X.

The obvious answer is the white Xbox One S, such a huge step up from the VCR Xbox One. I've always preferred my consoles in white/grey, so I also like the launch Xbox 360.

This picture is not complete without the matching power brick. All that size and an external power brick. The worst console design of the modern era. The launch Xbone.

Still. Bought it with MGSV when recovering from a surgery so it holds a special place. But god it's not easy on the eyes.

Let's not mention the brick ever again please

I’d forgotten about that! Given that it was meant to be left running all day and night for TV, TV, TV, they must have been super paranoid about it not overheating like the 360 did. My power brick made a constant high whining noise from its fan.

All Xbox consoles are ugly. My favorite design was One X. Sadly I had to change for Series X in order to have more 60fps games.

I'm a big fan of sleek and basic looking designs, and honestly the Xbox Series S and X look really nice in that regard. Aside from that I think I really dug the 360 Slim.

I voted for Series S.
I don't have one, but I like the it's classic modern look.

Series X though - I like the design, but not as much. However - I love the internal layout of how it works. Very well thought out and honestly, that's one of the reason that really intrigued me buying that HW.

X1X is also nice, but looks too much like stacked rectangular design of PS2.
OG Xbox is unique, but the size and design just reeked "yankee" sense in a way.
Xbox 360 - still too "yankee". 360 Slim (1st one) was more streamlined and I liked it better... but it was too glossy for my taste. 2nd Slim, felt a bit cheap with rounded corners.
Xbox One - to boxy. Slim (?) one is one of the nicer looking one, but not as much as XSS for me.

For me it's pretty close between the One X and the Series X.
But overall probably the One X as I like the Horizontal design better

I really liked the original xbox one vcr console, I'm quite old so I prefer understated, quiet and for it to blend in with other equipment which it did.
