A game on sale for 70 dollars charting at #5 clearly shows the market is here for it though, lmao.TLOU 1 Remake did well, but NOWHERE near as well as some people here hoped for.Like many of us has been saying for a long ass time, this remake was utterly unecessary.
PC will be the to decide if this game's sales will be underwhelming or not. Guess we will see.
Yeah, it's doing roughly Saint's Row numbers so far, maybe slightly below that. Not great, not terrible.TLOU 1 Remake did well, but NOWHERE near as well as some people here hoped for.Like many of us has been saying for a long ass time, this remake was utterly unecessary.
Yours first point holds no ground, as 10 dollars wouldn't make up the difference for what seems to be a very significant drop in sales compared to the original and the second game. And I doubt this game was a budget title.A game on sale for 70 dollars charting at #5 clearly shows the market is here for it though, lmao.
It's also not just PC. This game will be the go-to game for the TV show once it debuts. Sony is counting on that as well.
It’s behind only to all the multiplatform sports games and second to Splatoon 3 that is the fastest selling on a console that sold 120 million copies. It’s a mature game on a platform that’s still facing stock issues. At a premium price. A remake that “no one needed and was overpriced”. There’s nothing to decide. The market bought it.TLOU 1 Remake did well, but NOWHERE near as well as some people here hoped for.Like many of us has been saying for a long ass time, this remake was utterly unecessary.

Is that quote legit?satya nadella:“With our Xbox Series S and X consoles, we have taken share globally for two quarters in a row and we are the market leader this quarter among the next-gen consoles in the United States, Canada, UK, and Western Europe.”
Why would a 3rd release of a game sell the same as the original release? The game wasn't cheap but it also wasn't nearly as expensive as all AAA out there. It had no new motion capture, no facial mocap, no new lines recorded, no new level design, nothing. It was basically a better looking TLOU game from the PS3 era with PS4/PS5 visuals and some TLOU2 mechanics included.Yours first point holds no ground, as 10 dollars wouldn't make up the difference for what seems to be a very significant drop in sales compared to the original and the second game. Now your second point has merits. I guess we will see if the show will have the impact Sony wants.
Saints Row was released on all platforms and their corresponding mothers. You’re better at posting porn.Yeah, it's doing roughly Saint's Row numbers so far, maybe slightly below that. Not great, not terrible.
He knew he had that one quarter for the entire gen to say that quote and he did. I'd do the same tbh.Is that quote legit?
Yeah, the Spider-Man games charting is interesting. Its clear sony has been undervaluing the ps5 based on the price increase globally. People are still paying reseller prices for them.
And spider-man and miles morales despite being on ps plus extra is still selling like crazy, even before Miles PC release. They are gonna cross 40 before the end of the year
I expected some to try to downplay TLoU part 1 spot, lol. It’s behind only to all the multiplatform sports games and second to Splatoon 3 that is the fastest selling on a console that sold 120 million copies. PS5 is already at what, 30 million units? Doubt that would have been an impediment for THE marquee Sony franchise. It’s behind only to all the multiplatform sports games and second to Splatoon 3 that is the fastest selling on a console that sold 120 million copies. It wouldn't, but then that begs the question: Why was this necessary? It still needs to be profitable, and so far it doesn't seem to be the case. And Sony, or no other company in fact, wants to just recoup the costs. It wants to significantly profit. Assuming it has to sell 3 million units at full price to recoup, these kind of expensive projects needs to sell at least double that to make financial sense.(just am example)Why would a 3rd release of a game sell the same as the original release? Let's not pretend Sony won't recoup the costs for this with a couple millions sold lol.
So we agree...good.It wouldn't, but then that begs the question: Why was this necessary? It still needs to be profitable, and so far it doesn't seem to be the case. And while I do think it will eventually reach that, even with the gigantic damage that the second game did, its not like Sony did all that, spend money and time that could have been funelled into a third game or a new IP, just to make a bit of money, especially when the original game is readily available on the PS5.
But the ones who are triple dipping are a bunch of fools
Obviously? No company makes a game in the hopes that it bombs lolSo we agree...good.
Anyway...Factions, TV show, probably with multiple seasons...this will probably end up selling more with the remake than the original PS3 release in the end. The idea that games need to sell every unit on day one to be a hit needs to be over. This remake is a long term plan for Sony and it's obvious.
Fixed that for you. Most awarded game in videogame history, revered by every developer in the planet. You’re coming off as insecure and wishing the title fails to accommodate your fragility. Get a grip, man.gigantic damage that the second game did to me
Alrighty then....PS5 is already at what, 30 million units? Doubt that would have been an impediment for THE marquee Sony franchise.
And Splatoon outsold it without digital, which should represent half of the game's sales. And if the Nintendo games had its digital sales represented there, it would probably have been behind Mario Kart too.
Plus, like I said to the other user, 10 dollars don't offset the drop in overall sales. Sony isn't here to lose money. Everything, and not just the US, points to the fact that TLOU 1 Remake first month sales was MUCH decreased from the original and the second game.
Sony is probably counting on the PC version and the show to regain some of the lost faith on the franchise that TLOU 2 burned to a crisp. Guess we will see.
TLOU 2 is one of the most hated games in history, by fans and youtube reviewers that are not beheld on giving out good scores just so they are not blacklisted.Fixed that for you. It's all in your head mateTLOU 2 is one of the most hated games in history, by fans and youtube reviewers that are not beheld on giving out good scores just so they are not blacklisted.
TLOU 2 greatly damaged the franchise reputation, and that's just a fact. There isn't greater proof than sales numbers, and TLOU 2 selling slower than the first one(and at a lower price) and now the TLOU 1 Remake doing "okay" are further proof of that.
Are you Sony?
It was also a complete turd of a game, previews and reviews show as much. You can find the TLOU sales impressive, I simply disagree.Saints Row was released on all platforms and their corresponding mothers. You’re better at posting porn.
Forget those idiots. Some of them are extremely fanboyish who think anything Nintendo does is gold and everything else don't even compare. Too blind and exaggerate everything. But someone here told me that the PS5 had no chance at all at being on top in September due to Splatoon 3 and the bundles.
No wonder Jim is taking the piss with the pricing. Shit won't stop selling
Man gran turismo and Horizon did great throughout the year. I'm glad npd doesn't count bundles. If it did! fuck sake
Sure it is. TLOU 1 Remake doing just okay instead of great is also just on my head too, I weager? It's all in your head mate
Some were of the narrative that it wasn't going to sell at all for SEVENTY DOLLHAIRS!It was also a complete turd of a game, previews and reviews show as much. You can find the TLOU sales impressive, I simply disagree.
We don't know that yet. Seems like Sony is prepping this game to potentially capitalize on the HBO show's success should it happen. Expect to see bundles and deals around the show launch.TLOU 1 Remake did well, but NOWHERE near as well as some people here hoped for.Like many of us has been saying for a long ass time, this remake was utterly unecessary.

oh you mean its on one console that has sold what again?Sure it is. TLOU 1 Remake doing just okay instead of great is also just on my head too, I weager?
Yeah. Like I said, the PC Version and the show is what will make the game's sales numbers really shine. We will see.We don't know that yet. Seems like Sony is prepping this game to potentially capitalize on the HBO show's success should it happen. Expect to see bundles and deals around the show launch.
And you, do you have the numbers to share, to be so confident to say its doing as well as Sony wanted?oh you mean its on one console that has sold what again?
did you expect every PS5 owner to buy it?
Also, do you have the sales numbers on hand to share since you're so confident?
You did not address any of my questions, i never made any assumptions about sales and expectations like you did.And you, do you have the numbers to share, to be so confident to say its doing as well as Sony wanted?
Because every single sign(US, UK and Japan charts) points to the fact that the game is doing okay, but far below previous entries
As we assured you before with our plans to bring select titles to PC, our efforts beyond console in no way diminish our commitment to the PlayStation community, nor our passion to keep making amazing single-player, narrative-driven experiences. It’s been a tremendous year for games on PS5 and PS4, with huge releases including HorizonForbidden West, Gran Turismo 7, MLB The Show 22, and on November 9th, the highly anticipated God of War: Ragnarök. PlayStation VR2 is also on the horizon, and promises a huge leap forward in presence and immersion, bolstered by best-in-class software like Horizon: Call of the Mountain. We’re proud of our releases on PC as well, with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and the upcoming Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection giving gamers without PlayStation hardware a taste of our amazing library of first-party titles.
I just always find the "we winning" mentality odd when it comes to sport teams or brands the people aren't even a part of. No offense meant, just something I don't get, maybe I don't have the level of brand devotion others have. Why yes, in fact my name is Sonny. Sonny Jim.
It was also a complete turd of a game, previews and reviews show as much. You can find the TLOU sales impressive, I simply disagree.
lol at ‘some’ people still trying to downplay TLOU1 charting at number 5 behind brand new games and multiplatform sports titles, as a 70 dollar game.
The game was never meant to set charts on fires, sony barely did any marketing for it, it got no big SoP, no ads or commercials, no additional marketing tie ins anywhere outside of the firefly bundles, etc. it was treated about the same way Sony treats their pc ports. It got announced and released within the span of two months.
Here is Hermen Hulst head of Playstation studios talking about all the upcoming big releases last summer, notice anything missing?
He even mentioned the PC Ports as significant releases. The fact is Sony can put out a remake of a game, with no big push for people to buy it and it will still be one of the best selling games of the month. Thats brand power
The salt of The Last of Us franchise is only going to get worse for some of you next year after the tv show and Factions. It’s probably gonna fuck around and win a couple emmys on top of it
When they insisted The Last Of Us remake wouldn't sell.

I mean I didn't buy it. Because It thought I wasn't necessary and I'm pretty sure loads of people did the same. If was a new game lolSure it is. TLOU 1 Remake doing just okay instead of great is also just on my head too, I weager?
It makes me really want to go back through my posts and start calling out some of these nimrods. Just so I can watch them move the chains...again.
First it was, OMG IT ONLY CHARTED AS #1 IN THE UK AND ONLY DID HALF OF SAINTS ROW!
What other excuses will they pull from their asses now?

Unless you're a stock holder than I can see why you'd have stake in them doing well.
