Trust, with the cliff hanger they put out, its unlikely he will hate his father, they will just find some way where he MUST do it for the sake of the world, the realms, his son or some shit lol Thats at least how i feel about it.
Rarely do they say some shit like that and its to be taken literal, its like they want to tell you what will happen, but it will likely be in a way that is explainable later on or something, like Atreus is tricked by Loki or taken over by him or Kratoes purposely gives up his life or jumps in from of Atreus so he is killed instead or some shit so we are like "ohhhhhhh dats what that meant" lol
If anyone follows MMA, its like the last UFC event, if a fucking genie told you who would win, you'd be like "WTF? How can BOTH Khamzat and Nate win though?, maybe a draw, I better ask it 1 more question before I put my life savings into this bet....what do they win by"

With the creative freedom Sony gives, they would 100% ok that and never look back lol The Last Of Us literally moves more units and they had no issue with Part 2. Sony seems to be more ok with this then most publishers and with that world, he can return in many forms or just be a spirt that speaks to Atreus thru statues like the rest of the dead gods or something.

True, but I see this as a sales thing from a business perspective.
If their best selling game in history, after 1 title they are ok with that......sir they are 100% game to allow the same fate for Kratoes. Maybe even more cause how many titles we already got with him. Many excuses to bring him back and Sony doesn't seem to hold on to characters like that compared to other publishers, they seem to give a level of freedom where its up to the team. So if it does happen, for all you know we get some side game where he is just fighting and having sex games with Valkyries in Valhalla lol

Don't jinx it dude, nobody want little shit to substitute kratos, the difference in charisma is night and day and santa monica should have wizard writers to let me like LS more than kratos in a single game...And to think they only showed us the Kratos bits in the trailer, he's gonna die in the Thor battle. Atreus will take over as lead for the rest of the game

That line is a bit stupid because what people adore the fucking god of war? Normal people should hate him to begin with, odin is the father of all gods, of course he gets love from normal people even if literally every character we met in gow2018 hate his guts...
I think he was at least loved and respected by soldiers and men of war when he was the actual god of war doing god of war things (even if it was a brief time period)

They aren’t going to kill Kratos. Kratos is mostly an angry old man at this point looking forward to his retirement, and he’s had his revenge. But the IP is too big to end and Kratos is God of War, they can’t do some TLOU thing here. I assume once he’s killed all gods in all myths on earth history they’ll just go into space and let him kill some space gods or something, or we’ll get a reboot of the first game, or the whole saga, or they’ll introduce some parallell universe thing so we can do it all again or he can fight himself.
I’m mostly in love with the gameplay. For me it’s a 3D metroidvania in it’s level structure and how you progress, can’t go wrong with that.

They won't end God Of War, his son merely will be the next "God Of War" and they'd just reference Kratoes or he'd speak thru him as a spirt or something. I mean, consider the IP, consider how many times he has died. Him dying is more of a given at this point and he wouldn't really even be "dead" how we know death to be. He'd be in Valhalla giving his son advice thru statues on being a God. So I say, let the story arc complete, they had a great run with Kratoes and i'd like to see the story continue with his son as the new god of war for a bit. The character just can't be bigger then the whole world, the IP can't just live and die with Kratoes, the world is so amazing, it can live on without him being the main chararacter as its called God Of War, not "Kratoes", he killed a God Of War, as in one existed before him, let it continue that way imho
I love the structure too as the metroidvana, Zelda like world format works well with this.

First of all it's literally called "story trailer".
Second of all, there's quite a bit of in game scenes. And in all of them we see new game mechanics that weren't present on the previous entry...but go off. At least Sony is actually releasing games this year.

God of War was the best game of Sony on PS4 and it looks like this one could also be their best game on PS5.
Probably based on a mechanism to beat Thor. I feel like they have shown too much though.

God of War is a long going serie, TLOU was just one successful game when they did the big thing. I don’t see how the IPs are comparable at all.
