Bruh pretty sure they aim for realistic clothing. Do you see much detail in your own clothes? Well I don't. Remastered version looks like it enchances the details similar to what sharpness does on TVs. If you think that looks better well, sucks to be you
Uh, yeah of course I see detail on my own clothes. I can see imperfections of the fabric, where it’s been weaved etc.

If ya can’t see that, you need an eyesight test you clown. If it was realistic clothing, why remove finer detail? Y’know, like that tear in the jacket or snow on it?

They portrayed imperfections of clothes etc in Spider-Man remastered, so why should a “remake” of a game remastered on PS4 that was originally a PS3 title have less detail?

Like I said though, otherwise I do see improvements to graphic’s overall. If ya took Jim Ryan’s cock out ya throat, you might see the difference too.

Don't think you need to worry, I think druckmann said they could even better animate the facial expressions etc in this Part 1 from the mo-cap performances they did when first game was released. Unless the development of this game was outsourced to some other studio, I trust ND
It was. For the majority of the production, until ND wasnt happy with the result and took the wheel (it was reported with the leaks)

But that's not my point, 'cause I know that ND will check every cutscene to make sure they are as perfect as possible

Tho sometimes less is more, you know? The PS3 game had a more stylized look that may benefit some cutscenes

Don't think that it will look like an improvement 100% of the time. Sometimes it will just look different.

Looking forward to playing The Last of Us on PC! A great shame they decided the best route to go for the sequel was beating people over the head with perceived progressiveness that was largely interpreted as horrific pandering. I know people who enjoyed the first title and Left Behind who played TLOU2 and had the opinion of "the graphics are brilliant, the combat is graphic and punchy, but good lord the narrative is like a poorly done novella". In a way, it reminds me of the Twilight Zone reboot - it went from tones and messages to "the meteors were an excuse for men to be their true violent selves" (this is an actual episode).

Didn’t Sony bend talk about this in an article forever ago? Days gone 2 was rejected they started a last of us remake and then it was taken over by naughty dog?

Hilarious a few thought this would be coming to PS4, yea no shit we all know it can run on last-gen. But why the fuck would they bother spending extra time & money developing & optimizing for last-gen along with a PS5 & PC port? It was obvious a full blown remake would be current-gen only, they got more time to focus on the PS5 console as well.

So the $100 dollar edition comes with a voucher instead of a disc? Looking at the description on the site it says "Available via voucher code. Expires August 1st 2025". It doesn't clarify if this is for the game or something else. But it doesn't say disc anywhere. Unless I'm going blind.

Make sense why they made it PS5 exclusive to give people reasons to buy next-gen. Why its coming to PC tho I have no idea what sonys thinking there is

Some screencaps of trailer reactions from Sony's, Gamespot's, Gematsu's, and IGN's official pages. Seems like reception is a pretty mixed.

Whether that's down to it being a remake for TLOU 1, being $70, announcing a PC version at the same time or a mix of all three is open to interpretation. I'm sure Sony knows the risk of their strategy for PC and how that may be received, especially if it pertains to newer games Day 1. Could also be a case of some PS5 early adaptors feeling jaded if they feel games assumed to be PS exclusives coming to justify their purchases might be coming much sooner to PC, negating a major reason they purchased their console.

I guess at the end of the day, the money will tell the real story. For better or worst.

Yeah I can’t do it again. I haven’t even played the second one, I was really hoping the 2nd would come to the PlayStation five with duelsense support, 3-D audio… the whole 9 yards. But the first one I have played so many damn times now, I’m really surprised that it made its way back. Was hoping they would at least package it with something else or throw it on their game service thing.

Actually missed this on PS3 -- didn't own it, played a borrowed copy from a friend, and like many I loved it. Bought the remaster and loved it.
Definitely buying and very much looking forward to this remake or reimagining or whatever people want to call it.

As for PC availability, I think it remains a strong (at a minimum an understandable) model, to bring your exclusives to PC after a number of years driving sales and upping the value of your console. So happy for PC-only folks who get the definitive version of the game and now get to play one of the best narrative games... ever? Probably yeah.

Pretty sure its gonna sell good. Last of us remastered feels pretty dated even. Just some small gloss of Part 2 enchancements onto the remaster is gonna get people to buy the new product. Price is ridiculous high tho but thats nothing new

I actually totally feel this complaint; in fact, not long after my first playthrough in TLOU I played through Bioshock Infinite, which has a quite similar "forced exploration / scavenge" mechanic, just without the stealth elements... and it really drove me nuts. It greatly impacted my enjoyment of that game in a negative way. Something about the world of TLOU and the story made it much more forgivable. Felt more necessary and well-earned by the setting.

The game will sell well and it’ll be bundled either way.

i've seen nobody except bryank complain about the PC version. nobody cares. mixed reception is probably because they're doing a remake instead of a new game.

No PS4 version? Wack, it doesn't look THAT good, it could've worked out just like TLoU2 with two discs. Disappointed.

It's a bit more than just Bryank uneased with a PC version xD but you guys are most likely right. I just wanted to see what thoughts from people outside the forums were WRT the announcement.

And it looks like the Firefly version has already sold out according to remember_spinal remember_spinal 's post so that's a very good sign.

It's not just about graphics; fidelity, framerate, post-process effects, physics, enemy counts etc. were probably too much for PS4 to handle.

I bet the minimum specs for this on PC will be well beyond what a PS4 provides.

To make more money?

It looks great but did we really need a remake of the remaster? I guess you can’t blame them for milking the franchise now.

I cry about Xbox and hate PlayStation.
i... dont find it impressive tbh, im excited for remakes so far but im not impressed or feel excited for this one, there better be some major improvement on the gameplay.
