Wonder what the difference is between versions, if the Switch looks like that trailer then I think I’d buy a hard copy on Switch, doubt it can handle the lighting/draw distance though.

They specifically call out 4K with up to 60fps for next gen consoles, so I expect PS4/Xbox One/Switch versions to be 30fps with reduced lighting or whatever.

surprised no ray tracing options, seems like these games with their simplistic geometry would have been perfect for a global ray traced lighting system, especially with DLSS in.

I didn't know the Pricne of Persia Remake team did the upgrade
Did that abortion of a remake ever come out? Or is it put into a deep fire pit that it belongs in?

Smart move from Rockstar make your newer games awful so that people pine for the old ones, resell old ones umpteen times.

As other's have said, compared to Spyro and other great remasters this is pretty bad.

You know day 1 the controls will be fucked with limited options and these games will be full of bugs.

Also they won't have secured most of the licenses for the Vice City game.

It's a weird breakdown at the end Gamepass gets San Andreas, who would buy the thing for $80 then?

It's $80 CND! Oh thank you for my weekly laugh at the gaming industry R*!

Never played San Andreas, so this should be fun. I like the improvements. Was expecting something like this when they mentioned they were using UE4.

The Haitian thing in Vice City? Guaranteed. Pretty sure some of it got patched out in the PC version already.

Anyway... No wonder Rockstar started DMCA'ing a bunch of projects ahead of this. It looks like a mod, a pretty good one with decent contributors.

As a Haitian myself, this was interesting topic that I didn't think much of when I first played it. I was like whoa, they're actually speaking Haitian creole in the game 🤷🏾‍♂️

Why are people complaining about it being $60?

This is a collection of THE three legendary games that shot R* to the top in just a few years.

You get upgraded versions of three complete games!

Unless the gameplay is still early 2000s jank or that I'm missing something else, what is the problem?

They're cheap man. People will find ways to justify the fact that it's not worth $60 as with all other games. Let them wait for it to be PS+ or sub $20.

60 fps, visual enhancements. Plus I never played San Andreas. Easy one to pick up. BUT! I'm hearing it's on GP too?

Because people that don't understand how video games work were expecting to get all three games completely remade to the level of GTA V for $60.

They'll then point out games like Demon's Souls, which is fairly small, literally running on top of the old game, and $10 more. Or Spyro/Crash, neither of which were actually redesigned at all and combined had probably the same play time as SA alone. And if they DID get all 3 games they'd complain that each standalone remake was the price of a full game a la Mafia.

It's embarrassing, but not as embarrassing as the thread about the rampant censorship which doesn't actually exist yet and is probably about to age like milk. This all being said - if you think $60 is too much for this, fine, me too - but don't pretend it was ever going to cost less when actual work has been done to it. This isn't a port.

More than expected from Rockstar, but how is the gameplay? Needs to change for it to be worth it.

Also they butchered o mio babbino caro...

Still annoyed that I bought all 3 a few months ago when this wasn’t announced and now have no upgrade path to these new versions. Suppose that’s hindsight but I won’t be buying these for that reason. Greedy fucks. Looks like a good amount of effort and they’re great games but I’ve played them 15 years ago. Give me an upgrade path on PS store or it’s a no from me. Even on a deep sale.

People are cheap and unreasonable. Of fucking course a collection of THREE remastered games is $60. The rumor was that this would be $70, so no next gen tax is actually nice.

Unrelated but Series X optimized.

I was ready to hate on this but. . .that doesn't look that bad considering what they are working with. And yeah, 20 bucks for games this old is a bit of an eye opener. If you've never played the games this is a pretty good way to experience them.

. . .not for me though; played all of them at one point but never finished them and really don't have much interest in getting back to them. Games gonna sell regardless.

About what I was expecting really, nothing special but not too bad either. I think the quality of life improvements like modernised controls are what was most important really. I'm actually quite that they've kept the heavily stylised art direction of the original games.
Won't really need this when it launches but I'll imagine I'll buy it at some point in the future.
I would like to have seen them include the original top down games in the package too, they're still a lot of fun to play.

Either way, i hope this game will stop selling once it reach 10 millions or Rockstar will delay GTA6 to 2077.

Never played them, looks OK, will perhaps give a try when it will be at ~20€ on consoles and if they did not turned these games into an ERA certified bullshit.

With all the content removal and censorship... there is nothing "definitive" about this, even with a mod-like appearance package.

Such as?

C'mon deep, you're better than this. That thread is based on one throwaway line in a Gematsu article and literally nothing has been proven true yet. It's pearl clutching.
