I am getting so pumped for July. Hopefully we get a launch and the race is heating up. Both Branson and Bezos are supposed to go to space this month.

They are shooting for this month. I doubt they make the timeline but hopefully soon.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Things are getting really insane down there.

My favorite part of this photo is that one of the rockets has been spray painted by hand with it's number / designation. Everything about this project feels incredibly genuine like "we're just trying this shit out - we think it's gonna work". It feels closer to startup culture than it does to the cold, calculating, beaurocracy of Mercury and Apollo of the 60's and 70's. The fact that the goal of starship is to lower the per-kg launch price from thousands of dollars (Falcon 9) to $10 is absolutely nutty to me. Ten bucks per kg, no I didn't miss a zero. That'd be like if international airplane tickets went from $500 down to just $3 each.

This thing is absolutely history in the making, and it's exciting.

So the grid fins apparently won't fold on the booster. That's going to make for an interesting visual during launch. Should generate lots of contrails. I wonder what effect it has on MaxQ.
