So Sony did not give Jahtzee (Zero Punctuation) a review copy of Ratchet & Clank because they don't like his style.

Zero Punctuation is funny as heck and so is his response to the big man Sony. Geez, can't people laugh about anything anymore without it turning into an argument of who's right and who's wrong.
Who cares as long as you're having fun! Ha.

Seriously that guy makes me piss my pants. And at the same time his reviews are legitimately good too in my opinion.

Love me some Dunkey too. That Last Guardian review, oh my god. Stitches.

Why would George Lucas allow Family Guy to make fun of their Star Wars movies and why would Disney never allow that?

They're a private business. They can do what they want dude. Also, no one knows who the fuck this reviewer is. I guarantee Xbox does the same thing to other reviewers. You Xbox guys really acting like Microsoft is the god of gaming that can do no wrong and throw shade at Sony

Can't say that is out of the ordinary. PR folks many times will tell you why if you ask, sometimes if you don't. They ultimately aim for a particular target and get coverage from those that they can.
Read the whole thread bruh. You are way out of touch - this is not how the industry works, and is completely on Sony.

I'm sometimes sad I need to add these obvious sarcasm additions.

I mean, its their right not to send a code.

I dont necessarily agree, but it's their game and all. They are not obliged to give preference to ones they don't want to.

Probably one of the most-watched reviewers on the internet, huge influence in gaming.

For example, the term Glorious PC Master race was from his Witcher review.
These are actually false.

He is not a reviewer so he can’t br the most-watched reviewer on internet… at best he is the most watched parody show for games in the internet.

Glorious PC Master race term exists before the guy was born.

'Internet blogger didn't get free game' is definitely the kind of heartbreaking tragedy that puts the coronavirus in perspective. I just thank Yahtzee for sharing his struggle with the world, and I hope that he makes a video featuring a seemingly endless cascade of progressively less funny hyperbole that will thrill his preteen/manchild audience.

The fact that a young man can't wake up one morning and go 'yes, I am a reviewer now' and automatically receive free shit for life brings tears to my eyes.

Glorious PC Master race term exists before the guy was born.

In 2008, comedic writer Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw employed the comedically extreme term "Glorious PC Gaming Master Race" in a Zero Punctuation video-review for the role-playing game The Witcher for the online gaming magazine The Escapist.[6] Croshaw explained that his initial intent in referencing Nazi Germany's master race ideology when he coined the intense term 'Glorious PC Gaming Master Race' was to poke fun at an elitist attitude he perceived among some of the Witcher's PC playerbase at the time of The Witcher's release, who had complained about the PC release of the game being possibly negatively affected by the console port of the game:[7]

Origin

On January 23rd, 2008, online video game magazine The Escapist[2] published a review episode of the PC game The Witcher[1] as part of their review series “Zero Punctuation.”[3] In the video, the narrator quips how The Witcher's complex structure makes the gaming experience optimized for PC users so that “those dirty console playing peasants don’t ruin it for the glorious PC gaming master race.” Within six years, the episode gathered over 400 comments and 650 Facebook likes on the Escapist website.

The term "The Glorious PC Gaming Master Race" was used as an ironic expression to describe PC Gamers by game reviewer and comedic writer "Yahtzee" on a review for The Witcher.
