I guess the difference being I play games on consoles, which I talk about on this very forum. I don't go out of my way to defend a manufacturer.

Well, I'm going with xbox one x, glad they kept crossgen as this was the only game coming for awhile that would have motivated me to go for a ps5 or xboxsx (demon souls and returnal are neat, but remake and uggh rogue like aren't enough to make me want to deal with any crap to get one)

The S version is extremely good when played without RT. I couldn't compare directly, but it seemed to be rather identical tot the PS5 version with RT off, no load times and rock solid 60fps in my experience. If you are dying to play this game and can't find an X or 5, the Series S is a good alternative. It beats the last-gen versions to hell. Ofcourse those are good as well, but only at 1080p max and probably some long ass load times. No RT to check out either.

With RT its absolutely not unplayable (I also beat the demos with RT on S), but its a weird framerate. The question is if the trade off is worth it. The game looks also good outside of RT. I guess 1080p RT could bring the S to 60fps but Capcom opted not to. I wouldn't play this game at 30fps, so I'd rather see a res downgrade. Alas I'll buy the PS5 version, Pulse 3D and haptics are pretty good in this game. But if my PS5 wouldn't be here right now, I'd blindly buy it for S.

Ignoring the warriors, people just want to know where they should buy the game, that’s why these face-offs exist, or that’s the plan at least. PS5 fans claiming a win with worse performance or Xbox fans claiming a win with longer load times is console warring on the lowest level, it helps no one.

Wait a minute, you’ve actually nailed it here. With how hyped the ps5s life changing SSD was supposed to be, surely every face of should naturally go to the xbox as a win because the loading times are so close that all the hype cerny and sonys fans put behind the ssd hasn’t come into fruition.
I never even thought about that before.

the Xboxs off the shelf ssd is trading blows with sonys completely custom option in every face off so far. So naturally the Sony fans will agree that this a huge win for the Xbox right?

Let's be real, 99% of all analysis are regarding framerates, resolution and graphics and where XSX should have an easy win. All discussions are regarding teraflops in these type of threads and it will he always like that. There are barely any loading mentions in analysis.

probably when they will start take advantage of rdna2 features you will see...it ...just like you see the real difference in loading times mostly just in sony exclusives
