Lil Nas X's video "Holiday" ft. PS5

Lil Nas X just dropped a new song featuring the PS5. Eagle eyed viewers can first spot the console starting at 0:23 seconds. PS5 shows up many more times in the video, most notably being on a big screen in Times Square. Interesting how strategically it was released; while Fridays are typical for new song releases, this Friday is obviously special because it is literally the day after PS5's US launch. Sony are some marketing geniuses for this. So much fun.

Where to even start with this. The “genius” bit of the “marketing” is getting people like you who can’t see objectively the purpose following through on it i.e going into a forum and starting a thread about it like anybody is going to gove a fuck. You’re a pawn OP.

Yikes. And here I was thinking it was just a hilariously catchy music video featuring the PS5.

It's a shame most music nowdays consists of the talentless shit. Wheres the floyds? Led Zepplins? The Who's, People with genuine skill..? The worst thing is when kids walk around with this dump blaring out of phones next to mothers with toddlers whilst it's blurting out expletives

No wonder societys fucked, zero respect for anyone but their own vapid interests

I'm old.

I've wet myself. Nurse!

How'd we go from:

Raising hustlers, thieves and prostitutes Young homie, think before you shoot, murderer.

...to this?

Never heard of this person but holy shit after listening for the first few seconds I just quickly hit the dislike button and cleanse myself with this..

I have no dislike for him but he isn't gonna be around in 5 years. Being gay is normie as fuck and the song has no depth.

Still laughed at "I bottom on the low but I still top shit." though.

Don't why but I thought this was Nas when I entered the thread

This dude wants another viral meme song so badly. He knows he's borderline one hit wonder

I disagree. I thought that at first, but after several hits, it sounds like lots of people genuinely like him. So when you say he wants another viral song.....would you not want one either though? Kind of a moot point, why would he not want to be successful?

I'm sure he does, but I'm also sure he actually just wants to make music in general. So I don't think he sees himself as a one hit wonder, looking at that Youtube channel, the man is pushing out some massive views to really argue "one hit wonder".

Dr.Morris79 Dr.Morris79 Debatable. I don't know if I'd even go as far as to say "talentless" as what he is doing isn't a normal thing, its not something anyone can just do and I'm sure he actually worked hard on that song for it to even go viral and have folks signing it all over the country. Many things can be debated in terms of personal taste, but I feel going as far as saying someone is "talentless" simply because you personally don't like their music is maybe a bit too far and overdramatic. Like you don't really seem to get that not many can do what is being done.

"it's blurting out expletives"

Yea thats not really brand new though. To reach for some moral angle, might as well say we shouldn't listen to Elvis too.

Elvis? Pssshhh. Cant stand Elvis. I've noticed that people who do like Elvis are always a bit weirdly fanatical.. theres no middle ground with them.

Aye, I'm just being past my time when it comes to music. God luck to the kid.
