Looks fun actually. Obviously since it’s a year or so away, I’m not expecting “next gen” look. I’ve never made a game, but I’d think that shadows/lighting/graphical touches are kind of last to be added. Get the core game done first. Looks fun though

I wouldn't be worried, the graphics ARE better, i recently played RE7, the difference on Ethans model and indoor environments (and some effects like water) is huge, the art direction is very strong too but a striking difference from the warm tones of 7
The thing with this one, if we go by the leaks, is that RE8 started as low budget Revelations 3 and Capcom showed it in an early state, they are still optimising and changing the graphics.
I have 100% faith on this one, it will be an amazing game like 7 was

The warm tones are being saved for the castle. Like the title of "Village" in the first picture, it looks to be mixing both warm and cold. Try to give 7 an honest chance, it's honestly one of the best RE games in the franchise, it restored to RE it's tension, atmosphere and item mangment that's essential to the RE experience.
I'm a HUGE fan of RE5/6/Rev1/2 but honestly after replaying them plus 7 last year, 7 wins hands down.
Plus we just had 2 great 3rd person RE's in RE2R/RE3R.

Thats what i can't stand about RE7 haters, they only want third person games because its 'real' RE or some shit but don't count 2 and 3 released in a short time, or want another pure action game wich is fair except we got a bunch of those after 4 too but they hate the idea of a single sequel to 7 anyways.
Whats weird is the weak ass excuses they come up to shit on 7, Outlast clone, 'Westernized' 'lower quality', not 'real' Resident Evil, not as 'popular' (despite being one of the best selling ones and single best release)

Dead Aim was only first person when aiming. The game is 3rd person game and was fantastic by the way.

Yeah theres something about RE7 and now this, and Alyx that is instantly recognisable as a VR game and I can't quite put my finger on it. Muddy textured overly littered surfaces and the movement perhaps.

And RE4 breaks the formula altogether. Barely no scares, no puzzles. Baddies with machine guns..... Escort mission. Quick time events, no back tracking. Melee attacks. It feels nothing like RE.
Wish they remade Code Veronica and take out the small issues to make an awesome long True to the Re Formula game

Puzzles, creepy, Locks, Metroidvania backtracking. No waves of enemies. No suplex city Melee, No silly QTE’s, no escort machine, or machine gun enemies lmao,

7 was more true to the original gameplays.
Remake 1, 2, Code Veronica were nothing like 4.
Explain how 4 was like the originals.

No zombies. Or slow moving enemies
Enemies throwing objects at you
Waves of Enemies
Enemies with machine guns
Being able to Melee enemies and even suplex them lol

No metroidvania backtracking lol
No Puzzles lol

No save rooms.
Way more faster moving and action oriented.
Levels and stages
RE was all about puzzles, backtracking, being careful with ammo dealing with enemies
Everyone just gets offended and says RE4 was great. Cool but it broke away from the formula, not saying it wasn’t an amazing game.

I loved RE5. Was an awesome Coop game.
The only one I havent played is RE6, but I love them all.
I just perfer the classic formula, erry music, slow paced, backtracking, puzzles etc
Why I want a Code Veronica Remake, they just need to take out some of the problems and you have a long classic RE game. In the RE2/RE3 remake engine it would be awesome.
Just dont give me a MR X / Nemesis stalker please

I remember constantly bitching about RE5 when i was younger.
Endend up playing it for hundreds and hundreds of hours across various platforms, always with RE4 control scheme.
Definitely the most fun in the series for me. Hydra rules.
