Calm down he already corrected himself. I don't think we need to bring the admins in for this one.

No, I'm making a point. I was thread banned once by Bill because I QUOTED a reviewer and was asked to edit my previous statement. So now I'm expecting the same treatment, or at least a stern talk from an Admin.

If that classifies as fake news, then we got a ton of people that basically need to be banned already. Or do you only care when it comes to PS5?

Your true colors are showing.

All FUD should be taken care of. But to be honest I've seen alot more going against PlayStation than Xbox this time around in my opinion. Like people calling the PS5s cooling solution ineffective for example.

Then compare Game Pass to PS now where Game Pass has more subs and I guess you can compare PS+ to XBL Gold. Gold also gives you games so I guess with your definition it's a game sub service too? The streaming point is moot because with both PS now and Game Pass you can download games to play locally on your system. Well I guess you can stream PS3 games on PS4 and play 360 LOCALLY on Xbox so I'd still say the MS service is better.
PS+, PS Now, Gold, Gamepass (both normal and Ultimate), Amazon Prime, Apple Arcade, Google Play Pass, EA Play and more are all subscriptions that give you downloadable console games. So all these ones are (downloadable) game subscription services, so I think they can be compared even if they may include other extras.

PS Now, Game Pass Ultimate (not the normal Game Pass), Amazon Luna, Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now and maybe other ones I may forget are subscriptions that allow you to stream games, so they are game streaming subscription services, so I think they can be compared even if they may include other extras.

PS Now and Game Pass Ultimate are both (downloadable) game subscription and game streaming subscriptions, so I think they can be compared if you are comparing services that include both downloadable and streameable games, even if they may include other extras. But Game Pass Ultimate, not Game Pass. Because if you get the normal Gamepass for Xbox or PC you don't have game streaming, you only get the game downloading part. So this is why I include the normal Game pass in that group of services that have downloadable games but not streamable games.

Amazon Prime is NOT a competitor to Game Pass or PS now so I don't what point you are trying to make. Prime has movies and free shipping for Amazon stuff and neither Game Pass nor PS Now do that so I guess Amazon wins with your thought process?
GamePass, PS Now and Amazon Prime are subscription services that offer downloadable games, so they are competing. I had Amazon Prime mostly for the movies and series, but they started to include PC games so I got many of them from there. I got 3 months of Game Pass PC because I got subscribed to Discord, so now I'm playing PC games from here instead of games I got from the Amazon Prime or free in the Epic store.

It isn't my thought process: out of all the downloadable game subscription services, PS+ is the biggest one for console, Amazon Prime is the biggest one for PC and Apple Arcade is the biggest one for mobile. Out of the three, Amazon Prime is the one with the biggest amount of subscribers and revenue generated.

Regarding game streaming platforms, according to the numbers we have PS Now is the biggest one available for console and PC. And regarding consoles the only available as of today. Both xCloud for consoles and PS Now for mobile are still on the works, they announced to be working on it.

Too late for this gen. Maybe in a decade.

The original playstation had two controller updates: the Dual Analog, and then the the Dualshock, I bought all 3 of them for differing reasons (basically buying Japanese import games that supported different controllers and having to buy the supported controller, I also bought the JogCon packed in with Ridge Racer Type 4).

So MS can update their controller and should do, this is a big deal, especially for FPSs and racing games.

One of the perspectives you get from VR is how important peripherals are, so I'm really hoping PSVR 2 peripherals come with enhanced haptics and adaptive triggers.

And please God, an updated Aim controller with all this shit in. (anyone who's played Firewall Zero Hour with the Aim knows what I mean - when the Lord invented VR FPS games he intended them to be played with a dedicated gun controller, not two motion controllers that make your gun feel like a marzipan bum dildo).

I'm sure they are, and what are those exactly? The ones where I have both defended the PS5 and Xbox from FUD? Look through my post history, you can clearly see me stating the visual differences between both consoles will be minimal, that the PS5 is over 10 TFLOPs, that the PS5 is RDNA 2. I also defend the Xbox from tons of other things as well.

I made a simple mistake on a video, then corrected myself when pointed out my error. Or do I have to be perfectly in line with my praise on the PS5 on every small little thing, otherwise I am some sort of Xbox fanboy?

I own both consoles, have day 1 for both next-gen consoles, and have around 200 games on each. Just because I am not sucking at Sonys teat does't mean anything.

You seem to be operating under the impression that I have anything against you, which I don't. And your colors are still showing.

Microsoft already has patents for adaptive triggers.

So there's definitely a good chance that they can update the controller with these triggers if they feel that it's necessary to have.

Well those people are idiots. The PS5 obviously has a great cooling solution that has some seriously clever thinking behind it. But I've seen massive amounts of FUD thrown at both, from the PS5 not being RDNA 2, to the PS5 being overclocked, to the Xbox not being RDNA 2, or the Xbox BC is the true indicative of that consoles performance, or the Xbox is overheating.

The RDNA1 bandwidths are below, so ps5 will be in the 4TF/s league for L1. Different ball game, even if it takes a few cycles to ctross share, its >>>>>> memory.

Sharing all CU and L1 caches takes 4 mm2 on ps5 according to AMD silicon costs.

jOONlBg.png
Yes, around 4.5 TB/s of L1 cache bandwidth for PS5 and 3.7 TB/s for XSX based on clock frequencies.

Mother of GOD!!!

Not joking, and I might be missing something, but was that pop-in around 10sec, in the distance, same street he is swinging in but much farther up the road? From the moment he's on his peak and starts going down again, then in the distance.

Dealer gaming and Eastwood own both consoles.

R Ricky too, just saying. :messenger_heart:
Your point being? I have defended both consoles on this forum. I have things I like on both consoles, and things I dislike on both. If I had to choose a winner from this gen, then obviously the PS4, if I have to only choose one console on launch day, then at this point it is obviously the PS5.

looks like the reflection of the windows to me, hopefully someone can slow it down or something.

i don't think its pop in cos its moves frame left to right in a movement, some reflection error perhaps, light shinning off another building reflecting.

I always took the heat rumors with a grain of salt because the influencers don't have retail units. The same thing goes for any bugs or crashes with the hardware.

When it came to the software I don't think anyone was wrong with criticizing them for not showing XSX footage earlier.

As for the Xbox not being RDNA2 well neither of them match the PC version of RDNA2. Both systems have customizations that make them different from your standard RDNA2 cards.

You did seem to jump on that loading screen bit rather quickly. That's all i am saying.

That looks like the same Shadow pop-in I saw in another clip. But overall it's not bad at all. The worst they I've seen was Subnautica on the XSX but that's probably the developers fault.

If it is possible that it is there.

However I think it is a very critical moment and I also think it is a bug that can be fixed. I mean there are so many things showing that the respawn system failed, not the hardware itself.

Very hard to tell from the quality of the clip, but something to do with the windows, either the reflection in them changing or the detail of the reflection. The way it shifts up the building as his height changes may well indicate it's simply the reflection.

Haha, yeah but Subnautica was just ridiculous. Also different budget and size of developer of course.

Still weird that there are these types of pop-in, when you know the SSD is so fast.

yep i am trying to imagine what it is, i keep thinking it's another building perhaps reflecting with the sunlight on it that is being picked up by windows as spiderman moves quickly.

But then again i am an idiot with tech stuff so i go def be wrong lol. "lollipop_disappointed:

Is there a better video to check? I think it's shadows on a tree in the distance.

Just imagine the pop-in on a slower SSD. From what I've seen the PS5 has been doing a great job where streaming and loads are concerned. Any issues that it's having with it's I/O will be worse on slower I/O systems.

But I don't think it will be game breaking on either platform.

What I meant is, which part of the console could be to blame, since it won't be the SSD. Maybe the GPU due to the RT constraints?

That is not true. I have played several times to Dualshock 4 wireless with my MacBook Pro mid 2014. Only using the bluetooth from the laptop lol.
yeah, with DS4Windows or something similar....pre-2016 when Steam officially released their support-suite there was nothing official....and the bt solution is terrible from a latency and range standpoint.
