The new Battletoads is like the all female Ghostbusters remake. In the way that both constantly shit on their old fanbase and turns a cold villain into a girl that makes poopy jokes. Just like Ghostbusters!
Right because anyone that doesn't like the flash animation looking reboot has to be part of Sonygaf and not the people that played Battletoads on the nes/genesis. Metacritic is a reliable source of reviews as well yes.

imagine a game with a heavy reliance on shooting that has input lag like crazy and really bad aiming in general

only joke at the fanbase I noticed was when talks down to someone telling her what to wear because they hung out for a bit 20+ years ago.
I know humor is subjective but this is leaps and bounds better then a movie made up of improve stuff. I laughed out loud at some of the murder jokes in act 3.

Played it for a bit and yep, it's battletoads. Enjoyable button masher with some fun moves and animations and dialogue. I think the graphics look good, very unique aesthetic on consoles.
Anyone expecting anything groundbreaking...............did they ever play the original battletoads?

Finished it today. I loved it. The game is gorgeous and I thought it was hilarious. Few games have made me laugh out loud as much as this one. The 2 main villains are funny as hell. I also loved the variety of gameplay. Glad I took the time to check it out

I didn't say don't enjoy it nor did I say anybody shouldn't enjoy it.
If you're legitimately enjoying it and you're not sat here saying "but this game got this score" and "that game got that score" then what I said doesn't apply to you.
It's nonsense, by all accounts the game could have been better and dragging other similarly scored games into the discussion doesn't change that.

I'm often reminded how formulaic Microsoft is to this business. It's like, buy a studio, take a beloved franchise, and boom -- another classic. It's the George Steinbrenner model of gaming... spend whatever it takes. Problem is, there were more years than not that the Yankees didn't get a world series ring even in spite of Steinbrenner paying in penalties what other teams did for their entire ball club's salary.
If this shit were that easy, everyone would be doing it. But there is no amount of money that can replace the magic that comes from talent working in synergy. You couldn't buy the team that made the first Halo or Mario 64 or Goldeneye or Gran Turismo any more than you could get four guys, a couple of guitars and a set of drums and get a top ten record. I certainly don't want to dissuade Microsoft from bringing new content out from popular franchises, but more often than not the result is pretty mixed and honestly the money would be better spent elsewhere.

That feeling when you're blind to the people (w/ previous offenses) coming into this thread with the sole purpose to shit on this game. And I believe in terms of scoring, Days Gone would be right up it's alley. 72 is clearly a "stinker".
But if I'm not mistaken, there's plenty of people liking it in here. Just as there was for Days Gone. It's clearly a surprise hit with many. But if your eyes somehow deceive you, that's on you.

Ya started playing it with my son and it feels pretty great. Enjoyed SOR4 a lot but thought it’s a little overrated. So far this is starting out just as good. We’ll see if my opinion changes when I’m done. Then again Im also on the side that’s loving the art style

I didn't claim no one was talking about the game, I guess I can see the confusion, though... the idea behind my first post was simply that I looked into this thread for reactions and for some reason see "Days Gone suxorz LOL" Not saying no one was giving reactions it just felt like entering a thread for Flight Sim and people are talking about Last of Us II.
