This is a kids game, I just watched some of the dialogue in a couple reviews, you're probably a grown ass man. Some of you will try to defend anything if it has the XGS sticker on it. It was like people were trying to argue Crackdown 3 'is actually really fun'.

One of the main things I don’t like with GP is the “well it cost me very little so no biggie” routine I see a lot , Crackdown 3 was another one , more wasted potential, that could of been awesome that game and was pretty pissed off at how it turned out. I could name others but you get my point.

Played the first level so can't really say much (no mini games yet), but so far it has been fun. Speaking of combat, there is more variety to it than in Street of Rage 4. Humor is welcome and I'm definitely coming back even though brawlers are not exactly my favorite genre. Shame about the lack of online co-op. Also, you can shut it about it being a flash game. it is not.

I haven’t played Flight Simulator yet, but isn’t it essentially just flying a plane from point A to point B? I just can’t comprehend how that would be more fun than a something like Battletoads. I’m actually having fun with this game so far. It isn’t necessarily a kid’s game in the same sense as a Pokémon or Mario also.

i will let you in on a secret, everybody’s taste is different. People who like side scrolling beat em ups ain’t being serviced by flight sim or Forza. While they are both amazing games is it not ok to have something a little bit different?

Look you can enjoy it but your kid would enjoy it more, as that's who it's aimed at, not you. BTW I don't like Harry Potter or Toy Story as again, they're for a younger audience, not my cup of tea.

It's entirely their own fault though.

For every Flight Sim or Ori there's a half dozen disappointments and 'it's OK but...' games that clearly have not had the passion, vision and good management behind them that Sony and Nintendo games do.

The fact games like this are now just expected as 'Gamepass filler' also is not a good look for MS or their subscription service. It's all very well having a low barrier to entry, but if what you're offering is considered cheap because of its low quality, then the value quickly disappears.

Well to be fair I have higher expectations for a game that cost me €70 than a GamePass freebie.

I think the big problem here is the people who made this did not have the mindset of the actual fans of the games.

Really I think most people who wanted a new battle toads were thinking 2.5 d and more realistic ( but not totally realistic ) graphics with more diverse gameplay.. new gamplay additions like the nes game had.

Didn't Minecraft Dungeons also review with comments stating it had no online co-op and people got upset? Dunno when they patched it but i'm able to play it online co-op with friends no problem.

Gaf. It was mildly refreshing the early morning of the Hot Chips info drop when general fans were coming in the threads analyzing and speculating over things but then all the Sony super fans started pouring into the threads shitting them up.

Funny how i keep seeing PS fans claim that Xbox fans are so terrible yet they are just as bad if not worse in some cases.

I've put in a few hours into the game and i quite like it. The beat them up gameplay for whatever reason seems to have grabbed my attention more than Streets of Rage 4 it's faster in comparison I think. The screenshots can look offputting but in motion it looks great. I quite like the Cartoon Network show vibe the cutscenes have although i can see how that might not be to everyones liking.

I played the first three stages and its pretty damn hectic fun and most importantly, it controls really nice.
I think people that liked cuphead will like this a lot

You need to go back to the thread about it then were loads were saying it deserved a higher score. I haven’t played it yet so i cant comment. Battletoads i have played and the score sits about right, its not a bad game its fun but it ain’t the best either. I dont see why people see the score it got as a bad thing. Not every game is gonna hit above 90 and that doesn’t make it a really bad game because of that

It is for specific people who literally want to learn a lot about aviation. But mainly it uses a world map algorithm, and literally renders the map anywhere in the world you are flying. You can fly to any airport in the world big, small, commercial, non-commercial.

Thats the appeal, on top of it looking amazing. Usually FLight simulator is used as a benchmark for graphics because of the insane amount of detail needed to render the maps, and have tons of effects on.

It's similar to crytek engine in it's scalability.

I think the issue is we had another revival 3 months ago that was done very well in it's gameplay, music, animation and online functionality. Streets of rage 4 is the better package, even though this seems to be more edgy.

Although I played battletoads for a couple of hours only, I think I prefer it to streets of rage.
streets of rage I played some when it came out, I got bored after a while.
I like the quick controls of battletoads gameplay way more. that's why I mentioned cuphead.
I 'll play some more today

edit: also about music, animation and writing I think streets of rage is not the better game here, too, other than gameplay.
