Historical accounts are scare, but some do exist of viking women taking up arms.

Vikings women wouldn’t have gone raiding, but they would’ve wanted them to be strong and willing to fight, and as such had many legends involving women warriors. It’s similar to how odyssey having a female Mc definitely fit in more with myth than history
