If I'm not mistaken, someone mentioned something about them reaching out to him, but they wanted him to run a studio under THEM. Something along those lines.
I doubt he's keen to be under anyone's umbrella in the near future after the whole Konami ordeal.

Ps3 still outsold 360 with less time on the market. Microsoft best was still 3rd place.

Same time on the market, PS3 was manufactured for a year after 360 was discontinued, and we never got final 360 numbers. It’s a statistical tie, but whatever floats your boat.
It also doesn’t change the fact that users migrated from PS2 to 360.

Sony fanboys think people are attached to Sony the same way they are and conveniently ignore that the fact that gamers will switch console makers in a heartbeat for X or Y reason like they did with PS2 to 360 then with 360 to PS4.
Every gen is a new slate. So if they think Sony doesn't need to communicate because they were successful this gen, they're in for a PS3 like fail all over again.

we can see sony still had ps4 exclusives that going to be launch in april to june... this is probably one of reason why sony still silent about ps5..unlike xbox, they already fall behind current gen and indeed need to be aggresive to get upperhand as much as possible for next gen but for sony their ps4 still going strong.
ps5 announcement with ps4 backward compability surely will affect ps4 and those game sales..they probably didnt want 'cannabilize' their own platform
some people said sony is 'scared' but i think they actually rather 'relaxed' and going things on their own pace.
as for ms, they had nothing to lose for current xbox one, and it would be foolish if they didnt take the opportunity to gain much attention as they can.

They won't, worldwide Playstation is far more popular. The only places the Xbox could sell more is the US and UK, I can't see it though.
Sony don't need too rush, they are fully supporting the PS4 currently with some amazing games being released this year. With digital being much more popular now people won't want to leave the ecosystem they've invested in either, that will have a huge influence.

The Sony is "scared" or "nothing to show" was always just fanboy message board fodder. Non agenda gamers knew the the reason for their silence: PS4 games and hardware are still selling at a high rate. With at least three highly anticipated games on the horizon before the PS5 arrives.
I'm still trying to figure out this supposed "advantage" Microsoft has over Sony for revealing their nextgen plans first. Do a segment of gamers really believe that? Whenever the reveal drops, it will be covered ad nauseam by the gaming/world media, whether it's in the first half of year or not. In most cases, it's not when you reveal, but what you reveal that spurs public intrest.

Didn’t realize they forced Sony to start charging for PSN, I always thought that was something Sony decided to do on their own.
They also forced Sony to up their online game, so you should be saying God bless MIcrosoft for In game XMB, party chat, and cross game chat. All things that wouldn’t have happened had MS not forced their hand.

Maybe I see things a little differently. Microsoft has no choice but to come out and announce what they can to drum up excitement, and good on them, because the console looks awesome. They haven't had the best end games wise to this generation and that's okay, at least they knew they fucked up. But they're making up for it now.

I think the way Sony have treated this generation compared to last is the complete opposite. I think they've told their 1st party studios that have game releases in the last few years to knuckle down and prep for the PS5. They have enough studios to consistently bring out AAA games, and i think they will keep that extremely consistent when the PS5 drops. Consistency is Key, and Sony knows that.
They don't need to show all of their cards right away, because they are still selling millions of consoles and games. So why ruin the income that is going to make your next console even better?
I think this will be a closer fight, and that's good for all of us. I skipped the Xbox One after the 360, and I want a reason to pick up a series X. But that won't happen without games.
I'm afraid that Microsoft picked up these studios too late, these games take years to make, especially something that is the talking point for more than 3 months. They will hopefully still make amazing games, but I don't want them to release 3 to 4 years in the console life cycle, they need to be releasing 2 to 3 a year for the next 7 to 10 years.

Stop throwing around the word "ecosystem" like it's something deeper than it really is. As long as I have my PS4 I have all my games.
Btw in case you don't know, Xbox and PS4 are pretty much head to head in both USA and UK despite MS having the worst console reveal in history. They are most definitely outselling Sony next gen in both unless they go full retard like last time which isn't the case.

The PS3 came a year after the Xbox360, launched at $600, was difficult to code for and had no games until later. It still caught up with the Xbox360

The 360 is the only occasion where MS outsold Sony in the US and UK, so historically facts are against them doing it again with how well the PS4 and Playstation consoles in general have done and are more popular worldwide, not just in two countries. Lets not forget the 360 was released a year earlier and the PS3 have a massive starting price point that caused the difference, but over the course of that generation Sony caught up and finished strongly.
Ecosystems do make a difference, why would I move across to Xbox if I have over 400 PS4 games that I can play on my PS5 alongside fantastic exclusives and 1st party support from Sony. Look at how the current PS4 is being supported over the next few months, what are MS doing apart from selling Gamepass cheap as chips?

The difference is big even in US and UK.
It just not bigger than rest of the world.
In UK is around 3m that means about 50% more sales there.
In US it is around 5m that means about 25% more sales there.
There are no way head to head...
