I sometimes get really focused into stuff, and I kinda ignore other media, which often involves comics. Like when the new WoW xpack came out, I got so into that that I stopped keeping up with all on-goings and I stopped checking this thread, but when I quit the game, I started catching up with my backlog of comics and TV shows.

I've done that a couple of times since I started getting into comics back in 2008.

I typically end up rotating around. I'll get into a game and tv and movies fall by the wayside. Then TV and games and movies fall by the wayside. I'm in a TV mode atm.

We should start a ComicGAF podcast

Me, Freeza, Zombine,, LordOfLore, Tyrant and Aizo
Every 5 minutes would have me go "Hey, here's some news that just happened" like SGM posting a WIP tease of his batmobile:

Anyone picked up PanelxPanel #1 yet? I'm waiting until after the trip.

I wonder if he just keeps reloading all the comic news sites so he can post a link to new stories as they appear

It's not just comics though. He's got it all covered. He may very well have been bitten by a radioactive anchorman, and now he's got some sort of breaking news sense.
The benefits of working at a cinema: I have a lot of free time between showings where I just sit behind a counter. I also happen to follow good people and sites on twitter, am subscribed to a few newsletters and know enough people in the film and TV industry to know where to look.

Bleeding Cool actually tried to hire me a few months back. Johnston had apparently checked us out a few times after the CWII "leak" and noticed me+had seen me around on twitter. He wanted me to run some small daily articles on the stuff I found and usually posted here or created a thread. I asked how much I would be paid and he said he hadn't actually asked Avatar Press if they could hire a new guy yet. Turns out they didn't think they needed another one so that ends that story.

Picked up the Elmer Fudd Batman book instead of the Redneck Variant because what am I going to do with double books (I would have got the a cover as well obviously).

I try to read more books a week than I buy. I am getting through most of my single issues besides whatever series I need the first TPB for. September might be when I exclusively buy trades.

Haha oh man I completely forgot about that. He didn't have an account here so DM'd me to PM the guy that leaked it to warn him to watch his back because his leaked info was so accurate.

That's pretty dang cool. There's not a lot of people that are so good at internetting as an amateur that people ask them to do go pro.

So, is DC gonna like, rotate in twice monthly? I see Green Arrow is upping its schedule.

It's twice monthly already. I think the cover you showed just tells you when the new arc is starting. Though it does seem kind of unnecessary to put that "Twice monthly" thing in there since that's not new.

What does that mean though, it's already twice a month

Feels like advertising to new people post #25. It's like Marvel putting a #1 on Avengers rogue planet

Why would they put "begins in"? Dammit DC.

Got on Netflix finally for least the free month. Will be getting some stuff offline for my trip, particularly Strangers Things. Not sure about the Marvel stuff yet.

Am I the only one who is a bit disappointed about Slott ending the Parker Industries storyline?

I'm mixed. The fact that many were against Peter having corporate success in many fields of science saddens me. On the other hand, it's been a while since we've seen a small scale Spidey story. And the latter point infuriates me because it's like asking for the status quo to return and I absolutely do not want the status quo to come back. If you're gonna stick with an idea then make the best of it.

Peter could've been demoted to being a regular scientist in his company.
The Big Time Status Quo was fun. I don't think having Peter being a regular employee of Parker Industries would work. He very likely isn't going back to photography though.
A friend just told me that Marvel Legacy reminds him of DCyou.

I don't see it. DC You was DC trying to take the sentiment Marvel had with Marvel Now and the success of titles like Batgirl as a way to go after a non-traditional audience. Legacy is Marvel inspired by the sentiment of Rebirth and saying they're going to bring back stuff older fans liked in order to appeal to them while keeping the newer stuff.
