Couldn't decide if I wanted to go with the English or Japanese dub, then saw that Morgana has the same Japanese voice actor as Chopper from One Piece. Hell yeah

Anyone pre-ordered for Amazon to ship to Mexico? Because my copy ships on the 4th and is expected to arrive from the 17-20 ;_;

Same here. They'll probably update the expected arrival date when they ship the game (I know because something similar happened when I preordered Trails of Cold Steel).

I know I haven't played yet, but I can't help but find this dubious considering how badly they're mispronouncing some names & such...

Besides the pronunciation of a few names, I'd also say it's just as good as Persona 4's if not better, which is really surprising to me because I thought the English clips sounded like shit at first.

English dub being better than Persona 4 wouldn't surprise me at all. While Persona 4 (and Persona 3) had a good dub, there were a few obvious weak links as well. The entire main cast of Persona 5 seems very strong just from looking at their past roles. It even shares some overlap with Nier: Automata, which has a phenomenal dub.

Which time of day tho? Midnight or when the PS4 store updates? Because if it's the later i'll be furious lol.

yeah, really wish they would be clear on that... because i'll get the game on monday... if it release one midnight, i can wait, but more than that? Nope, it will be too hard to wait!

That's what did for me. The voice actors for the English dub are good but mispronouncing the names will eventually start to annoy me. The fact the alternative is a stellar Japanese cast makes the other option quite simple to choose.

My only worry is whether or not they've missed any important subtitle spots.

Simple exclamations during battle are easy to pickup, but anything more than that should be subtitled. Really hoping nothing was missed.

The emphasis on the Sa and Ka in Sakamomoto and Ta and Ka in Takamaki is quite annoying. Don't think it will bother people completely unfamiliar with Japanese tho.

This makes me want to stick to Dub, but....

This makes me want to try out the Japanese voices...

I've heard it's only battle banter that isn't subtitled. Also that the animated cutscenes have subtitles turned off by default.

There are certain scenes in the game where background NPCs in the crowd say things that are not subtitled (it's not important but those scenes may lose a bit of impact as a result). Also, when you go watch movies (in-game activity) they are not subtitled. These are just the things I noticed after playing for 10 hours.

I see. So background noise and side activities may not be supported. Might be worth considering English on the first run. I'm doing both either way but it's which dub to start off with on the first run.

Assuming EDGE's MC weight isn't too much to stop it, yeah.

A 5/5 from EZA would put it at 94.07 unweighted.

There's still a 7 from some magazine missing I guess, that will likely drop it below the 93,49 mark.

Perhaps a few 10s might help the game to stay at 94 though.

should I get a ps4 to play this ?

A PS3 is fine as it was the lead platform and the PS4 only offers 1080 instead of 720p. If you don't own a PS3 then get a PS4, there are other great games out now.

The biggest omission so far is TV news in cutscenes. Like, there's this scene of some characters having a prolonged discussion about the news on the TV, and the camera even focuses on the TV screen for several seconds, but what the newscaster actually says is not subtitled.
