CEO Darren Cross of @OfficialPymTech claims "astonishing" new venture to debut this week
That's a valid complaint to have, but most of the responses were along the lines of "this is gonna suck without Edgar Wright". From the reviews I've read, many of Edgar Wright's original ideas are still there.I suppose you could have a thread on people saying it was going to be 'Rotten' but a lot of people were interested in Wright's visual direction and we don't know if Peyton matched that.
That's fair. So we still need to get the other 2/3 pieces of the success puzzle before we serve the crow.

Alright then, I'll hold off on the crow for the time being. Thanks for the advice. You might want to give people a chance to watch it first so that they can possibly defend themselves as people still might not like it. Also just because the ideas are there doesn't mean the execution can match it.

At least some of the crows that I've been marinating will get some use.I would say you can go after people saying the movie would bomb or that it would be rotten though.
Isn't this Week 2 for Minions? Not doing shit until the BO numbers.
My only other question is...how is Corey Stoll as the villain?

What's with the RT obsession? You guys own Disney stock?
My favorite movie has a 62% on RT. Who cares?
It was like once a few months ago. Not sure what movie it was.
Really though I hate when people bring up RT scores. Mostly because I can't stand modern critics. Just reading their reviews makes me realize how much these people don't understand about basic film making techniques.
He's maybe the only minor complaint: not that memorable unfortunately. I mean he's not bad, but he's definitely one of the weaker links here.
Dammit. I was hoping that they would finally have a great villain.
But I enjoy my movies with some wine and a serving of crow on the side."crow serving" threads are quite annoying tbh and I can see the one for ant-man being especially stupid with wright-fuckery from both sides. can't we just enjoy the movie for what it is?

I haven't seen it, but a friend told me he's more Jeff Bridges Iron Monger-tier than he is Dark Elf or Whiplash-tier.
But, yeah, he's not Loki-tier.
So I'm going to post a review thread pretty soon, may wait for it to hit 65 reviews

Does the "after credits" scene in this movie after ALL the credits, or is it mid-credits scene after the shorter, fancier credits?
Or does it have both?
Sounds like the comparisons to Stane keeps up
Oh and eeeh [MCU spoiler]there's a Spider-man shout out!
So basically, you know more about film making than every modern critic out there.
What was Wright's look for the movie going to be exactly? Scott Pilgrim-esque?
Edgar Wright is pretty big on visual comedy.
Many suspect that the train scene in particular came from him.
There was? I must've missed it, where was it?
Ok, then what are your favourite movies? I'm guessing they're critically panned movies given the "usually" stance, right?Usually, the more critics hate a movie, the more likely it is that I'll enjoy it.
I get the impression though that you don't like RT scores because you don't know how to refute criticism or how to take it in stride when it clashes with your own views. That seems more likely than you knowing more about film than people whose job is critiquing them (unless you actually are a filmmaker or in the industry in which case forget this entire paragraph).
Have you not seen the NHL threads on going jokes about how I am always on set?
Falcon was talking about the different type of super heroes: "we got a guy with a hammer, a man in an iron suit and now a guy that can stick to walls"
How long after the movie ends should I be waiting in the theater for extra scenes?
Did you watch the test footage? What was Wright's look for the movie going to be exactly? Scott Pilgrim-esque?
Kaep, please return to set.

I'm aware, I was just curious if he was actually going to go for stuff like the visual onomatopoeia.
