What do you like about this?Pentiment
Thanks for asking. There are quite a few reasons actually:What do you like about this?
The no violence angle is fresh but it looked like a Flash browser game to me.
Hmm doesn’t sound bad at all. I’ll give it a spin. Thanks for asking. There are quite a few reasons actually:
- It's a Josh Sawyer passion project and he has made some of the best games ever.
- He studied history so this one will definitely have a touch of authenticity.
- From what I have read this seems to have a very ambitious storyline, capturing protagonists life through decades - ageing, personality change based on political and social climate around you, etc is stuff that pretty much never get explored in games.
- Disco Elysium was cited as an inspiration and loved everything about it.
- Obviously it is not some sort of graphical showcase, but I loved that it imitates the drawing from that time.
- Trailer doesn't really focus on that much, but it looks like it is going to be quite funny as well
So, yeah, I just want to get transported to medieval times and experience a rich, complicated story.
Don’t know his previous games though. Any big ones?
Damn, I forgot Sea of Stars. It looks so good. Also surprised someone else knows about Harold Halibut. Looks very unique with the stop motion.return to monkey island
phonopolis
wanted: dead
stalker 2
falling frontier
deceive, inc
gloomwood
harold halibut
bayonetta 3
last one is hard. system shock remake, re4 remake, live a live, or sea of stars. returnal PC version would be at the top of the list if/when it's confirmed
edit: ah damn, UFO 50 too
Couldn't find 2 more games, eh?in no order;
botw2
pokemon violet
hogwarts
diablo iv
overwatch 2
soul hackers 2
final fantasy vii rebirth
forza motorsport
that's it.
3 of those games aren't coming out anytime soon...good list otherwise1. Baldur's Gate 3 : Loved DOS1&2, and I play a lot of D&D 5e so a well crafted video game in that system is a dream come true.
2. Dragon Age 4 : Despite problems with 2 and Inquisition this is still the ongoing narrative series I'm most invested in. DA's world is fascinating, and the DA team with seemingly a bit more time to work on things than the last two entries gives me hope.
3. Zelda BOTW2 : Zelda is my favorite series full stop, and this is the first direct 3D sequel since Majora's Mask which is my favorite game of all time, so I'm excited.
4. Dragon's Dogma 2 : the combat in the first game is the best in any RPG, and there was so much untapped potential with the first that a sequel with proper time and budget has me salivating at the possibilities
5. A Plague Tale : Requiem : the first game was a huge surprise, and they look to get going all out in upping the stakes here
6. Starfield : Skyrim/Fallout in space is what I always wanted and expected of it, and the showcase gave me just that.
7. God of War Ragnarok : need some more angry dad simulator in my life
8. Avowed : Obsidian doing a high fantasy title in the vein of Skyrim is a dream game, the wait for this is going to be excruciating
9. Fumito Ueda's next game : Even with no idea of what it is, it deserves a mention here as Ueda has only ever made masterpieces, two of which are in my top 5 all time
10. Elder Scrolls 6 : Starfield is unlikely to fully scratch that TES itch being sci-fi rather than fantasy, so will have to wait another five or more years to get that Bethesda butt-scratcher
I only play games as myself, I’m a Man thus I do not like to play games that doesn’t give me the options to chooseWhat do you have against female protagonists?
I guess everyone has different view, for me I find playing as myself is boring, I'm myself all my life. In video games I like put myself in different shoe, male, female or even animal, it doesn't matter as long as like the design.I only play games as myself, I’m a Man thus I do not like to play games that doesn’t give me the options to choose
Yes to each their own. I tried playing as other character than myself and I ended up not feeling the game thus I usually will just drop the game or never touch it from the beginningI guess everyone has different view, for me I find playing as myself is boring, I'm myself all my life.
