*The Storm: Holy. Fucking. Shit. Is that a spoiler? Dunno. Best Halo mission ever, at least, so far. The Scarab fight lived up to the billing. I died a couple of times, then decided to go for the legs with a plasma cannon. It dropped and I was able to board. Being on top of that baby, when it rose back up and marched around, looking out over the Ark - one of the most amazing gaming moments ever for me.
*I think everyone who said the announcement trailer wasn't going to be done in the game, or topped for that matter, just got owned. Prison shower style.
*I'd predicted a while back that the Ark was a transport - I was kinda close. At least as seen so far, anyways.
*When that infected ship flew overhead, I said, out loud: "Oh shit, here they come." The way the Flood is introduced was excellent, with some time to build up the tension before it rains bastards like mad. Brute Flood, Hunter Flood(!!!!!!) - and then those other things. Anyone else jump when the giant crawlers come charging?
*Seeing a Marine succumb to a pack of Spores, and then mutate right on the spot - simply awesome. Not for him, of course.
*Mission five was very short, but pretty intense. The inside of the ship freaked me out a bit, with the pulsating pods, flesh (and bones) everywhere. And as soon as it was announced, I knew the flamethrower was going to be a Flood killing machine.
*The redone Under Cover of Night and Brothers in Arms were rousing.
