True story I was there. It kept me at 40 the entire time too...Which is ridiculous.

The next issue of x360 magazine will have new info/screens on Halo Wars. :o Looking forward to seeing the CG cutscenes telling the story... other than that... meh, I'm not a RTS kind of guy, but I'll try it out.

I think that would kinda take the fun out of it. I enjoy it once and a while and it seems to be in the weekends once a month. I think that is probably enough.

If that's the only reason you're playing, then you're kind of playing it for the wrong reasons in the first place. ;)

If they keep it like it is, I want it at least ranked...

It'll be sweet to have matches with those in the 40s.

What should I be playing it for? The standard Halo multiplayer has run its course for me I'm afraid. I'm ready for something new and completely different.

But Ram, it's only fun when the arbitrary number moves up! Everything else (the headshots, miracle sticks, last second comebacks, etc.) aren't the essential part of the game.
 
You know, some of you don't take Halo seriously enough. It's all Hello Kitty on Candyland.

You guys need to play more MLG and grind your 50's.

oh i know! i'll dual wield some spikers. afterall, i keep hearing about how fun they are to use on gaf. you can always count on them being there because no one ever picks it up! let me try to empty the whole clip into the enemy at top mid!

Team Rifles would be great at Narrows. Placing Carbines, Battle Rifles around the map, and with a Sniper Rifle in the bottom center (Shotgun's old spawn).

But that won't work since Team Rifles would force the team to create new maps for the ideal gametype. So much work!

You should play my version of Narrow's Rifles.
 
You know what's funny? Why do people keep thinking that getting closer to you in an AR duel won't result in you meleeing them? I swear, I got 10 melee kills in Team Doubles because I would always engaged by someone when we both had ARs then they would walk towards me and not expect a rifle butt to the face.:lol

I am going to have to clean my file share; and put all 6 Rifle variants in there.

Narrows, Ghost Town, Blackout, Construct, The Pit, Standoff

They are not 100% perfect, there are some adjustments I need to make, as I was still testing them with other Gaffers.
 
Ok so first I beat this guy in Pistols at Dawn and then I get this message

All of a sudden I feel really bad. Like...whats going on? Did he mean I ruined his birthday or something. I seriously feel bad if he has to like tell people online its his birthday.

What's funny is that they probably expected it, meleed you as well, saw the animation and heard the sound, then died.
 
I created a version of Team Rifles for Team Slayer, and a map version of Narrows. Unfortunately, it's about Battle Rifles, a single Sniper (unless two is better, unsure) and added pieces of equipment. I put the Regens in the spots where the Power Drainers use to be and a Bubble Shield where Rockets usually spawned (top center). I didn't touch spawns or grenades.

This. You do know anytime you are doing something GOOD with the AR its only because you have a better ping than the other players.
 
So I'm posting this again, so I can get some feed back. I guess some people actually stuck to that embargo, and well this was lost in it. Maybe.

Anyway here is my newest map, I got inspiration from Easy to do it. It's called Tiny Avalanche

Please give me as much feed back as you can (like Chinner) so I can make the Beta alot better.
 
Can someone please settle this argument I've been having:

If you win against a team of higher ranks you level up faster, correct?

I did something similar on Guardian ARs once, they had sniper covered with the BR/Carbine/Sniper, so I picked up a magnum and a plasma rifle and went to my doom.

That's just it. I'm not having much fun playing Halo 3 anymore. Combine that with a ranking system that seems poised to crush my already weakened enthusiasm to play the game and you should be able to understand my second to last post.

Its not about an arbitrary number.

Jose, I get a pretty decent crew going about three or four times a week. Come play with us. You'll have fun. I guarantee it. Just make sure you mute Daravon, because damn, dude will not stop crying about getting rocketed in the face.
 
what a shitty weekly update. i want the 30 seconds of my life that I wasted reading that crap back.

oh yeah, has anyone broken 100 mill on GeoWars2? I got to 97 mill and I nearly broke my tv in disgust. i need someones record to chase so i have a reason to continue playing this game.
