You can download the maps from B.net. Just go to "Community Files" and then search by maps. Sometimes they'll say "Modded [Map Name]" or sometimes you'll just have to guess.

Yeah, it's a huge shame, IMO, that modders don't make any genuinely cool maps. Every modded map I've seen is exactly the same - random objects are placed in random locations. It's like they just shook up a box of assets and dumped them onto a map.

I thought that any modification of the game was prohibited.

You get banned if you have the map files in your file share. As far as I know, just having the maps isn't really bannable. Not yet anyway. It's really easy to share them.


And it's not like halo 2 where you could do this in Matchmaking, chances are there will never be modded content in MM on Halo 3.

Well I guess that makes sense. I figure that the bannable offense is "putting things into the game that weren't originally there". Kinda like how machinimas are OK but NOT OK to put into one's fileshare.

MLG players love to show off and get people on the main stage screaming so you'll see a lot of no scopes on the pro level. It's a whole lot easier to no scope in Halo 3 than it was in Halo 2 so they definitely take more chances. I'm actually more impressed by quick scopes...show me a video of only quick scopes then i'll be impressed.:D :D

I agree I love the quickscopes too. Also in H3 pros tend to use the noscope more because the quick reload quick weapon changes are no longer there and at that level of play you are basically dead if you need to reload/change weapon. But yea its easier than in H2.

thats because it shows the gamevee capturers control settings and not your own

while we're on the subject of settings, what do u play on? i watched your vids and it looked quite slow do you play on 1?

when i start playing ill start on something high usually 6 and with more games ill lower the sens and play on 4 which is my most comfortable sens

Its on either 3 or 4 depending on how shaky my hands are that day.

KyleJ yea it can be people you know. Video had alotta scope though. Scope turns me off, I need to get wet....err anyways.
 
I'm trying to forge a map, but augh, how do people make double boxes sicking out of the ground at such a slant that they can act as stairs? I try to push it through with the doors but it flips out and doesn't go where I need it to go.

Edit: Nevermind-- I found the problem. I was trying to push it into the middle pipe area.

WTF LUKEMS. WORST MESSAGE EVER!

7x6 = 42 - 1 = 41 + the arrow which points to 16. 57. 57 ...what!

Oh ok nm my theory is the first line is the date 8/16/08

Second line the three dashes are there just to move the arrow to the 16

You get 41 from the fourth line which in 41 days is September 26th, which is a friday.

Also the dots are 9 , 2 , and 6

So 9.26 and I'm guessing it's the autoupdate because of the
