Still some jank when he goes through a portal. Like a stutter or whatever. Not a big deal, I just can't stop noticing it (it's been in all the trailers). Looks amazing overall.
I liked your Demon's Souls thread. Looking forward to it.
You must forgive the Sony faithful. I think they've had a hard few months. They really need this right now.
It was impressive 8 years ago. This Ratchet stuff is lightyears ahead of it, man.
Agree to disagree then because I feel only someone who seriously didn't play through that game's campaign could actually say this with a straight face. It was a monstrous visual accomplishment even by today's standards. The two games also don't even seriously merit a comparison based on their vastly differing visual styles. Ratchet is a monstrous benchmark, but when a game looks as good as Ryse did/does even one as impressive as this can never make it look unimpressive.
Ryse? Come on bro...Agree to disagree then because I feel only someone who seriously didn't play through that game's campaign could actually say this with a straight face. While cinematic use a different rendering budget being able to frame the scene and allocate assets to what is visible only and nothing else; it is the hope that the ssd allows for such fast asset swaps that the cinematic and gameplay are practically seamless. This is the next gen promise.CGI is still computer generated images, so technically yes, it's CGI.
But the point is, it's not comparable with gameplay shots, and anyone believing that are in for a disappointment. Sony are experts at this - just look at the Horizon trailer. Seamless blending between small gameplay clips and longer cutscenes. It works, and it gets people hyped. It's the same story with this trailer. Blending small gameplay snippets with longer cutscene clips. The cutscenes might be running at real-time, but as we all know, there's a gargantuan difference between rendering real-time gameplay and real-time cutscenes.

Ryse? Come on bro...
You tell them, VFX!!
You go tell those console peasant cocksuckers how it's done!!!
The Horror! We’ve only been enjoying the best PS console launch ever. And it’s getting even better.
Honestly, we've had a fairly good stream of news regarding PS5 and PlayStation in general for awhile now. It's just that some people get really picky and choosey over what qualifies as worthy news. Some weeks were lighter than others for sure but people were also expecting Sony to immediately follow up a news story from their competitors with one of their own. Like when Sony became an owner of EVO, the biggest fighting game tournament in the world, that was fairly substantial news but since it wasn't them buying a studio during all the Zenimax talk it was disregarded by many as rubbish. Yet as others pointed out, it was only a matter of time before some PlayStation games started coming into the spotlight and people would suddenly forget what they were so upset about. Returnal has been enjoying a build up of excitement, after spending so long being ignored and ridiculed, and now Ratchet & Clank is dropping jaws again.Did Sony increase news? Everyday it's something it seems. This looks incredible and maybe the best next gen game ive seen.
Ryse was really impressive. It's one of those cases that a launch game stays relevant until the very end of the generation.Agree to disagree then because I feel only someone who seriously didn't play through that game's campaign could actually say this with a straight face. Yeah I see/feel it too. I have faith it'll be gone by release.Still some jank when he goes through a portal. Like a stutter or whatever. Not a big deal, I just can't stop noticing it (it's been in all the trailers). Looks amazing overall.
This is one of those things where rise is spelled ryse like tire is spelled tyre in some parts of the world. Are you talking raw graphics quality? Because I still put Ryse up there next to anything. It was crazy fucking impressive.
Oh my god. I'm crying at this. Dude, you are awesome!!
Kingdom Hearts 3 already reached Toy Story 1 quality on last gen, R&C is already beyond that. Are you sure?
Its probably not as good as Pixar movies of today, but i would argue its overall a lot better than the first Toy Story.
It was the same for years already, it was the same when he was on beyond3d, it was the same when he was on resetera and it's the same here. His attitude of 13 years old butthurted brat with grudge to Playstation's games doesn't change at all. There aren't yet any games on Xbox to analyze.
I bought the digital deluxe. GGCannot wait for this!!! But but but $70!!!!
What are you talking about? Xbox fans started whining long ago.Didnt take long to see immature console warrior shit
Nah, too used now to 60fps, this gen has spoiled me.Idk how you could see how beautiful this game looks at 30fps and then want it downgraded visually at 60 lmao.
30 or bust. This visual fidelity >>>> smoothness
The graphics techniques used so long ago is being reused now. So your comment has merit.Agree to disagree then because I feel only someone who seriously didn't play through that game's campaign could actually say this with a straight face. I'm not going back to playing Ratchet at 30 after that patch. lmao.Nah, too used now to 60fps, this gen has spoiled me.

Thats because Xbox exclusives games haven't been as impressive or as numerous as PlayStations. They didn't over analyse the previous gen games either. That's the point, you hear crickets when it comes to MS games from them, past or present. Those critical eyes becomes conviently blurry when Xbox is involved.
Agreed, it’s more Dreamworks level.can we stop with the it is pixar quality hyper bole?
it looks good, a real gen on gen step up, well done insomniac. but it is not even as technically beautiful as some rtx demo like marbles v2
Huh? How so? The trailer was completely cinematic with no gameplay.hellblade 2 looking about the same as halo 1. Lots of re used graphical techniques like textures and polygons
Agreed, it’s more Dreamworks level.
bUt wHaT aBoUt dUh tEcH dEmO
I mean, it’s no UE5 demo, that is Zilla vs Kong level.

It’s PlayStation Studios level bby boi.no stop it!
it does not look pixar level, dreamworks level or sony picture level
it looks like R&C level on a new console generation

Crackdown 3 was garbage.
Why thank a corporate rat? It’s consumers who finance games with their dollar choiceLooks amazing! Thank you Jim Ryan for pushing more games!
Yep, the lionshare of Xbox One generation titles never touched or came close to that quality. People really sleep on what that game accomplished. The graphics techniques used so long ago is being reused now. So your comment has merit.
It’s PlayStation Studios level bby boi.
Next level.
Its the closest video game we have ever seen to a high quality animated movie. Its a true next gen title.
If MS had the forethought, organizational management and ambition to make a next gen only game that looked like this you'd be sitting in a pool of your own paste singing its praises from the rooftops.
It was a joke on all the BS being spread about him. LolWhy thank a corporate rat? It’s consumers who finance games with their dollar choice
Crackdown 3 was garbage.
Huh? And why is that?
What hes done ?
What the fuck are they complaining about JAT for? Is it more cancellation bullshit?
Good god, those snakes need to get over themselves
Crackdown has always been garbage.
