Only 14.5% of men are 6'0, yet make up for 58% of CEOs

Tom Cruise uses lifts to increase his height, even though I would consider him a certified alpha dude.

6’4” here. It has been my life experience - and I’m sure I’m older than the majority on this forum - that to be tall has certainly had it’s benefits.

6'2'' here. It doesn't feel super tall in central europe since that is where many tall people are, but it is certainly something that others do think more about than I do and gets you attention/affection/envy.

In the end the only annoying thing about being tall is when you find people or read articles that are so jealous they reduce you and your accomplishments to your height or are heavily suggesting/implying that it is the sole reason.
(I haven't visited japan yet so being tall there hitting your head on doorframes might also be annoying, but atleast that is a limbo dance I can participate in)

Only 14,5% are higher than 6'0?! I'm legit surprised. I thought the USA was the land of the giants judging by how many men says they can't get a partner because of height on the internet.

I’m 5’9 (maybe 5’10 with running shoes on) and I feel pretty darn average out in public. Like taller than 50% of guys, shorter than 50% of guys. I’ve met plenty of women about my height or way taller when they wear high heels or shoes with big soles lol.

I do agree that CEO’s and general leaders are usually on the 6 foot + side (presidents too) because they naturally assert dominance and command by being taller. Tall people are generally much more attractive than short people because of this.

I am exactly 6’0 apparently.
We use meters here in Austria.
For Austrian standards that is slightly above average; many tall people here.

I'm 5,9 apparently. Never has been a problem for me though because I have always been athletic as fuck. Of course I would have loved to be taller, but my height has never been a problem for me.

Long time ago I worked with a guy that was 4'10, he wasn't a dwarf in the sense of like a Tyrion Lannister, he was more or less proportionate like a regular person, just really small. And he was really athletic too (he took growth hormone, so maybe was that) and he was kind of cute (no homo), like a solid 8 (before the baldness attacked).

Why I'm saying this? Well, because his wife wasn't tbe best looking woman around and I always thought that he compromised because of his own insecurity, when in reality he could easily have had a better looking wife. Or maybe she was prettier when they were younger, I don't know.

But the point is that, if you are not a certified circus freak, pretty much most of this is all in your head. If you work to make yourself better, you will earn the self-respect that will earn the respect of others.

The problem I see though is people who are complete slobs thinking they deserve the hottest pornstar ever or then they don't care.

I'm 6'2, I think being tall is extremely overrated.

Bullshit. You wouldn’t think so if you were 5’6. I’m the runt of my family at 6’2 my brother is 6’6. Being tall is a massive advantage in almost every aspect of life dude.

Couldn't agree more. I'm 184cm (that's 6' on the stoopid system) and have never in my life experienced any "social" perk that being tall may bring. Heck, it makes my autism even more noticeable. =/

I agree. Besides doing labour work. Bending over is a lot harder when your tall. More likely to have back issues in that field of work. It’s alright though CEOs don’t have to lift shit

Being taller isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sure you have advantages, but their are disadvantages, as well.

Long limbs, mean more strain when moving around and lifting things. Also have more body to feed, for upkeep.

Even at 5'11 for me, simple squats put strain on my knees, after a few bends.

Nah, I'm the tallest in my family, I was the tallest at school for most of my life... It only got me nicknames "wall", "tube man"... I grew up too fast, had no muscle, was goofy, so bullying started too... At the end I just really wish I was smaller and out of the spotlight.

I was poor too, no ergonomics for me. Traveling was always on small cars, economic class on buses and planes (which are the fucking worst), extremely uncomfortable...

So maybe if you're a good looking dude, naturally athletic, living under decent financial situation, then maybe it's fucking awesome... but being only tall for the sake of being tall means fucking nothing, I wished I was smaller and "normal" for the longest time.
