Proper DualSense support, thank you. Too many devs sleep on (read: lazy) when it comes to haptics, it really does elevate a game and takes immersion to the next level.

Unless you use a dildo shaped sword i don't see that happening

Hexworks is part of ci, pretty much the same entity, different name, like a franchise. I know devs change often and their history is history but suffice to say I will still be very much in doubt about the quality of the game.
This is a different team than the team that did there other games.

It seems that the game is extremely well optimized, but there's still a lot of the jank of the original game:

I might read the streamers impressions and make a thread later.

So far, all my favorite "souls" tubers like it. I'm fully in. Glad i skipped Lies of P to not get souls fatigue before the main meal.

I actually tried Lies of P two days ago but didn't feel it at all. I guess also the Pinoccio theme isn't for me.

It is a team that was created for this game by CIG. I have my doubts about it. The development was quite short. I was expecting a delay but because it’s not happening then the game itself will have probably some issues. I don’t want to say it’ll be bad but I don’t have my hopes high.

CIG is a company established by a businessman (he had some sushi restaurants and porn publishing). He don’t know anything about making games yet he has a lot to say about them. They had a whole team of developers but now they don’t because CEO had yet another vision.

Main meal ? After Lies of P this game has a LOT to prove, that said, imo this game ll not be good as LoP.
Not sure why Lies of P is treated as some gold stanrdard. If anything it tries to gets into the boots of Darks Souls, and that's way bigger challange than LoP.

Watching some streams, my two main gripes: The audio for hitting enemies is undercooked (I hope this gets patched or something later), and the other thing is movement feels floaty compared to the game world.

The problem is that LoP is actually the gold standard for souls-borne games from now on, it is the game that gets closer to From games, even surpassing DS2 imo.

Just go see some soulstubers reviews and you ll see everyone praising the game even above Nioh series.

That said LotF has a lot of shoes to fill and since it ll release just some months after LoP comparisson ll be inevitable.

Nah, I think the consensus is that it's a pretty good replacement if there is nothing from From, but that's just it. I don't think it's actually being put on as Bloodborne level.

Imo it's not possible that lotf is worse as far as the boss and encounter design goes.

i never said it was on bloodborne level, i said that was better then DS2 and that this game from now on is the gold standard for souls-borne games that are not from Fromsoftware.

from the previews, combat dont feel that diferent from the OG LotF and the sound effects are bad imo, dont get me wrong, hopefuuly it ll be a great game but i dont know if it ll be best then LoP.

i m at the end of NG+ and like every souls games there is good bosses and awful ones ( i m looking at you bed of chaos ) not a problem for me.

It's not. Only a few obssesed gaffers. The Surge and Nioh 2 are still far superior than Lies of P. People are just desperate for souls-like games and anything thats competent enough is treated as amazing by default which is stupid. Lies of P is a 7 at best and has 0 chance against Nioh 2 in terms of everything.

Looks really nice, the animation, art, level of detail feels like a step above Elden Ring.
Also excited about the larger moveset, something that always irked me about From games.
FROM is really good about creating an interesting world and very tense battles, but the quality of everything else is kinda meh.

Not watching any footage from this, as I want to go in blind. But the earlier trailers and positive previews from folks who loves this genre makes this a day 1 for sure. Design and atmosphere looks spot on.

Lies of P was great and left me hungry for more of this, so the timing of this game is perfect.
Fingers crossed for a well optimized PC version.

Iam still missing chapter 11 bosses but I have yet to meet a memorable boss. Iam 100% sure if they design part 2 the same way that sales will jump of the cliff because most people even people who beat the game will skip it.

Even without playing it you can tell that lotf 2023 plays different than the previous one it's much faster and it has alot more options. With everything I saw its basically dark souls 4 in everything but name. I would take every bet that it will end up better than lop.

I remember when people having a game a week out was because of a shady mom and pop store, now they are just distributed to influencers to increase hype and make us all jelly. Now my weak ass is spoiling the game by watching it being played.

On the other hand, having so much gameplay to watch make shitty reviewers and pointless MC even more reduntant.

Btw, rurikhan and cohh are also streaming the game.

I'm just watching snippets from everyone since i don't really trust anyone in particular, not even the so called experts like fextradude or cowboy dude.

I went with Oro because he has never led me wrong with the Souls-likes. We match up pretty well in tastes. He's loving it so far. He'll be a good dude to check out for invasions as well, that's his jam.

Was just watching CohhCarnage play Lords of the Fallen (high profile UE5 game releasing in about a week) and I can already spot noticeable stutters and performance slowdowns on his 4090 rig. May God help us all when the entire industry switches to UE5...

Can you give a summary of it?
I didn't watch it all. The last section is his summary more or less, but you know it's from a stream, so it's a bit of a rambling. Generally he seems to like it, he has some nitpics (according to me).
He doesn't like this second world too much, but that's because he generally doesn't like puzzles.

It looks gorgeous, but I don't have enough energy left, not even for the possible Elden Ring DLC. I'm experiencing game overload for the first time. The timing seems bad; I hope it will be successful.
