Lamen here: Why do pc games simply do not blow out console games graphically?

I love how you always completely miss the point and ignore the fact that the PC-ports always come with issues.
And console version always have more issues. IQ, resolutions, performance, controls, paid online, downgrades, no mods, prices, no BC/FC...

why there’s PC port-begging for Sony 1st party.

Because no game deserves to be held back by potato console limitations and deserves to come to PC in full glory.

No they get made with the lowest denominator in mind which is lower end PC specs.
No they don't. Do you see Pentium 2 and Riva TNT being in the minimum requirements? Those minimum specs are because you can run the games with everything on low settings. Series S doesn't run games with every setting on the lowest.

PC requirement is lower than series s

Persona 3 Reloaded

The minimum spec for Suicide Squad is indeed stronger than a Series S.

Persona 3 is the remake of a PSP/2 game with graphics barely better than Persona 5, targeted at the PS3. The lowest spec would actually be the Switch in that case.

No idea what the other game is.

You should've been around in the early days of 3D accelerators. Now that was a leap from consoles that today's gamer couldn't even begin to comprehend.

THIS! Some of us that were born before the year 1990 understand that there was a REAL difference between PC and consoles. Now, not that much any more.

Again, because there are low settings on PC. Series S doesn't run any game with all settings on lowest preset.
That doesn't make what I said wrong.
Series s isn't the weakest denominator.
Low spec PC's are and if anything is holding superior tech back in the development process...it's these low spec PC's that these games have to be able to run on.

Devs can choose whatever minimum specs they want. They have no obligation with any hardware as minimum. Unlike consoles with the XSS. Did you see any game caring about RIVA TNT or Steam Deck for minimum?

P3R is not on switch yet. However the game was still being made for Xbox One and I'd be confident in saying that a 650 ti is more capable than an Xbox one

The vast majority of PCs suck and are worse than the current consoles. Most games, especially Live Service, are developed with these low spec PCs in mind.
That's why they can run those games at lowest settings at 800x600 or even lower. Did you see any game running on Series S with all settings on the lowest preset?

Or did Sony make R&C and Returnal caring about low specs PCs???

The irony is that PC gamers are ecstatic when the latest PC games run fine in 60fps in 1280x800 on a low-powered, low-specced Steamdeck and at the same time they complain that it's the PS5 that is holding back graphics on gaming PCs.

And let's be honest - if this game were day and date on PC, it would stutter all over the place and have tons of technical issue.
If the devs are incompetent, yes.

Maybe bacause, again, devs have no obligations with the Steam Deck. If a game can run there, it is just a "plus". Or you think R&C running on Deck is because Sony thought about it and the PS5 version was held back by it too?

I know a 4090 has like 80-90 teraflops of processing power vs the PS5's 8-10 teraflops. A 4090 cost about 3x what a ps5 does alone so it should be much more powerful. With that said, Why do we not see the difference? Yes I know a 4090 can run similiar looking games at increased framerates but why do we not see eye melting graphics.

Throwing all the numbers out of the WIndows, I am going to use the tools I was born with the eye test. I look at Playstation games like Ratchet and Clank remake, Horizon Forbidden West, Dark Souls remake, even the Resident Evil 4 remake and others that visually can go toe to toe with what the pc has to offer. Why? The pc is clearly superior and it's price point reflects that but why do I not see the Vastly improved visuals? I get it that on pc one has to develop for the lowest common denominator but there are always some studios who are going to push the envelope.
4K 120hz vs 1440p 30hz

Still shots or compressed youtube videos will look similar but playing for yourself and you will immediately notice the large difference

Only because Square are apparently incompetent when it comes to UE4. They don't really appear to have any major issues with their own in house engines. Forspoken had no major stutter issues on PC for example. FF16 will probably be fine on PC but Rebirth is another story

Bro it's portable we give that shit a pass... not to mention steam deck compatibility is not required for a game to launch on pc, unlike with the Xbox series s

What are you talking about? No-one is targeting a 1050, they make the game and then see what hardware it runs on and then say whatever gets 1080p or 720p at lowest settings the minimum requirement.
Do you really think that when they were remastering the Last of Us for PS5 they were held back by targeting a Radeon 470?

And those issues can be fixed James. Can this Image quality be fixed? or is it a "blood from a turnip" situation at this point?

I would imagine that Quality mode got all of the technical attention.

Yes, image quality CAN be fixed. Just like at Horizon: FW 60 fps mode. There's no reason why FF7R should have that large of disparity between quality and performance when other games do not have them. Again, this is the result of a developer focusing on the Quality mode. It's similar to developers not focusing on any specific PC platform and it ends up having tons of issues depending on your config.

Because they suck compared to PC. Understand now or need a drawing?
Consoles sucking =/= pcmr bullshit. The term PCMR was created by console warriors, as you should know already.

Devs can choose whatever minimum specs they want. They have no obligation with any hardware as minimum. Unlike consoles with the XSS. Did you see any game caring about RIVA TNT or Steam Deck for minimum?
Senua Senua conviently we don't see your hypocritical ass crying for a mod with this troll running wild do we.

rodrigolfp rodrigolfp devs choose to support weak specs no matter how you spin it and it is holding everything above back.

That is not how things work on PC. They target OS, API and drivers, not one or several specs. Issues like stutters are 100% devs fault for not giving pre compilarion option or the engine sucking with traversal stutter that can happen on any platform.

The PS5 graphics mode looks amazing. Play it there. Framerate snobs are insufferable.
How does wanting a good frame rate in a game make you a snob? Also, the game might look ok if you’re standing still, but when you move the 30fps mode looks bad. Like really weird and choppy animations. The 60fps mode looks better in motion overall.

P.S.- Rebirth will stutter even if it comes a year later. Modders will be ready for it this time.

Point the trolling, ignorant. You insist in your bullshits and call others troll when have no arguments and even after you are called out by more than 1 individual here. Grow up.

This post up here is almost a drawing for you and others still with this nonsense about low spec PCs holding things back.

You haven't made a single argument.
You come off as a ignorant blatant anti console PC snob.
I quoted just a fraction of your trolling.

So 4090 is not held back by PC gamers with inferior cards? (which is the vast majority according to Steam stats)

Hardware aside, pushing the limits demands a ton of human work that just doesn't pay off. The ROI is abysmal.
It absolutely is.
Inferior in features and rasterization gpu's,Inferior CPU's,Inferior/smaller amounts of ram and much slower storage solutions.
What am I missing?

64bitmodels

Reverse groomer.
Yes it is.
Series s is more efficient, newer with more modern features.
Has a much faster storage solution.
More modern and efficient CPU.
You can have a 1070 + ryzen 5 combo with an ssd as well. The cpu may be better in the Xbox but the gpu suffers too much to consider that a win. Especially when this was a topic about graphics in pc games
