Look I hated FF15 but it oozes bloated production value.
In fact with the beginning of FF7 that's basically the series defining hallmark. And there aren't a lot of companies that can spend that kind of money on a JRPG.

Tales of Arise and Xenoblade Chronciles 1 & 2 capture the grandeur of an FF game. Persona 5 and recent Yakuza games as well, although there's a lot of asset reuse and repetition in those games.
I think with FFXVI and VII Rebirth Square is going to reassert themselves as the kingpins in terms of delivering a comprehensive experience that other developers struggle to rival.
