Fire Emblem Heroes |OT| Mount Breeding Simulator

For the heck of it started another (not registered and impermanent) account and it took the equivalent of perhaps 150 orbs between restarts to get a middling Ayra. Of course, got Eldigan earlier. But also got Performing Olivia who I am still trying to get on the real account. She's very easy to like, so orbs on the main account will still try to get her while the banner is available.

Got Ayra out of my system without putting $ into that frickin' banner and meh. I do like that she is voiced by Brina Palencia though.

Troll gacha. Pulling reds and getting a puff, only for Eliwood, Marth, Corrin, Lon'qu and Seth to appear. All repeats.
:(

Now I just watch Geneology Switch to be announced.

I don't think anyone who plays the game is going to disagree with that. Well unless they work with IS. :p
I feel like there is always someone somewhere that will try and tell you why its a good thing.

This is the about the only time I've ever seen universal disdain. Even xbox one's original design had defenders.

I wonder how willing nintendo is to remake genealogy. Thats a lot of incest and weirdness to stomach, and not cringey fates "not really incest", just incest.

They'll handle it like they did with Eirika and Ephraim or Raven and Priscilla, probably.

The only super incesty stuff is
Arvis and Deirdre

Hell yea, sniped some reds this morning and got a +SPD -RES Ayra. Pretty sure that's the best IV for her. Wasn't even swordblocked by Eldigan, just a few 3-4* crap units first.

Ares and Nanna. Lachesis wanted Eldigan. Sylvia and Claud (speculative). And beides Ares and Nanna there are a lot of potential cousin pair ups in second gen.

Are.... Oh. Aless.

I'm not completely up to date with all of NoA's new translated names.

I thought Nanna x Lief was canon?

Isn't Nanna the cannon Leif lover tho?
Canon doesn't really apply much when considering whats possible in the game. A remake could of course drop those options and retool the initial parent lineage to prevent cousin hookups. I'm just wandering how much they would want to retool and how much they would keep intact coming off of valentia.

Go read the support conversation for Ares and Nanna though if you are interested in a Cringe

For the 10000000000th time, there's no incest behind Eirika and Ephraim's relationship outside of translation errors and very avoidable goofs (I get liking Eirika, but there's pretty much no reason to change her title from "Restoration Lady" to "Restoration Queen).

FE4's remake is pretty much a lock. It's overwhelming popularity in Japan and groundbreaking additions have made it a fan favorite. The issue is that the direction will be completely different; Kaga's direction gave it a GoT type atmosphere (teehee FE4 came first) where the world is cruel and unjust with a story and characters that reflected. The remake will inevitably lighten things up but overplay up the dark moments.

They won't take out the incest because it's literally integral to the story.

They're throwing money at the Voice Actors for it in Japan that's for sure. The VAs they got lined up have me super hopeful tbh.

despite the everyone wanting to bone everyone in FE4, considering that NoA didn't shy away from Lucius and Libra androgeny, Raven/Priscilla, Tharja's obsession, Niles being Niles, and Camilla, I don't see much of a problem bringing FE4 to the US.

Going from Echoes to a Genealogy remake would be pretty disappointing for map designs, I hope they hold off on a FE4 remake for a while.

they did remove most of fates petting minigame, some outfits, and completely skipped translating the same sex partner conversations.

Still when it comes to FE4 I wasn't really thinking of NoA, really just NoJ. Deirdre and Arvis is central to the plot, but with all the free incest rolling around with the characters as you pair them up, I feel like even NoJ would try to at least reel that in these days. The Owain/Lucina situation that someone mentioned above applies, pair them up but they are "Companions" not lovers.

lets hope for fully redesigned maps in all remakes from here on out

You got desperation 2 and desperation 3 fodder if you want to spend the feathers though.
shit at only 2k feathers to get to desperation 3, thats a damn nice pull for SI

Fates has cousin incest as well aĺl over the place. I've long since come to accept that someonein a fire emblem game is going to marry or fuck a relative of varying degrees of closeness.

I think an fe4 remake can tackle the issue with grace if they get the right writers to do it. There is so much good in that game that people should experience that I don't want the more taboo aspects of it to prevent it get a new release.

I just realized I have a +Res/-Atk Elincia that would probably be perfect for Def Ploy. I also have a +Atk/-def Est sitting at 3* that could rise up and run the other def Ploy.

Keeping one Arvis though. Quite like him.

FE6 is the only one that's pure 😎

Not even Heroes has any dialogue that references Klein and Clarine lol

Clarine: Ahh! Klein!
Klein: W-What! What’s wrong, Clarine?
Clarine: You look wonderful in that outfit today!
Klein: And I was wondering what in the world happened when you screamed like that… Is that all?
Clarine: But Klein! In this army, everyone is just so aesthetically challenged! You truly shine when you are among them, Klein!
Klein: Clarine, you only think that because I’m your family…
Clarine: No! There is no one else in the world who could match you. Perhaps General Percival has more authority, but you will always be the most beautiful!

Klein: Clarine, come over here.
Clarine: Oh, Klein? How do you fare today?
Klein: Not too well, I’m afraid.
Clarine: ? Is something wrong?
Klein: Is it true that you said harsh things to the cleric and made her cry?
Clarine: No, I did not make her cry. She is the one who just started crying.
Klein: …So it’s true that she did cry.
Clarine: It is her fault! She was sucking up to you.
Klein: What do you mean?
Clarine: She was healing your wounds before I got the chance.
Klein: Clarine!
Clarine: But I wanted to heal your injuries so that you would be proud of me and would say that I was being a great help, and…
Klein: …But I was proud of you. I was thinking that my naive little sister’s so grown up now… But now that you’ve done this…
Clarine: I-I’ll never do it again! Please don’t hate me, Klein!
Klein: What are talking about. I’ll never hate you.
Clarine: Oh, thank you, Klein!

Clarine worships her brother in a very generic, archetypical "all men cannot compare to my brother!" type of way. As far as sibling relationships go, it's not even remotely the most pure.

Was it worth all the orbs it took to achieve this?

Probably not. But I'll never be short on dancers again.
Congrats!
I’m only missing Shigure and currently debating going for him as well... I probably will try if we don’t have an interesting Halloween banner: I need to pull blue for my first Reinhart, and in the crazy hope of getting a Nephenee with better IV than mine. ^^

I got about the same result. At a focus rate of 0.03 with the current setup the probability that a red orb in a summon set is Ayra is about 0.0321031. If she were the sole red out of three in the banner, the chance that a red orb gets you Ayra is about 0.0331679. Not much of a difference in practical terms, it turns out.

Do you have any site that explains the mechanics for summoning? I'm interested in knowing the details.

Corrin x Azura
in Fates was also a thing. *Revelations spoilers*
iirc they dance around that as hilariously as all the other ones.
Azura and Corrin would be step siblings with completely different parents. Arete and an unnamed father for Azura. Anankos and an Mikoto for Corrin. Corrin's only true sibling is Lilith, who is not an option for romance

If I'm counting everything up right, at a pity rate of 3% the probability that on the Ayra banner a red summoning orb is a pity breaker but not Ayra is 5.43438%. If she were the sole red focus on the banner, the chance of getting a pity breaker that is not Ayra is 5.42748%. So with Elidigan being another red focus your chances of getting a red pity breaker that is not Ayra only goes up 0.00690724%.

The main thing that makes the difference so small is that the chances of getting a red pity breaker are small to begin with. First the game has to roll a 5* focus or general 5* (only 3% chance for either one) and then it has to roll a red character from the respective pool.

Edit:

I think it's discussed earlier in the thread but it works like this: you start with the given rates for each rarity (currently starting at 5* focus = 3%, 5* = 3%, 4* = 58%, 3* = 36%). When you start a summoning session, the game will make five pairs of rolls for each stone to determine the rarity and then the hero. First it rolls according to the stated rates to pick the rarity. Once that is determined, it randomly selects one unit from all of the units available for that rarity (listed under Details on the banner) with each being equally likely. It then shows you the color of the hero selected. It repeats this for each of the other summoning stones using the same rates for each, and the result of each stone is independent of the others.

No
arete and mikoto are sisters so corrin and azura are cousins.

I'll gladly throw money on a banner that has units that I'd love to have, but even I can understand the fuming surrounding Ayra's banner. She should definitely have been a part of the Genealogy banner and I see it as IntSys looking for more money (obviously) from goons like me who like to spend it. But man! Ayra. Those stats.

I got a question. I'm thinking of making an Olivia 5* just so all my dancers are 5*.

Should I use a neutral nature, or +Spd/-Def?

The rates for a 5* Focus vs a 5* non-Focus seem to be independent of each other, so how do you calculate the probability of getting either one?

Ayra's probably my second favorite character in the series and I would have gladly dropped money to get her if they'd just advertised and released her normally. Instead I'll invest in something less nauseating. Like two hundred gallons of mayonnaise, or a clown figurine collection.

Ha, I'd like to get her as well but not taking part in this banner at all (excluding the free pull of course).
