I played it and beat it twice, the second was Permadeath mode.
I think the game is great, but doesn't have any real replay value.
Worth the $30 or less.
You become OP around 2/3 in and the enemies are a joke but that is part of the fun of AC games.

Same. Thought it was pretty fun for $40, esp if you like the old AC games. I liked Origins well enough but hated the epic sprawl of Odyssey and Valhalla.

I couldn't even get myself motivated to click "download", all the reviews looked terrible to me

If you like pre-Origins AC games you're missing out.
