We should be best friends. Raiden is fucking incredible (no Raiden 2 though etc., stupid 8-bitty has shitty mappings) and I'm STILL playing DoP, however my current jam is Nightmare mode.
Cleared it in 37s yesterday
While we're on shmups, we need some Aero Fighters. Given I literally had no idea Raiden was coming out (which is a godsend, if I'd known the wait would've been unbearable) hopefully that's sprung upon us next. Or any of the 19XX games. Or Mars Matrix.
Edit: Holy shit, looking up DotEmu in the app store is a fucking wallet killer. Something called Avenging Spirit is free on there, no idea what it's like. For shmup fans, there's E.D.F. and P-47 for $2 a pop (half-price apparently due to their release of Last Express).
Omg E.D.F.!!! Such a rad game. Hard as balls, too, totally worth $2. Would kill, KILL, for Mars Matrix! Such an under appreciated gem. Came out at the worst possible time.
37 seconds in Nightmare? Oi... I don't think I've ever cleared it, but I've also only played that mode maybe 10 times. I'm so stuck on Pro mode its not even funny. I'm now consistently hitting 400,000, so maybe 1,000,000 isn't too far off...

I have seen it done a few times, actually; although I couldn't tell you which specific apps/games did it.
Yeah, welcome to Super Hexagon. It'll feel impossible at first, but you'll get better over time.
Personally, I gave up after completing the first 2 modes. But I might get back to it at some point later on.

Alright, Vice City is fantastic and hilarious. Within 30 minutes I already experienced a guy beating up a cop outside the lawyer's apartment; me having sex with a girl in the car who didn't pay me, so I ended her life; becoming the hero of the day and seeing some very nice lighting effects from the sunset, mirroring on the hotel floor etc.

how does VC hold up? GTA3 didn't seem to age really well for me.
And based off TA folks, it seems like best way to play MC4 is on iphone 5 and iphone 4s. Seems like ipad versions ain't ideal in one way or another.

How does the Mini feel with the controls? Was worried it might not be optimal but I guess it's better than playing on a full size iPad.

Vice City holds up very well. And I weren't that much of a fan back in the PS2 days but now I'm getting more into it.
To me it's perfect but I happen to love touch screen control.

I never played it on Xbox but they updated the character models, lighting effects and improved the targeting system.

Say se debs talking about it on twitter. Ran a google search. Apparently it's been released on the Canadian iOS store, will release in the US in a few weeks.
It plays great. I mostly don't even look at the screen when turning the cars and breaking but that's how it was in GTA3 as well. It have to be said, that there's a few slow-downs in cut-scenes and of course pop-in and pop-out and those usual things you can expect.

From memory, it looks a LOT better than the Xbox one. Reflections afaik weren't that good and lighting at least looks on par. Models I think are a little better, too.
Anyone with an iPad 3 able to test performance? I can't see how it'd run well at 20,048x19,204 million pixels with the A5X.
PS. I bought an iCade Core today. Probably especially for Raiden given the arse button mappings on the 8-bitty.
