So did a lot of people in here.

One of my favorite things about these threads is watching people slowly turn on a show they were hyped for.
There are some good episodes in there. As a whole though the project is really a nightmarish mess, and I say that as one of the people not only more open to it, but also forgiving of it. I don't think anything can really compare to the narrative mess that is Fujiko. The show explodes on its own potential and stamps it out.

No clue then. Just going by the wikia. I never watched the OVAs. Maybe she was just in the beginning or end or something when they get back to the real world?

Taking a quick look again and the big plant version of Celine does make an appearance as something Momo summons in the game, as Nana summons Haruna's dog. Odd that they would completely skip over her introduction, but oh well. Celine hasn't been much beyond a cute little filler character so far.

Sometimes thats all you need.

Yeeeeeeeeeah, I really didn't get that. Even as someone who was a bit more forgiving of that episode. It's doesn't stack up favorably at all to many of the other episodes. They also liked the message of the ending, which was more befuddling.

Different strokes for different folks I suppose. There were a small number of people who liked aspects of the show of course, but they're just in a very small minority, from what I can tell.

No, they are like many other anime movies where they just recycle footage from the TV series to edit them into movies with some added new footage and stuff.

See: MacrossF, Gurren Lagann, Tiger & Bunny, etc.

Isn't MacrossF almost entirely new footage and hugely divergent in terms of plot, though? The second movie in particular is pretty significantly different from the TV version.

Actually, there's some weirdness going on with the Tiger & Bunny movies as well, given that Sunrise are also releasing another pair of direct to DVD/BD recap movies that are completely separate entities to the theatrical releases.

huh really? even I liked fate/zero I thought everything on ann got a 10/10 "Oscar worthy it saved my life, if it wasn't for this anime helping me through a dark time in my life I would probably be died on some streetcorner"review.

[Jinrui/Humanity Had Declined] - 9

This is easily the best Jinrui episode since the opening story. If you were a fan of those episodes but lost interest with the series along the way I still highly suggest that you check out this episode. Tonally, visually and direction-wise it feels far closer to the start of the show than any other episode in the series. It's just a fun little one-off story that explores a neat idea. Now, arguably, that idea has been explored by The Simpsons, Futurama and Dennou Coil but they do it a little bit differently here. Also, who can resist such adorable fairies?

Jinrui91.jpg

I also feel like this episode does a good job of showcasing all of Mediator-chan's weaknesses as a person. Her tendency to dodge responsibilities, go with the flow, avoid hard work and manipulate others all come to the fore here.

Jinrui93.jpg

Her exploitation of the fairies this week is on a hitherto unforseen scale. It's pretty glorious:

It was worth paying attention to the series for the last few weeks just to experience this episode.

The idea behind the ending was good, it was just poorly executed and mostly delivered through straightforward exposition.
I found it all to be pretty offensive and unwieldy after the fact. Did it want to be something with a
horrendous
theme? Did it want to be a fun Lupin show? I don't think it ever really figured that out.
