Heihachi has been in every Tekken though hasn't he? And he was the PS exclusive character in SC2 if I remember correctly...

Figured it might help people see it if you remove the background:

^ I saw that stealth edit.

It's hard to remember all the time! It's fine on quick fire posts. But on the ones that are a bit more involved I forget :(

Also all of my posts are on topic. No prattling from me. Every single one nominates a character to be included in this game. Theres nothing wrong with that

Hope Superbot's been cooking up a kickass character hype video for the All-Stars intro.

Ooooooo journey! Stage mashup would be glorious. Maybe it was said before but it would be awesome if the cargo stage from UC3 unhooked and fell into a journey setting halfway through.

An earnest question here

While I (who has yet to get his hands on the game) am cautiously optimistic about the Supers system, there are many who are not. When anti-PSASBR complainers aren't complaining about how this game is a "Smash rip-off", their complaints usually pertain to only being able to kill with Supers.

That said, would it really be hard for Superbot to just add a health bar mode? Just to satisfy a significant amount of potential buyers? It just seems like an easy fix to something that has a lot of negative reaction (as well as positive reaction, but the Supers mode doesn't have to be abolished). Throw that option in there, and the many people who aren't sold on the Supers will have their concerns satiated.

Personally, I think SuperBot should stick to their guns. This is THEIR game. Yes, it's a "PlayStation Celebration," but I prefer when a developer stands by their convictions and sticks to the design plan.

Look at the fallout Sucker Punch got when they changed Cole, then were pressured to change him back. In the end, nobody was really satisfied, and Sucker Punch came off as unfocuses and wishy washy.

Look at what happened when Insomniac changed up things with Resistance 2. People went apeshit. I haven't played R3 yet (still on my want list, though), but from what I hear, they went back to the roots of the Resistance series, and the game is excellent.

The Super system in PBR works, and it's fun, and it doesn't just feel like it was put there just to make it different from Smash. It's actually well implemented, just in need of heavier balance and tweaking. It adds a different feel to the gameplay, and is what gives this game its identity. I guess they could put a health mode in the game, but I don't want the game to be like every other fighter. I want it to be its own thing, and it is.

If other people are that turned off by the Super system, and aren't willing to give it a chance, that's on them, but I applaud SuperBot for sticking to their guns about this. So many games have sounded crazy on paper, only to turn out excellent in practice (see: Shadow of the Colossus, for one example: a game that consists of nothing but empty prairies and 16 boss battles. That is all. Sounds horrible. The game is fan-fricking-tastic, and one of my favorite games of all time, and last generation).

^ Hey J, did your thoughts about the characters change since the write up you did?

If we have 10 dedicated posters who post every single minute on the clock, we can make this thread reach 20 000 within 100 minutes. Technically. Don't think the mods would appreciate shallower prattling than we have right now.

I can always get more in depth. Buy things are more or less the same. Just message me if you want anything more!

Gray Fox skin for Raiden!

I actually rather have alternate costumes than skins. So Kat would have maid, military, and spy costumes rather than a Raven skin. Look I stayed on topic and kept Kat in the convo.

Also I can always tell a figboy post by its length. Lol.

I agree 100%. The super system is original and most importantly it works. I also feel like if this game was health based it would get old real fast. The super system is a perfect mix of traditional fighting games and something original. It is familiar yet different.

How sick would it be if soon after Superbot announces Crash, Sony says that they acquired the ip back and have a studio working on a game already for Vita and PS3

That would be amazing.

That would be awesome. But they'd have to work hard to revive expectations after what Activision did to the franchise.

As much as I'd love to see Crash and Spyro, I wouldn't throw too much of a fit if they didn't get in since that's ultimately up to a 3rd party. Not to mention, since they're using the new Dante, Activision would probably make them use the new age Crash and Skylanders' Spyro. Bleh.

No excuses if Kat doesn't get in though. That's all on them.

Activision sucks balls. That's really all there is to it.

I wouldn't count out Crash just yet, though. You never know. I don't see Spyro in the game, because of the Skylanders success, but Crash hasn't been a good game since CTR, and I'm sure Activision is wondering why they still have the license. If they can eek some money out of Crash, I can see him showing up in the game, but probably as DLC.

It makes the most sense to me to DLC him.

Man I hope LBP Vita & Sly 4 are successful so that Sony can invest more in the mascot character space. Even if not big budget retail releases PSN/Vita Games would be perfect for those type of games.

I don't quite see sly4 being successful on the ps3 let alone the vita...

Success is a relative term. I think Sly 4 has a very modest budget, and thus doesn't need to be a multimillion seller. Think of it like the movies. Transformers needs to do $300 million, whereas District 9 is considered a huge success even though it still made considerably less.

I hope that rationale translates to a gravity rush sequel. I need mas Kat.

True that but i don't see it even selling half a million, the game barely has any hype around it but sony can change that as for a gravity rush sequel i think @yosp and even it's director hinted at it

If we are rushing to 20000 then I'll just throw out my most recent character wishlist.

1. Kat (Gravity Rush)
quiJQ.jpg

2. Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII)
THaos.jpg

3. Robbit (Jumping Flash)
f8pvp.jpg

4. Wander (Shadow of the Colossus)

5. Rudy Roughnight (Wild Arms)

I feel like my list actually has the 4 most likely first party inclusions and the 1 most likely third party inclusion, so my hopes are firmly high enough to really crush me when the final few characters and DLC characters get announced.

Does anyone else have any reasonable hopes for any other first party characters?
