It's the real deal:I think this guy is lying, I can't find any credits for him anywhere. And Nintendo explicitly said that we would find out who the actor is in the credits.
Nintendo confirmed the news in an email, saying simply, “The voice actor’s name is Kevin Afghani.” The news comes after iconic voice actor Charles Martinet stepped away from the role in August to become a Mario ambassador.
His name was in the data mined info released the other day. They just wrongly assumed it was Tom Ivan and not this guy who was down as being the VA for the talking flower.I think this guy is lying, I can't find any credits for him anywhere. And Nintendo explicitly said that we would find out who the actor is in the credits.
"It's a me/him, Mario."He/Him in his bio... big yikes folks!
Not surprised. LA-based actors tend to be left-leaning. I'm sure ESG played a role in casting too.He/Him in his bio... big yikes folks!
Yep i hate this Woke trend but its not surprising at all given its LA and as long as 'he' does a good job (as much as he can say about voicing Mario) and shouts Mama Mia! then it doesn't matter who it is
Calm down bro. I'm just not a fan of people who have pronouns in their bios. We all cool with that?
Does he have any cancelable Tweets? Is he really an Afghan or is that just a name?
If so, what tribe?Bio | KevinZAfghani

He barely uses his twitter. So, you can easily scroll down to the bottom of his feed.Does he have any cancelable Tweets?
Never can tell these days.He/Him in his bio... big yikes folks!
Why?Calm down bro. I'm just not a fan of people who have pronouns in their bios. We all cool with that?

Main reason is cause they virtue signal about bullshit. And also, you are a man. Why do we need to know your pronouns? I’m quite certain we understand a male is a he and a him but could also be a complete fuckwit. Why?
Have you actually seen him virtue signal about bullshit.Main reason is cause they virtue signal about bullshit. And also, you are a man. Why do we need to know your pronouns? I’m quite certain we understand a male is a he and a him but could also be a complete fuckwit.
Well non-binary is total horse shit anyway so I'm not for supporting someone's delusions of who they want to identify as.Have you actually seen him virtue signal about bullshit.
My understanding is that people put their pronouns as a very small act of support for non-binary people. It's meant as a nice thing, not a bad thing.
What have they done that's bad though?Well non-binary is total horse shit anyway so I'm not for supporting someone's delusions of who they want to identify as.
That's ok- you keep feeding into people's delusions. I'll refer to people by their name. And if they're a male or female, I'll use the proper pronouns that we have used for many many years, not some made up bullshit just because people feel "comfortable" being referred to as they/them.What have they done that's bad though?
It's a very small act to support people who feel more comfortable being referred to a certain way.
It's a thing that's meant to positive to some people and negative to no none. There's no harm.

Funny that you'd have a GIF of HIM (I assume HE prefers those pronouns) considering the recent rants he's gone on about gender and such...
What, you'd rather Chris Pratt voice him instead?A no-name dude is voicing Mario now? Finding it hard to get excited about that

So if a friend or colleague asked you to refer to them a certain way, you would intentionally do the thing you know they don't like? That's ok- you keep feeding into people's delusions. I'll refer to people by their name. And if they're a male or female, I'll use the proper pronouns that we have used for many many years, not some made up bullshit just because people feel "comfortable" being referred to as they/them.
My perspective on this is that I know people who have (or are in the process of having) gender changing surgery and its making them happier as a result. The thing that is bad is supporting a delusion. If a male wants to be a female (or vice versa), that's too bad. We shouldn't pander to the mentally unstable and redefine what it means to be man/male or woman/female. That's ridiculous.
Having said that, there is a difference between not supporting the delusional, and attacking people. I can have my opinions about transgender and pronouns without being outright antagonistic towards those who identify as transgender and/or those who use pronouns. I don't know why the person you're responding to is being so vocal about their hatred for pronouns. I think the pronoun thing is stupid, but who am I helping by interjecting that in day-to-day conversation? Absolutely nobody.
I will refer to a male as he and a female as she. I don't care what delusions of grandeur people have. The sooner we stop bending to people's crazy beliefs the sooner this shit goes away. Simple. So if a friend or colleague asked you to refer to them a certain way, you would intentionally do the thing you know they don't like?
Mama mia/Papa mio.Yep i hate this Woke trend but its not surprising at all given its LA and as long as 'he' does a good job (as much as he can say about voicing Mario) and shouts Mama Mia! then it doesn't matter who it is
But if someone prefers "they/them" it's not a delusion of grandeur. It's a preference.I will refer to a male as he and a female as she. I don't care what delusions of grandeur people have. The sooner we stop bending to people's crazy beliefs the sooner this shit goes away. Simple.
Listen to me clearly as I am not going to repeat myself again- I will NOT refer to a person as they/them if it is asked of me, no matter much you or anyone else wants society to bend for their delusions. But if someone prefers "they/them" it's not a delusion of grandeur. It's a preference.
And this guys wants you to use he/him, which is what you want to use for him as well.
dude lay off he said one thing and you turn this into a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee thread. But if someone prefers "they/them" it's not a delusion of grandeur. It's a preference.
