I can have my opinions about transgender and pronouns without being outright antagonistic towards those who identify as transgender and/or those who use pronouns. So if a friend or colleague asked you to refer to them a certain way, you would intentionally do the thing you know they don't like?

To me it's just basic manners. Its similar to how I know several people who prefer being called a different name then what is written on their birth certificate (such as a nickname or their middle name). I gain nothing by intentionally calling them something they don't like, so I use their preferred name.

In any case, this particular actor is asking you to refer to them by the pronouns you would use anyway, so there's no "yikes".

Listen to me clearly as I am not going to repeat myself again- I will NOT refer to a person as they/them if it is asked of me, no matter much you or anyone else wants society to bend for their delusions.
It is common to refer to people as they but I will not call a male a they/them cause "they" want me to when I know who "they" are and what sex "they" are!
