Kevin Afghani is the voice of Mario and Luigi in Super Mario Bros. Wonder

I think this guy is lying, I can't find any credits for him anywhere. And Nintendo explicitly said that we would find out who the actor is in the credits.
It's the real deal:
Nintendo confirmed the news in an email, saying simply, “The voice actor’s name is Kevin Afghani.” The news comes after iconic voice actor Charles Martinet stepped away from the role in August to become a Mario ambassador.

O boy I wonder if he has the acting chops to convincingly say "wahoo" and "I cooka da pizza!"

Seeing that video and hearing him in the role it seems he'll do fine. It sounds like Mario and that's all I care about.

Honest to God, who the hell cares?

A no-name dude is voicing Mario now? Finding it hard to get excited about that

Is he like super famous or something?

Main reason is cause they virtue signal about bullshit. And also, you are a man. Why do we need to know your pronouns? I’m quite certain we understand a male is a he and a him but could also be a complete fuckwit.
Have you actually seen him virtue signal about bullshit.

My understanding is that people put their pronouns as a very small act of support for non-binary people. It's meant as a nice thing, not a bad thing.

Well non-binary is total horse shit anyway so I'm not for supporting someone's delusions of who they want to identify as.
What have they done that's bad though?

It's a very small act to support people who feel more comfortable being referred to a certain way.

It's a thing that's meant to positive to some people and negative to no none. There's no harm.

That's ok- you keep feeding into people's delusions. I'll refer to people by their name. And if they're a male or female, I'll use the proper pronouns that we have used for many many years, not some made up bullshit just because people feel "comfortable" being referred to as they/them.

The thing that is bad is supporting a delusion. If a male wants to be a female (or vice versa), that's too bad. We shouldn't pander to the mentally unstable and redefine what it means to be man/male or woman/female. That's ridiculous.

Having said that, there is a difference between not supporting the delusional, and attacking people. I can have my opinions about transgender and pronouns without being outright antagonistic towards those who identify as transgender and/or those who use pronouns. I don't know why the person you're responding to is being so vocal about their hatred for pronouns. I think the pronoun thing is stupid, but who am I helping by interjecting that in day-to-day conversation? Absolutely nobody.

So if a friend or colleague asked you to refer to them a certain way, you would intentionally do the thing you know they don't like?

To me it's just basic manners. Its similar to how I know several people who prefer being called a different name then what is written on their birth certificate (such as a nickname or their middle name). I gain nothing by intentionally calling them something they don't like, so I use their preferred name.

In any case, this particular actor is asking you to refer to them by the pronouns you would use anyway, so there's no "yikes".

My perspective on this is that I know people who have (or are in the process of having) gender changing surgery and its making them happier as a result.

So if they feel a certain way and the treatment makes them feel better, I see no reason why I should be bothered by that.

I will refer to a male as he and a female as she. I don't care what delusions of grandeur people have. The sooner we stop bending to people's crazy beliefs the sooner this shit goes away. Simple.

But if someone prefers "they/them" it's not a delusion of grandeur. It's a preference.

And this guys wants you to use he/him, which is what you want to use for him as well.

Listen to me clearly as I am not going to repeat myself again- I will NOT refer to a person as they/them if it is asked of me, no matter much you or anyone else wants society to bend for their delusions.
It is common to refer to people as they but I will not call a male a they/them cause "they" want me to when I know who "they" are and what sex "they" are!
This guy putting he/him in his bio shows how fucking dumb he is. He is a male. We ALL know he is a he/him without him having to virtue signal what his "preferred" pronouns are. Why they need to be preferred is beyond me anyway...

I hope that clears it up for you somewhat...
