Some of my favorite shows

Yeah, out of all of these, the comedy in Community sometimes overlaps with what they are doing here. I guess it’s the Dan Harmon connection.

High on Life is what I tend to call anti-comedy. Something like Tim and Eric, Wet Hot American Summer, etc.

I am actually enjoying this game quite a bit. Much more than I expected. The humor is a little all over the place for me but I mostly find it entertaining. Even if it doesn't make me laugh out loud.

I bought the first season and couldn't finish the first episode. This game has reminded me why.

Just finished it and it was a ton of fun. Not as funny as I think it wants to be but I chuckled a few times.

I really enjoyed the combat especially enemy juggling…a lot of fun. The environments are well done and varied other than some light backtracking.

I look forward to a sequel with a bigger budget. It’ll do the game and it’s world a bigger justice.

I finished the game yesterday and it’s easily my most surprising game of the year. The gameplay is just so much fun. The worlds are all so interesting to explore. And the humor was just so hilarious to me. Loved all the cameos and surprises it had throughout. Before playing I expected to enjoy it, but afterwords it’s easily in my top ten games of the year. Fantastic game.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
I appreciate the better lines. Not a fan of ‘Morty voice’, but at least I have Gus now. Btw, another patch came out a day or two back with a bunch of extra bug fixes.

Nice, I'm only two achievements from the 1000, will jump back again in the weekend.

The gameplay is just as fun as the comedy and Easter eggs. Its obviously not going for max difficulty. Its just nailed enough combat depth to be fast and fun though. Im just sliding through battles like a mini-Vanquish almost, switching weapons and melee frequently. The vacuum aim is great. The grapple hook often adds verticality. Its just difficult enough to keep you engaged but never more than a light arcade experience. The auto snap on the aiming is pretty exaggerated as well but keeps the fights moving along. Without gyro it was the right call.

Am loving the game, not really had any bugs yet luckily. But I like the fact I can find ways out the maps and go exploring 😁😂 am on XBSX, though day 1 the performance was questionable.

First update fixed this and second update don’t see or feel much difference. Though I do have a LG CX.

One thing that annoys me is in
the cinema where the guys constantly talk over the movie & there is no way to mute them.

So I never got this until now, is the reason the aliens go from yellow to blue and sometimes thinner like they're in fat suits when you shoot them because they're all gooped up?

The goop is actually their armor. You're shooting through it to get to the alien underneath and damaging them is what kills them.

As someone who spent wayyyy too much time in the greys & browns of Skyrim and Fallout it's so refreshing to see such vibrant colored environments.
It's also a relief to just play a silly game without a "serious" typical story.

the gameplay is surprisingly good. It's refreshing among formulaic samey aaa games these days. I don't get such a low overall review score tbh.

Probably a mixture of the humor not hitting with the reviewer(s) and the game having a pretty bad performance issue that was fixed with the day 1 patch. Reviewers all played the 'broken' version of the game.

The writing is great if you're a fan of the Roiland style humor.
Yea its much better than the post Season 1 Rick and Morty dogshit (none of it was written by Roiland iirc which explains the sudden nosedive after the first season). I'm genuinely finding the game funny for the most part, I like how it almost feels like a shitpost to have Roiland rambling to you for hours as a talking gun.

Yea at this point I'm confident game reviewers are just fart huffing "this media MUST be art" douches just like movie reviewers at this point. If the game isn't touching on sensitive issues or extremely cinematic, its just "okay" in their eyes.

I had the same experience. It was desperately unfunny. I'm not American so I filed it under "popular American comedy therefore fucking dire" and moved on with my life.

That said... I'm downloading it now on game pass. Sometimes I need to play a game I know I'll hate and this seems like a good candidate

Just finished it. I wouldn't put it on any top tens of my own, maybe for fun games in 2022, but it's a good time. Totally worth playing, if you got the sense of humor for it.

I've never watched Rick and Morty, but I found myself laugh a few times during the game. Not all the jokes are bangers, but I couldn't help but laugh or smile at a big chunk of the game.

I think I just really appreciate how polished it is. I'm so used to games releasing in buggy messes, or just being the same old shit...and while this doesn't really do anything new per se, it's the kind of game we haven't seen in a long fucking time it feels. So many franchises that used to have these tight single player campaigns like this, all went open world or something with a lot of grinding.

Also yes, I sat and watched the entirety of Demon Wind with Mike, Jay and Rich lol Makes me wish they still did more commentary tracks.

I fell in love with the game during the first 10 min. I just killed Kronos or whatever his name is and so far I'm really enjoying it. The only thing that is bothering me is JB smooth as the frog gun thing.

Another excellent game on game pass. I'm 4 hours in. One huge plus is I don't have to rely on shitty reviews that have underlying agendas and can try it out on game pass. One of the funniest games of all time.

Broken forums and broken warp crystal pickups are gonna keep me from doing it.

Still, great game. I loved the I lost it at the Alien Randy Newman parody at the end.
