Any technical analysis of a movie or novel neeeds to work with the whole, not just an aspect that’s limited by some limitation, you don’t get what a technical analysis is. Say something amazing graphically happened in the last 3/4 of the product, with your view they should not be able to address it making their own technical analysis incomplete for the sake of story… that’s no good.

Technical analysis are not just for fans of the product, they’re to showcase what a product at its best is. Skipping a portion of the product would be ignorant of the analysis.

Fanaticism is clouding the logic of these people that refuse to understand what a technical analysis is.

His videos are getting too long. His TLOU video was 50 minutes. if you need 50 minutes to review a game, especially when you're only reviewing the technical aspects then you are doing something wrong.

maybe its to get more ads in. the longer the video, the more ads youtube lets you cram in there.

what doesnt make sense is why he would spoil this stuff in a fucking text article. people read that fucking thing instead of watching his videos to avoid spoilers. for him to just casually drop spoilers there is bizarre. On era hes saying its early in the game. ok, well if its early in the game then why the fuck did SSM, Sony and their marketing did not reveal it? Nor did any of the previews that covered the first five hours of the game.

I had to watch the video three times to see the Spoiler Warning. For people making video on technical aspect of video these dumbfucks know nothing about visual cue or coloring. You show spoiler warning in beg red letter you dumbfuck with fucking audio cue. And on top of it he had no fucking need of showing those scenes, he absolutely didn't point out any technicality especially in those heavy spoiler scene. They were just playing out. I was a bit in numb state coming after work and the fuck did I just witness. Every cunt youtuber is showing spoiler for views and I know that there are spoiler protecting filters but than there are channels like Skillup which straight up start rolling spoiler in unrelated video to make a point. Even worse when the spoiler they showed was just a throw away scene, they weren't even analizing something in that scene if what people say is true, this feels absolutely avoidable and in bad taste.

I mean yeah they signaled the spoilers at the beginning but the whole thing was poorly thought out from the beginning, you simply don't put a big spoiler in a tech review, there is no reason for it.

Oh and btw, you get spoilers even by just listening or reading the whole thing, so yeah, kinda of a cunt but mostly stupid move on their part.

True, but a lot of the times, devs sometimes put the more taxing stuff later in the game. Sometimes areas in late game may have more visually going on than the opening areas. This is not unheard of.

True, and you can blur the rest of the image and only show the specific detail that you are talking about or whatever editing technique to not show too much in sensible scenes, it is their fucking job to edit videos to be as well thought and spoiler free as possible, because once again, these type of review rely on people actually watching the video way more than your normal game review that speak about the game in general terms, putting heavy spoiler in something that they should push for being watched is absolutely moronic.

If you have read OP properly you may have realized that I am making a point of how John fucked up too..and my arguments have merit because a lot of people have similar complain...not to even mention that this game was plunged into spoilerfest by some retailers and we who dont want that are doing our best to not fall in that feed. So thar part of this review came as bad gesture at bad timing in bad taste...since John also is also clearly very passionate about this medium. Its uncharcterstic and off key...and not only that I am assuming this is probably very very early in game probably in first 15 minutes so he considered its fine which it would have been if not for the fact that he has played previous game and knows where the tension point lie and with which characters. Those few scenes are inexcusable. I know there is a lot more story to this game but that was just way of the mark. Now you have done it three times so dont just remind me to reply TIFU.

How many tech reviews show the start or first few minutes of the game?

Go back and watch their videos youll notice most of their reviews show atleast the first 15 minutes of a game.
