Looks amazing yeah and the way they do different biomes, it’s just brilliant all of itReally loving the DLC, and it look AMAZING
Let's move back onto Forza shall we?It's sitting at 72 to 78 percent depending on the platform. Pretty good. My point stands about there already being a modern Hotwheels game. Tell me about how much you love it when it comes to gamepass.
Don't waste your time going to the store for games you've already bought. Go My games and Apps < Full Library and then just click the game and download it.Hi all, I don't want to start a new thread, just wondered if one of you could confirm for me. Is Forza Horizon 2 available on the store ?(I bought it years ago and the Storm Island addon) but they aren't showing up in the store. I'm using Series X BTW.
The Centario?Just unlocked the S1 tier and flying around the course in my Lamborghini is sublime.
They definitely went above-and-beyond with this. FH3 Hot Wheels DLC was amazing but this is a whole level higher than that. Larger in scope and design and just better designed all around. The graphical improvements between FH3 and FH5 are a major contributing factor as well.
I didn't enjoy fh3 hotwheels much at all. They are doing some much more interesting things with the track in this so ive actually been playing this. As for it not being hard or challenging, it's pretty much like the base game so until you get to the s class cars it isn't overly hard on expert drivatars. Once you get to the fast cars you do need to start actually braking and hitting the apexs right, it can be a little harder than the base game in that aspect because if you come in too tight you can't just cut the inside in the dirt because you hit the wall. So, it's fun?
The graphics look phenomenal and the base gameplay control of FH5 is enjoyable, but the trailer and play videos made it seem a little simple and limited in actual gameplay (wide tracks, mostly on the plastic course despite the wild exteriors, automatic "magnetized" physics,) I kind of got the vibe of a great tech demo or motion simulator off of it more than than full-on game with challenge and technique. Am I super wrong about that? (Never played FH3 Hot Wheels; I also haven't played Hot Wheels Unleashed and that seems like it's a little dry too at times but the vehicle density and track obstacles made sense to me what the challenge is.) Will check out more playthroughs to see what else it's driving at.
Can’t they make a separate Hot Wheels IP?
There's already HW Unleashed, which is... fucking phenomenal really, the gameplay is literally perfect, the visuals, the music, it's all top notch.
Yeah, and with this idea with multiple biomes. It’s gaming, everything doesn’t always have to make perfect sense.halo infinite on this game engine wouldve been insane.
You know what the OP means. We need a Hot Wheels game developed by Playground Games. They make the best racing games in the world (not even close) so imagine a full fledged Hot Wheels game developed by them. This game you posted...it probably bombed. With Playground's name on a Hot Wheels game it would sell millions. It's almost a no brainer. It's sitting at 72 to 78 percent depending on the platform. Pretty good. It is for me, I’ve played both but Hot Wheels in FH5 is much better, much crazier tracks, new track types, and more variety from the biomes.GG but the wow factor is not there if you already played FH3 Hot Wheels expansion.
I thought the opening race alone in FH5 HW was leagues better than the whole off FH3 Hot Wheels expansion in all honesty. It is for me, I’ve played both but Hot Wheels in FH5 is much better, much crazier tracks, new track types, and more variety from the biomes.
I think they should’ve skipped the A class cars though, that’s my main complaint, it feels too slow until you’ve progressed a bit.

Milestone, aka the people who made Screamer? It wouldn't surprise me that it is good then. I have fond memories of their early games, they also made 'Racing Evoluzione' on OG Xbox.Hot Wheels Unleashed sold over a million very quickly and became Milestone's best/fastest selling game ever
Forza is a great game, but I fucking loathe the vibe of the characters.Hey amigo! Have you heard about Papa Fernando, Superstar? Come meet his familia, they are loco!
Someone got paid to write this shit. I cringe every time. Can't imagine how Spanish speaking people feel hearing that drivel.
Forza is a great game, but I fucking loathe the vibe of the characters.
Everyone is cheery and wants to be your friend to a seriously cringy fault
That's a good idea, but seeing their lips move with no audio would drive me crazy, and it's the writing as wellSettings > Audio > Speech > 0
Highly recommend.

I think the Lego one and the new hot wheels one are leagues above the other expansions, that I never went back too after completing.Sure it was.
I think I need to do this.Settings > Audio > Speech > 0

But the Lego one and this one I really enjoy driving around & I'm sure I'll revisit.
Obviously everyone likes different things.
It wasn't always like that. We all know why this is happening.Forza is a great game, but I fucking loathe the vibe of the characters.

I've only played 4 and 5, why is it happening? Is motorsport the same way? (serious question idk)It wasn't always like that. We all know why this is happening.
On NeoGAF the sun itself only rises and sets for wokeness.I've only played 4 and 5, why is it happening? Is motorsport the same way? (serious question idk)
Honestly my assumption is that they are just quadrupling down on it being a cheesy arcade racer available for kids
That's probably a portion tbh, but I think the larger one is that they are quite literally casting the widest net possible, I think appealing to children is the larger issueOn NeoGAF the sun itself only rises and sets for wokeness.
It’s not that easy for children tbh, mine are playing it and they’re going like ping pong balls between the walls and use the rewind mechanic for every other turn. That's probably a portion tbh, but I think the larger one is that they are quite literally casting the widest net possible, I think appealing to children is the larger issue
I wasn't particularly referring to the gameplay, but I see what you mean. It’s not that easy for children tbh, mine are playing it and they’re going like ping pong balls between the walls and use the rewind mechanic for every other turn.
I think they’re just trying to have some fun really, to be more positive. It’s like Miles Morales, everybody is happy there too. I kinda like it. But the Neeeed for Geeees line at the intro race makes me want to mute the sound lol
It definitely looks like a lot of fun. As someone who’s not all that into racing sims I think I would have enjoyed this way more than the base game.
Shame it’s not on GamePass.
The hobby is usually so dark and depressing so I don’t mind it when someone tries to add a more positive vibe. But I get what you’re saying, they’re definitely pushing it.I wasn't particularly referring to the gameplay, but I see what you mean.
Miles morales definitely does it too, but it feels a lot more organic, forza definitely feels try hard lol. Don't get me wrong I still love the game, but I shouldn't have to cringe quite literally near every "story" moment, if you know what I mean.
I don't know if motorsport has any sort of overarching story kind of beat as I haven't played any, but if it does, I certainly hope it's tuned way, way down lol
Funnily what you are describing started to become prominent with FH4. FH1 was criticised for sexism iirc (by some ultra-woke critics at least, and this was 2012!), FH2 just felt like a really beautiful vacation, and FH3 was pretty neutral in this regard too. You might be spot on with your assumption.I've only played 4 and 5, why is it happening? Is motorsport the same way? (serious question idk)

Increase the difficulty if it’s too easy, it should suggest it for you if you keep winning even when you hit walls. When it’s right you should have to play like old school Ridge Racer, perfect turns every time and some bastard number 1 driving as if he’s locked to aPlayed a lil bit. Same old shit. This makes you guys go wow? You barely have to turn or steer. Track design is horrible.
The entire point of Forza Horizon is being a husk to fill with DLC it’s full of toxic microtransactions, with shitty rewards for leveling up as a “wheel spin” gambling mechanic, with races that getting first place in is barely more rewarded than finishing in any place. Then they'd have to give it away 'free' with Gamepass (which I presume is not the case with this DLC?)
