I just can't believe it's 70 quid.....you're funking crazy if you buy this at 70 dollars and it doesn't include the multiplayer.

It's like 22 hours maybe if you play the dlc as well....I've completed the game like 5 times so maybe it's just me but even I can't see this being worth 70 bones and it's one of my favourite games of all time.

I dont. I dont work at game companies or Apple.

But I'll trust their strategic decisions on doing what they can to make more profits as good enough reasons to do what they do.

They wouldnt go through all this hassle doing PC ports and buying Nixxes to lose sales, profits or users.
They are going through all of this because of the supply constraints on the ps5, which they've stated they are trying to fill in the gaps.

Oh damn, I completely forgot about the multiplayer component of the original game. Getting charged more for less content in this version. Looks like inflation has hit its peak at Sony HQ.

goddamn I havent seen this much activity for the remake of a remake.

Sony can already taste the money. Sony gonna have to make a PS6 remake for this game.

Im enjoy the series alot, but they gonna have to add a few hours of added sequences for me to replay. Gonna need that Factions multiplayer released though.

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
Character faces from the original cut scenes are still top tier, but it had the advantage of being pre rendered.

It's in gameplay where the game shows age visually

Really...

This is one of the screenshots I posted in the Console Screenshot thread back in 2014.

I get it, LoU is one of PlayStation’s crown gems so it’s nice to have it in it’s best form but they truly could’ve waited a whole generation..I’ll buy it but might wait a bit unless factions is included

The story of the first game with the combat of the second game? You can bet your ass I am excited.

I need confirmation of going prone though. That really brought the stealth/combat to life for me.

That's what we are comparing it too aren't we?
Why would we compare it to the PS3 version 🤔
Because cutscenes were realtime on the PS4 and he was talking about pre-rendered cutscenes which were only in the PS3 version.

EDIT: i guess not.

If it makes you sleep better at night to believe that, you go ahead. But even if there weren't supply constraints they'd be doing PC games. They were testing the waters before COVID was a thing with Predator and Horizon.
I sleep better regardless, I stand on my statement and you plus others claiming the contrary of Sony's own statements without any evidence falls on def ears.

Many of the PC gamers such as yourself will run with your conclusion and that's fine. You have your beliefs and I have mine.

You're calling other people's opinions bogus conjecture, yet made a statement with no proof yourself. Their PC port strategy started long time behind the scenes before chip shortages.

Relax. You'll still be able to play LoU Remake on PS5.

Disappointed in the graphics; doesn’t look much better than TLoU 2. And I’m really surprised that this doesn’t include multiplayer. I thought they would’ve bundled it with Factions (while also releasing it as a f2p game separately).

It’s also weird that they’d state that a PC version is in development before the game is even out. You’d think they’d keep that under wraps, and then release the PC version later to get people to double dip. But apparently they’re fine with people just waiting for the PC version? If so, I’m surprised they’d be willing to leave that double-dip money on the table, because I don’t actually believe that there is some giant untapped market of core PC-only gamers who never play on console.

I’m curious how the sales percentages between PC and PS5 for this game are gonna look like, since it’s the first Sony game where the PC version is announced from the very start. Maybe that’s why Sony decided to announce the PC version so early? A kind of trial balloon maybe?

How many times can u remaster a remaster and remake a remake , played it on ps3 played it on ps4 Pro now what some fancy hair and cloth physics?

They probably realize the overlap of double dippers is small and not worth doing their later and last minute PC release info. Just promo it in one shot with PS5. Hyping up games on PC now also allows them to put it up on Steam faster for pre-orders.

If the loss of sales from PS gamers converting to PC and/or loss from double dippers is a big risk, they wouldnt port games or announce PC same as PS.

Loved the first games but I don't see the point in a remake. I had this game on PS3 and got it free with my ps4.. and they still look great.

People buy the same thingy multiple times these days.

Why would it look much better than TLOU2??? :pie_confused: Not that one could complain about TLOU2's visuals and there's only 2 years gap between releases. $70 price tag is stupid though.

GD dude lol they even outlined their plans and why during the last state of play, do you want me to link the video of it so you can watch it? Lol I figured s grown man would do something called research.

What you've said is conjecture because nowhere has Sony said that they've been planning to release their games on PC pre COVID or insinuated it. I've actually looked up what you've said.

Why would I need to relax when I'm already calm. Your right I will still play it on my ps5 and will enjoy doing it lol.

This is true. We know for a fact that HZD PC port started development before pandemic especially since it launched just four months into the pandemic.

We know for a fact that GOW's PC port had started development 2 years before its launch in January 2022.

We know for a fact that Days Gone team moved to porting the game to PC right after shipping the first game in 2019.

So what changed in 2019? Jim's first full in charge, he fired Shawn Layden and demoted Shu Yoshida and promoted Herman Hurst. This has nothing to do with the chip shortage.

I think we're gonna see a lot of potato screenshots of the PS3 and Remastered versions to justify this acquisition. But anyway, good for the fans and for the newcomers that want to jump straight to this "remake". I actually like it, but not that enough to get this one.

They should have shown the actual gameplay differences and upgrades.. because realtime cut scenes will always look worse than pre-rendered..

We'll have to all wait and see how many copies of this game sells. Right now there's roughly 20M PS5s. By year end probably 25-30M pending supply.

How many of the 200M Steam users can run this game well? Who knows. But it's an untapped market.

I wouldnt be surprised if the PC port sells just as well as the PS5 game due to the hardware count and many PS5 gamers have already played it before on PS3 or PS4.

Joel and Ellie were like a cartoon in TLOU (and Remaster) since they were based on sketchs and not on actual people. Not only the textures but also the 3D models were (a bit) stylized.

They improved these characters a lot in TLOU2 using their voice actors as reference and now they appear as normal people.

You had characters like Tess, Henry and Sam which were very realistics even on PS3, but in the same scene with the main characters, Joel and Ellie looked like a cardboard cutout.

Guess you missed a lot of the visual story telling of that situation:

The room looks clearer, tidier and more professional to give more the impression the Fireflies knew what they were doing and that Ellie was in "good" hands. Not like the run down appearance the room had in the original with a more creepy looking doctor(wrinkly, deeply sunken eyes, hard facial features etc).
It still looks like a dirty storage room. And the doctor lost his wrinkles, so what?
