The Last of Us Part I - PS5 - Coming September 2 (PC version in development)

NeonGhost

uses 'M$' - What year is it? Not 2002.
If this is a 1:1 game just with better graphics I’m throwing this in the remaster category

Something your low standards in gaming aren't familiar with, I guess.

low standards? no, I think you misunderstood... I don't like TLOU

for real, a more generic stealth game is almost impossible to make. extremely simplified controls and the most cliché game mechanics with no twist to them either, just straight up cliché everything from the story to the mechanics

I played it 10x. 5x on PS4, 4x on PS4 and then once more after the PS4 Pro 4k patch. ;p Wonderful PS3 game, but man I wanted more than just PS4 combat. I remember posting about ND should use this as a game to really experiment with the CPU pushing the A.I, physics and destruction we have never seen before, but doesnt look like we are going to get any of that since they didnt even bother upgrading the graphics to next gen standards.

Neil was made President in 2020, right? 2 years later, he produces a last gen remake. This is why you dont put creative in charge of studios. Bring Shu back. When Bluepoint is producing better visual quality than ND, it's time to shake things up.

Two years and they couldn’t produce visuals that look next gen like Matrix Demo?

$70????

Seriously lazy and pathetic

Well… Day one.
One of the best games of all time and my favourite PlayStation game.
With better controls and better graphics.
I am really happy

By your logic ND should keep ignored the ideia of new IPs when TLOUS was announced as a new IP for PS3 and keep milking UC.

Naughty Dog previously had problems with development cycles meaning that when a game finished up and a new game was in early development there would be nothing for a large amount of the studio to do. Hence those people got laid off.

Now they are still doing the Early Development on a new game, doing a multiplayer game and kept the remainder of the staff busy and developing by doing a remake.

So yes doing a remake is for sure smarter than laying off your staff knowing you will eventually have to hire similarly skilled people again in a year or twos time.

Great game but it didn‘t really need a Remake imo. The Remaster from the PS4 was superb.

I'm pretty sure they gonna remake to make their bad take with 2 be on pair with the first one.
Waste of time if you ask me. First one is good enought, the only reason to remake is if someone there think its "bad".

Lol, look at the cover. Big ass Ellie and small Joel. I already know where this is going.

So you couldn’t name a game that came close to it? Or are you just worried that people will rip your taste to shreds? 😂

Close what? for real, the gameplay is the most simple shit you can imagine. it's like if you took the already dumbed down stealth mechanics from Splinter Cell Blacklist and further dumbed it down.

then you add some crafting, because can't have a mainstream game these days without crafting, and a generic zombie outbreak theme.

garnish that with awful AA and a bad framerate and you have TLOU on PS3

I’m in for sure, uncharted, spider man, Horzion, god of war and the last of us..

Just need knack and we got them all!
You know you joke, but Knack was a visually impressive game when it launched. The cutscenes were incredible, and the particle effects and physics surrounding Knack's breakable parts were actually kinda impressive. Game itself sucked ass, but not gonna lie, I was impressed by the visuals when I first saw it at Eurogamer Expo.

Sony IP's are becoming mainstream for the media/TV. For that to happen they should go to PC eventually. Sony can't make enough PS5's.
Sorry bro but hard disagree. Bullshit they can do crossgen and will sell tones. Exclusive should be exclusive, It's sad to see Sony are giving up and selling themselves to Valve.

It’s smarter to have a two game studio pipeline

But Beard Drunkman drove off Amy and the rest was history

Now we get $70 remakes

So should EVERYONE. This is a $70 PS4 game being marketed and sold as a PS5 game. Lets have high standards please.
If only it were that. Its less than without Factions component.

Im looking forward to gameplay enhancements, new expanded areas like when REmake had a whole new area of the mansion with suits of armor. But im not looking forward to the narrative changes at all.
